Great neighborhood business! They helped me replace a broken key that I thought was unsalvageable.

They can make car keys that have the computer chip in them for $65 instead $300 at the dealership.

Tim Burdick showed up right on time and quickly showed me that my "broken" lock was just user error.

I wondered if the quality of the key fobs the mobile services used were just cheap so I wanted to go to a physical store. I called a few companies but they all just seemed to be dispatchers for mobile independent contractors. Seattle Locksmith seemed to have a physical location so I called them, the man was perfectly nice but said they only do mobile right now and as he's busy he's be subcontracting it out. The quotes I'd gotten from other places were $160. This guy showed up in about 45mins but struggled to get the new fob to work so it took quite a while. He then charged me $250!! Daylight robbery! But the work was already done so I was screwed. My recommendation is really do your research and AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!

BUYER BEWARE!! Short…read moreversion - Types of services available and fees for those services were inconsistent between dispatcher and technician. Technician was agitated on arrival. Do not recommend. Long version - My partner and I needed rekeying services and installation of an electronic key system that we purchased. We called around to several businesses, most of which could only provide one of the two services. We settled on this one because they claimed to be able to provide what we needed at a competitive rate and had next day availability. The dispatcher scheduled us for 3 pm the next day. A little over an hour before the appointment, my partner and I each received 3 calls back-to-back. I was on a work call and my partner was driving. Once I was off the call, I gave a call back, no more than 10 minutes after their initial call. No answer. I try again and again, no answer. We call the dispatcher, who says that they are unable to make it that day. We brushed it off. Fine. Life happens. The next day, my partner planned to be at home and ready for phone calls. I had an appointment, but they called me while I was on the road. Not wanting to miss our opportunity again, I pick up. I confirm with the technician that he's able to provide the services that we discussed with the dispatcher. He says fine and agrees to be at our home at the new scheduled time. I was still out when upon the technician's arrival, but my partner described the interaction as horribly unpleasant. He said that the technician's greeting was to huffily ask if someone needed a locksmith. When I arrived, he had the same attitude. People can have bad days, so fine, as long as he can do what we needed. Unfortunately, I noticed that he was removing our locks. I asked him about this, since we had asked for rekeying services and he claimed that rekeying was not possible. I explained that we specifically wanted someone to help us rekey these locks, so if he couldn't do it, we'll have to get someone else to do it. He started to get more agitated, speaking in a threatening manner. At that point, we were defeated and just wanted to get this guy out of our house as soon as possible. I told him that we would pay him for the service charge (honestly, we had every intention of paying the guy for coming out anyway), but he will need to put our locks back on. He made a 180 with his demeanor and suddenly was very patient with a calm tone, so different from his arrival and behavior throughout. So he wasn't just having a "bad day" as we had suspected. And the cherry on top - his service charge was not only well above the amount that the dispatcher quoted us, but also higher than any of the quotes we received from other locksmiths. Unless you want to work with a business tries to provide you with a service that you don't need and uses intimidation to get your money, I highly, HIGHLY recommend looking elsewhere.

Peter was fantastic. He is trustworthy and responsive. He came out the same day and gave us 2 options, one that uses the coax wires as a network line that saved us tens of thousand dollars of cabling and wires, and another estimate from their installer that includes new Cat6e wires. The estimates are both almost half price than the quotes we got from 3 other big companies. After asking from the neighboring facilities, we found out they've done a lot of this old warehouses and have the knowledge, expertise and highly recommended. They planned out the location of each camera and relocate some to have a face recognizable images even wearing hats, or hood and read license plates as they come and go to our driveway. They took a lot of care to make sure the wire runs were perfectly, hidden and on conduit for outdoor cameras. There are zero wires visible. They far exceeded my expectations. The camera system is really nice, very crisp, clear video and the installation is perfect by the third party installer. The interface is so self-explanatory and easy to use.

Of course I was given the wrong number which was also the wrong state. A quick search gave me the actual corporate headquarters office in Florida. Called the phone and got myself in the right queue. The call was answered by lady in help center support--customer relations. What does it say about any U.S. based company that they only way to get real customer service IS TO CALL THE US-BASED CUSTOMER RELATIONS DEPARTMENT? A very sad commentary on how low these companies place quality customer service below profits. But the lady did expedite the return of the long lost install tech who finished the job the following week. And thanks to her I got a call from an extremely friendly and helpful tech support guy named Anthony who walked me through the basic features and use of our new security system even though we were over an hour on the phone. Anthony requested that I fill out the survey on him which I'd get after our phone call. Still waiting, Anthony. I mentioned the missing survey to customer relations lady and got no response. But she did make two follow up calls to verify that both tech support and the equipment install had been done. That was nice. So if you're reading this review, Anthony, I'd give ADT five stars if all its customer service staff provided your high caliber of service and were all worked out of offices located onshore.

He subsequently terminated his relationship with the subcontractor who performed my service and refunded a fair portion of the fee. . . I understand mistakes happen and was impressed with how quickly and professionally he handled the problem. Accordingly, I'm happy to adjust my review to 5-stars and will reach out to Jacobson the next time I need a locksmith. Thanks for making things right, Dave!) I wasn't is any hurry, but was initially pleased when they told me they could complete my job right away. Their policy is to charge $29 just to show up, then they will quote you the job. I drove across town to the house where I needed a simple 5-pin handle lock picked (the owner, my client, had left town and forgot to leave the handle unlocked; the deadbolt has a separate key). The locksmith was 25 minutes late. He inspected the lock and told me it would cost $165 to pick it. As a Realtor, I've needed locksmiths on numerous occasions. I know how fast a lock can be picked and how much it should cost. (I've had 3 doors rekeyed before for less than $140 TOTAL). I told him I'd give him the $29 and he could just go away. He got on the phone with his boss, who authorized him to charge me ONLY $100. . . I said, "fine. do it." Two minutes later the lock was picked, I paid him, and that was that. Would I pay $165 for an emergency locksmith to open a door for me on short notice, at night, on a weekend, or a holiday? Absolutely. But to even attempt to charge $165 for a non-urgent job in the middle of the day on a weekday (and show up 25 minutes late for an appointment that was booked in advance) is ridiculous. Won't be using Jacobson again.
