We were seated and at first I was kind of wondering what was taking so long to take our orders but to my surprise it was a one man show and I started being patient. The food was great. The bread was fresh and soft and warm and the empanadas as well. Flavor wise they were nothing special but the quality was great. We got the beef tongue as well and it was amazing. Super soft and flavorful that had us coming for more. And finally the reason for my 4 stars, we got the anchovies pizza. The crust was great everything was great however the salt in the anchovies wasn't accounted for and made the pizza super salty. As I've been on an expedition of trying new things, I thought I would give their Vinaigrette Beef Tongue appetizer a shot. It was 8 pieces of YES, TONGUE, and after getting over the fact of what it looked like I took a dive right in. It was absolutely disgusting! Very chewy with a rather strong freezer burn taste. I only made it through two before I called it a day. I hate to waste food but none of my companions were interested either. They really DRENCH their food here in too much olive oil which perhaps more spices and spiciness are needed. I requested the tongue spicy but evidently that was not an option. On the positive, their house bread is absolutely delicious and is something that I would recommend. Don't think I'll be going back anytime soon though; if ever. read more

I was won over by the warm-hearted mega-friendliness of the proprietors and staff while having an early summer lunch under the warm-ish shade of the original restaurant's front veranda. They let us know up-front that everything was made from scratch and there would be a wait. There was a game on the tv and clean dining area, unfortunately the seats are wooden and not very comfortable. Casual atmosphere, several family size tables, and outdoor seating. Handicap accessible dining area. Food was definitely worth the wait! The empanadas were unbelievable. Filling was ground beef, egg, tomato sauce and perfectly seasoned, with a crispy pastry that wasn't doughy inside. Wish it had a dipping sauce. The House sandwich was good, with absolutely perfect bread. My egg was well done, would have been better if it had a drippy yolk, so I made notes to ask for that next time. Fries were good, thin crispy shoestring fries that weren't over-salted (salt on table, so easy to adjust to your liking). Also ordered the pepperoni pizza, which was awesome! Love the cheese, not too much sauce, and the crust!!! Omg the perfect crispy fluffy pan crust. Overall really pleased. Went there for the first time on Saturday. Couldn't be more disappointed. We were the only table there and it still took 40 minutes to make two sandwiches that were absolute garbage. Was charged three dollars a bottle for Walmart water. They don't have complementary water. Service was ridiculously slow and couldn't get the server's attention to pay the tab. This place is worth the try! The empanadas were delicious. We tried the beef, ham and cheese, and roquefort. My favorite was the roquefort while my husband enjoyed the ham and cheese the most. All were tasty and cooked to perfection. For entrees I ordered the neapolitan milanesa which was absolutely delicious! 10/10 recommend! I got a side salad with it which could easily be passed on. While I enjoyed it, it was just shredded iceberg with some tomatoes and oil and vinegar. The fresh bread served with our meal was also tasty. Service was friendly. The best traditional empanadas in Utah hands down. For those that don't taste that fix your taste buds. After coming here from Miami I haven't found a restaurant I'd return to in this State. This is the only restaurant with actual authentic use of Argentinian meat. Argentinian people know that the purpose of the way they cook their meat is to taste the quality of the meat! Not to over season it and take the flavor away. The first thing I was asked by the waiter/cook/cashier/owner was how I wanted my meat to be cooked. The Owner of the restaurant is very nice and inviting. The restaurant feels like you are eating at someone's home and you're eating with family. I recommend this place to any that honestly wants good authentic Argentinian food. We realized the owners were actually seated at a table near the soda fridge hanging out. Finally, a man stands up from the table and ushers us to a table. I ordered a sandwich and my husband ordered empanadas. Both means were terrible. My sandwich looked like something I make at home, but the ham on the one they made me looked like prepackaged meat (square ham slices) and store bought bread. My husband said the empanadas were VERY dry. The owners sat at the table and never got back up to see if we wanted additional drinks or anything else. We had to go to their table and ask for the check. We didn't plan to go back until today we went there for an office lunch unfortunately. This time we both ordered pizza. Again, it was bad. I ordered a small pepperoni pizza and my hubby ordered a medium ham and mushroom. My small pizza looked just like the old school personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut- but freezer burnt. I reminded him when I was in Argentina they brought me a Hibachi of meat I couldn't identify, because of the way it was cut, but I ate it and I enjoyed it. Only folks there @ 5P on a weekday. Owner's daughter, Allison, was our waitress and asked if English or Spanish today. Super enthusiastic about the things she loved; maybe needs more "dummy training" on explaining the cultural dishes. We love Argentine Corner! This place can be hard to find as it is a tiny place in a dark corner of a small business area between the KWAL paint store on one side and Weston's emission shop on the other on Main Street in Clearfield, UT. The owner Jose' and his daughter are wonderful people and always treat us fantastic every time we go to eat in or order take out. They make everything to order so yes, you are going to wait a while for your food. Don't complain. It WILL be worth it. They have fantastic Milanesa (2 varieties) and their russian potato salad and empanadas are excellent. All of their dishes are authentic and amazing! If you eat in, he will bring you a nice appetizer plate with cheeses, bread and beef tongue that is seasoned perfectly. As other's have said, we would love to see meatier asado shortribs and less fat on them. Otherwise they are very good. The inside is far from fancy with just standard tables and assorted chairs with a few TVs on usually playing a futbol match or similar. You may say it looks cheap. I placed my order around 11:15-1120 and ordered 2 dozen empanadas (chicken, beef & sweet onion) & when asked when I would pick up, I told the man on the phn 12:30...who says ok it will be ready then. So I arrive expecting that the order would be ready around 12:55...I get there & see no one, & was kind of just anxious to pay and leave ASAP since I work in SLC & start at 1:30. I then see a lady & man who obviously see me but are busy prepping and walking around in the back to serve guests who are dining in. I get that you're prob busy trying to push out the food for guests dining in, but I felt like there was no sense of urgency whatsoever or acknowledgement that I was there. The lady, after walking around aimlessly almost then asks me if I was eating in or placing an order to go, to which I reply that I ordered to go and when I tell her what I ordered, she kind of looks puzzled and says something in Spanish to the man who replies and says that it's almost ready before leaving to serve the in-house guests. Wtf! I placed an order over an hr ago and it's still not ready??? ----Anyways...I just tell her that I need to go to work. After a bit of back and forth in Spanish, she then tells me that it will be another 10 min. I then tell her that I need to leave to which she asks if I still want the order and I say yes because I'm just annoyed because I planned to take them to work that day. Anyway..after abt 15 min of waiting the order was finally ready but to cut a long story short - I was LATE to work which pissed me off cause I'm never late & all over miscommunication and just lack of urgency/customer service. There was no empathy in this situation @ all. Just a sorry for the wait on my way out with the order...wtf do I do with that? If I could give them a zero star I would. We USED to love this restaurant. Unfortunately today was the WORST experience. My husband and I were served raw BLOODY chicken and tough meat that was not edible. When we brought it to the owners attention he did absolutely nothing but charge us for food that was unhealthy to eat and walked away from us repeatedly when we asked him questions. The owner would not talk to us or explain why he felt it was acceptable to charge us for the uneaten food. Family restaurant with some of the best and most authentic Argentine food I've ever tasted (and I live in a house full of Argentinians - and they're all good cooks!), but this place is still amazing! So so good. Meat to bread ratio on empanada is perfect. I hate it when there is so much bread and not enough meat. It is flaky and baked to order. Their beef tongue is to die for. The chimichurri sauce is really good. This appetizer comes with toasted bread and it is really soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. After I finished the beef tongue, I used the left over bread to dip it in the sauce. Their beef empanada is yummy, so is their cheese and onions. There is ample parking, well priced and the staff is great. This is my third time here .... went twice yesterday and am now here eating again. This is my favorite restaurant to go to when I am in the area. Food is always excellent and tastes just like it would in Argentina. It's is all made fresh so you will have to wait a bit for your food to arrive but the atmosphere in the restaurant makes the wait worth it. There are plenty of things you can purchase to take home that have been imported. From Mate to Dulce de Leche they have it all. Even purchased some empanada dough to take home to make my own in the oven. Owner is extremely friendly and always takes time to say hi and even let me know what empanada dough he uses there at the restaurant. Had the Chicken Neapolitan Milanesa this time around and it was perfectly cooked and incredibly delicious. The Russian Potato salad was incredible. Also had a few empanadas as well. I tried the Chicken, Ham & Cheese, and Sweet Onion & Cheese empanadas with a side of chimichurri. This place is direct from Buenos Aires with tasty milanesa and a delicious variety of empanadas. We all wished we had more chorizo but would probably pass on the short ribs. I enjoyed the potato salad warmed up and with a little more salt and pepper. Most of the menu items are also available as an uncooked freezer meal for later. First I should say that I know next to nothing about Argentinian food, which is why we were so excited to find this restaurant! I'm normally a big fan of meat and empanadas, though, so I figured I would love it. Turns out, maybe, not so much? Kid ordered a platter o' meat, which ended up being the right choice. Husband and I went for a big selection of empanadas so that we could try all the different ones. They looked so pretty, and I wanted to like them so much, but I just did not. The pastry was very crunchy and the filling very wet, and I found the contrast to be really unpleasant. The flavors in the fillings were just too strong for me. Husband ended up finishing most of them, and he enjoyed the meal a lot more than I. Kid did let me sample some of her meat, which was really delicious, and I wished I had ordered that. My favorite part of the meal was the bread and the pickled tongue appetizer. I could have eaten that all night and been happy. The service was also excellent, so I think it just ended up being one of those things where I ordered poorly, and it didn't suit my personal tastes.
