We LOVE this place. The empanadas are just amazing! We have tried them all, but my favorite are the Sweet Onion and Cheese. Inexpensive and delicious! The reason for 4 stars is that there is just ONE cook. If you go on a busy night you are going to wait for a very long time. If they just hired a second cook this place would get a solid five stars from me. read more

Argentine Corner - Sweet Onion and Cheese Empanadas. Amazing. - Argentine Near Me - Clearfield, Utah

The food Is delectable. The environment just gives a radiating ambiance of Argentinean culture and the staff are a pleasure to do business with. You will not be disappointed eating here read more

It was ok. The owner/cook is running a one man band and you can tell he gets overwhelmed at times. Out flank steak was very overcooked.

1st, the bread is delicious. 2nd, the service is slow but friendly. 3rd, house adobo was ok. The sausage was good and so was the mystery meat :). The chicken could have been better. The ribs, there was more fat than meat But the seasoning was on point. Reason Its getting 3 stars is because of the fat on the ribs. Ill give this place a second chance. :) read more

Can't go wrong with $1.50 empanadas! I got one each of beef, chicken, and sweet onion - all excellent and authentic tasting (I should know since I just took a trip to Argentina!). Make sure you ask for some chimichurri sauce since she didn't give it to me automatically. This is not the speediest place so be ready for that. It also serves as a market of sorts so you can get random drinks, products, mate and soccer themed thermoses (for the mate). read more

I was curious when I heard there was an Argentinian restaurant near work so I went to see how it was. It was actually pretty good. I had the beef tongue appetizer and it was delicious. No, it doesn't look like a tongue and it is marinated in a vinaigrette that was so good. The meat was tender. I also ordered the House Milanesa(beef) which was pretty decent. It was like a beef Parmesan. They have some Argentinian groceries which fits with some of the small restaurants serving regional cuisine that you see from time to time read more

This place is a one man show, so it can get busy. He has to serve everything on styrofoam plates and plastic utensils because he has no help washing dishes or anything. The food is decent, but he is overwhelmed. The Yelp hours are wrong. He is only open Monday through Saturday, 11 AM to 7 PM. Not 10 PM. Yelp is wrong. I got the empanadas and the steak with an egg on top. I came for lunch on a Monday and he was already packed. I liked being able to sit outside under his canopy and trellis. I wish my food came with a side of his chimichurri sauce. He forgot to make my hot manzanilla tea. I arrived about 15 minutes before he opened to beat the rush, but it filled up fast. read more

This place was fantastic! The service is so nice, they make you feel very welcome and put a smile on your face! The food is another plus, it is so delicious and very authentic! Their pizza is fantastic it is a must try! read more

Tasty authentic argentine cuisine. Bread is scratch made and tastes like a corner market store in Argentina. Milanese is fabulous and so at the noquis. read more

The only place you'll find better Argentine food is...in Argentina! Yes I'd know. Please, please, please stop giving this place poor reviews because the service "takes a while". You obviously know NOTHING about Latin America! Eating is an event! Plan on 1.5-2hrs even if the place is empty. If its packed then plan on longer. Oh & they have a tiny kitchen putting out amazing handmade food...its not very speedy, but its amazing. Empanadas are perfect. Each kind has a different rolled edge so they can tell the difference. Every single kind we've tried are amazing. Milanesa is authentic to Argentina. You can get it as an entree or as a sandwich. I LOVE me some Russian potato salad & beef tongue with chimichurri, plus some warm crusty bread to start. read more

I Like it! A little rough on the outside clean and relaxing on the inside. I Sampled a couple empanada's and really like them, smaller than I'm used to but for 1.50 each they were worth the price, plus I needed the room for the huge churrasco plate the guy brought out next. Like most Argentines they have a huge Italian influence and the pictures of their pizzas looked really good. The guy that ran the place told me he makes his Gnocchi daily from scratch plus serves several other pastas (not from scratch) will have to give those a try next time. read more

Very authentic. We spent a week eating delicious food in Argentina and this is almost like being back in Bunos Aires. The meal would have been even better paired with a nice wine but we're in Utah so that's out of the question. The short ribs were tasty as was the milanesa. You can also never go wrong with the empanadas. read more

Argentine Corner - Beef Milanesa - Argentine Near Me - Clearfield, Utah

I have no experience with Argentinian food but they make some pretty flavorful dishes. It looks like a total dive from the outside but that's something that I love. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It looks like a little mom and pop shop because I seem the same people when I go in. I got their pizza this last time I went in and I absolutely koved it. I got the pepperoni pizza and their style of the Hawaiian. The cheese was picture perfect, stringy as you pull it apart from the pizza. The sauce was well-seasoned and creamy, I absolutely loved it. It was so reasonably priced for the quality. I highly recommend trying this place out. read more

The service is on the slower side of things here. Maybe it's just their way of life that carries over to the business or perhaps it's the slight language barrier -who knows, but just be aware of it if you are a fast paced person and expect prompt service. The decor is an odd mixture of "Football" shirts from Real SL and other soccer teams, including some assortments of personal affects. My wife and I ordered the following: House Milanesa (beef) House asado (bbq short ribs) Beef, chicken and Roquefort Empanadas. We were served a nice hot loaf of bread, very tasty, including a bit of beef tongue and a small salad -tasty as well. The beef was tough and chewy and the ribs weren't fall-off-the-bone but rather bite and pull leaving something to be desired. Now the Empanadas that we ate were money, in fact they were the primary reason for visiting in the first place. Yes on Empanadas, no on beef read more

The house bread is so good! Just needs some buttah ;) the Russian potato salad was also delicious. The service was not that good. The waitress seemed impatient and irritated, even though there was only one other small group there? So minus 1 star for the bad service. If you're a small mom and pop restaurant, you should have better service. The drinks were warm and there was no ice? The empanada was good, I should've ordered a selection of that instead of the milanesa, which was not so great. The asado was great, chicken was very tasty. Will definitely come back to try the beef tongue and more flavors of empanada. read more

I gave this restaurant a one star rating due to their business ethics and poor service. This is a shame because I thought that their food was rather good. My check came to $17.17 and I rounded the check to an even $20.00 to include a tip. After returning home, my credit card statement showed an additional .17 cents charged.($20.17) I am certainly not complaining about the amount, but rather the principle. A thief is a thief. (In this case "Ladrones Sucios") Well, at least I don't have to re-mortgage my home, but if they do this to every customer, there's going to be a nice chunk of change when it all adds up. Additionally, there was only one member of staff who you barely saw. If you needed anything else, you either had to go to the front of the restaurant to get his attention or wait 20 minutes until he decides to show up. The restaurant was totally empty when I dined there, I think I know why. What a shame, the food was good but was marred by my experience. read more

New favorite. I lived in Argentina for 2 years and since I've been back I've been on a constant search for authentic Argentine food and the Argentine Corner delivered. Something that I found awesome is the level to which this establishment hit on the authenticity scale. Not just the food but the entire atmosphere was on par. The venue isn't the most appealing from the outside but the inside was nice. I appreciated the selection of imported Argentine treats and customary Mate (cultural Argentine tea drink). The food was fantastic I got the Milanesa (one of my favorite Argentine dishes) and it was perfect. The empanadas were also spot on, we even got a dozen to take home. I'm not sure if this place is for everyone. I'm very used to how things are in Argentina. So if you want a cultural adventure with some awesomely authentic food here's your place read more

This is authentic argentine food. If you have spent ime in Argentina, this will make you feel li,e you are back, but without the expensive plane ticket. The empanadas are awesome. They are great to go as well. The also have a ton of argentine products you can buy to take home. On Saturdays, the make Facturas (pastries) that are amazing. read more

We visited this location when an Argentinian friend came to visit. I enjoyed that it is a small business, it's always nice to visit and help out a local family rather than a large company. I got basically a meat platter and it wasn't bad, the chicken was to die for, but I didn't care much for the ribs. They really are not too busy of a place, but it seems like they are holding their own. They could use a bit of an update to the flooring and tables, but that's not a reason to not return. read more

Really enjoyed everything! We had a large group so we got deep into the menu. *Service was excellent. (this is hard work, don't be a tightwad...smh) *Decor is kitchy cool, not upscale. (I'm good with a picnic table if the food is good) *Menu - Awesome sauce! great variety, push your zone and try something, it's all excellent. (Anchovy pizza rocks hard as does the ham & pineapple appiteaser) *Cost - Portions are good to excellent for cost. Food quality excellent. Will most definitely be back on a regular basis. (I reserve 5 stars for "best ever scenarios") read more

Don't be scared off by this place's location! Definitely fits the mold of "hole in the wall", but my wife and I were looking for a place to eat after flying into SLC on our way up to Yellowstone and saw the reviews, we just had to give it a try. The menu is very plain and only has a few options, but everything we had was great. There was just the owner there working when we stopped by on a Thursday afternoon for lunch, he seated us, took our orders, and cooked everything for us as well. We each tried three different empenadas and had a side salad. The salad was just some lettuce, tomatoes, and onions, covered in some oil and vinegar, but damn it sure was tasty! You also get a loaf of bread with your order, which was fantastic on it's own, but dipping it in the oil and vinegar at the bottom of our salads made it all the better. The empenadas were all hand made and the outside crust was light and flaky, cooked just right! If I had to rank the ones we tried I'd say the top three were, 1. Ham and Cheese, 2. Onion and cheese, and 3.Humita, which is corn and cheese. read more

In a place like Ogden, where I grew up, a place this great is a real gem. I now live in Massachusetts and the food there is very diverse. The owner is so wonderful, plus the staff. Don't drive by. Stop! Music as you walk in, outside seating. Nice inside, plenty of parking. read more

I went here with a friend who recommended the place. I've never been to Argentina, but the look and the feel of the restaurant made me feel like I was there. This was my first time trying Argentine food so I wasn't quite sure what to order. I ended up ordering the beef Milanesa. In hindsight I should have ordered the chicken milanesa. To start off, I really liked the homemade bread. I thought that was the best part of the sandwich. However, the meat was dry and wasn't very good. The meat was basically beef jerky that was breaded and then fried... not my favorite. One friend, who came with me, had just a couple bites and was done. I'm sure this place has really good food, but unfortunately I didn't try it this time. I'm willing to give this place another try though. Supposedly they have really good pizza and ribs. read more

Lucky to find an Argentine place close by while I was visiting. Empanadas were amazing as well as the flan! Great food!!!

I have eaten here several times and have loved it every time. The appetizer is a wonderful Russian potato salad and beef tongue with tasty homemade dressing which is great for dipping their fresh baked bread in. (You can buy a bottle of the dressing to go.) I have tried the Milanesa, but it wasn't great; I've had better in Mexico. What I love there, and have had every time I've gone, are the empanadas. There are around 10 kinds and I love them all! read more

Very disappointed. There was only one server who was the cook and the cashier as well. I feel bad for her because she had to take care of everything and it was definitely not her fault that no other staff has been hired. I ordered a Milanese and it wasn't fresh at all, in fact I could still taste a frozen bit in it. The empanadas were ok, nothing spectacular and the chimichurri was missing in the Choripan we ordered, but again the poor girl was just too overwhelmed to remember the chimichurri or the drinks we ordered. There was no lighting in the restaurant at all, and I mean no lights were turned on even though there were a ton of lightbulbs everywhere. And on top of that there was no A/C and no ice with the drinks. I will not be going back to this restaurant. read more

The empanadas are killer, but everything else here was okay at best, and the service is always absurdly slow (even when you're the only customer there). Like, an hour wait for your food. read more

Good place, I am convince that it is probably the hardest food to duplicate outside of its native country. Great food! I like Argentinian food and here in Utah is very difficult to find authentic argentinian food. The service is a little slow but Jose will make you feel like you are at home. The empanadas are great for starters, try the Humita or the sweet onion & cheese. Overall this is a great place to stop for dinner and support the small business in the community. read more

Prices are good; food is good. But this place is weird. We got there at 11:45 for lunch, and the place looked deserted. Plus, there were no lights on in the place, and the air conditioning was either off or not working. The service was mediocre; there was only one server, and she may have been the cook as well...we didn't see anybody else. When we went outside, with temps in the low 80s, it was cooler outside than it had been inside. Maybe we went on a very off day, but I don't expect to be back. read more

Very dissapointed, had a bad experience last night, from the karaoke night they have to the bland and tasteless beef in the empanadas, which by the way are so small now, unfortunately that's all I've eaten so far, haven't been able to even keep water down, it was a good place, my wife and I loved it, sadly it's a no go anymore read more

Delicious empanadas! I came here for lunch on a Monday. There was a couple already there when I arrived. I was pretty hesitant to come due to several negative reviews. But, I'm SO glad I did. I did come with enough time just in case it took a while. I ordered 4 empanadas. 2 ham and cheese, 1 beef, and 1 humita. OMG. They were all so delicious. The crust was the perfect flakiness and the filling was perfect. I also ordered chimichurri to go with it. It was so fresh and flavorful. A great complement. I had Brazilian guarana to drink. On my way out I grabbed a package of Rumba cookies. Yum! I can understand how this could take a while on a busy day since it was just one cook and the food is fresh. It would be worth the wait. Just have a little patience read more
