I asked for a quote but was never given one but needed a deadbolt installed. The service was not good. The tech did not have the right tools to install on our metal door. The deadbolt barely Inserts in the door, and they left material and a nail in the hole for the bolt. At the end after having not given a quote I was told that the substandard job would be 499. Twice the other companies baseline quotes I've received so far. Ask for a quote upfront, the tech immediately will try to work, ask for a quote though. The deadbolt plate sticks out because its a metal door and they did not have the tools for it. Edit: Got in contact with the manager and a new tech came out. In order to get the job done I had to go pick up a precision nail puller. Pulled the nail out and the tech replaced the deadbolt to fix the plate issues. Hard to do business with. They participate in Yelp quotes but only want to get your number to call you, despite providing them all information needed for a quote. When pressed, they only provide a "starting price." I would not recommend them. EDIT: Responding to the business and dropping to 1 star due to this horrendous interaction. 1.) "Mr. Landon, your overall experience with us was over 4 messages via Yelp, how come you decided to "not recommend us"?" Because of this horrible interaction. 2.) "based on the fact that you refused to provide your phone number or Zipcode and try to get a FIRM price on something that nobody saw? - You don't need a phone number to provide a quote. If you needed more information, you could have asked. - Zip code was provided in the original request that Yelp sent you, and I even reminded you of that in my first response. You don't need my exact address for a quote. - I did not ask you for a FIRM price, but a quote. Also known as an estimate. A "starting price" is not a quote. - Yelp reached out to you and three others for quotes, the other three of which provided quotes. So it could be done, but you for some reason wanted my phone number and address, then to call me. You refused to put things in writing. This is a huge red flag. 3.) "Our office did excellent work, instead of giving you false information with pricing, they just provided you a starting price and FREE on-site estimate to give an accurate price once the technician will inspect the problem." You were asked to provide a quote, not a committed price. You also did not offer any sort of on-site estimate. 4.) This company attempts to hide their poor customer service by offering refunds to customers who had bad experiences if they agree to remove their negative reviews from Yelp! I'm pretty sure this violates Yelps policies... Then to respond to my review saying that 90% of what was in my review was false only makes you look worse and prompted me to post the text messages from Hector who tried to get me to remove my review in return for the refund I should have already been given. I called the main office multiple times over a 1 hour period while the tech was still here doing nothing! I was told multiple times that a manager would call me back and supposedly a "manager" did call me back and offered me less than a 50% refund. After several minutes of debating I was told 50% was the best the "manager" could do. It wasn't until I posted my 1 star review that I finally received a text from Hector offering a full refund if I removed the review. In the end I completed the work to program the keys myself with help from a couple of YouTube videos that the tech could have watched during the hour he sat doing nothing waiting for a manager to call me back. It makes no sense that a professional locksmith couldn't figure out how to do something that I found on YouTube that solved the problem instantly!!! Previous: 3 Stars Decent but can be better. I wanted to get add locks to 3 of my home's doors. They got the job done very quickly but unfortunately not very high quality work. Also got the wrong color for the locks (satin nickel instead of polished chrome). Technician said they sent me images beforehand but to be honest I didn't think I was supposed to verify the box of the locks they were purchasing. Called on a Sunday, chenge 3 locks in the home so they are all on the same key. Locksmith said all 3 locks would need to be replaced. An hour later all was done and it only cost me $643.86. Later that day I lost the keys to my 2002 Ford F-150. They sent out a locksmith and I was only charge $361.00 for them to make me a new key. Elite Locksmiths when money is no object. After posting this review I was contacted by Elite Locksmiths. They wanted to know what could be done to change my review to 5 stars and even offered me $150.00 to change my rating. I told them I wouldn't do it for less than half of what I paid. The reality is that contacting someone who posted on your business and offering them money to change their rating is against Yelp's terms of service. Lost my FOB for my car, called at 4pm they got here earlier than when I was told to expect them. They said might be here by 7 but got her closer to 6. (awesome very fast) they charge as much for one replacement keyfob as the dealer charges for two, told me mine was a very difficult FOB, and the three dealerships I called all told me that fortunately, mine was a very simple FOB. I guess he said this to try and justify the nearly $500 dollar charge. BUT you sometimes have to choose to get it done fast or get it done for a reasonable price. They were expensive but I got my replacement keyfob in three hours and I didn't have to tow my car to the dealership, so I gave them a decent three-star review. Why not four? well, i know how much he paid for OEM parts and he was on my premises for 20 minutes so I still feel fleeced. Also, dude never put down his phone and tried to mislead me. Ben removed old lock & installed with new Yale smart lock (we purchased from Costco). We couldn't have done it without him as new smart lock required additional sawing to fit properly. tl;dr - If you have a newer car, or a house lock that needs fixin, these guys should have you covered, at a slightly higher cost than other places. But if you have an older vehicle, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. I paid 225 for a subpar solution, TA Locksmith offered 125 instead, take that how you will. For me, I will probably head to TA Locksmith to give me a better fix than what I got from Elite Locksmith later on. I got my main goal done, which was to be able to lock my hatch in a cheaper way than buying a new lock three times its worth. I have a '74 260z, so it was hard to even find a replacement lock, let alone a cheap one. The locksmith himself was super laid back, and he clearly knew what he was doing. My biggest gripe was him rough handling the lock, but I don't see any notable damage, so I'm letting it slide. I found his solution unfavorable. I appreciate that he made the best choice of actually giving me a workable temporary lock, especially when he or any locksmith in the area does not have the proper consumables to rekey my lock. But to only have 2 of the 6 wafers in the lock, does not leave me feeling very secure. While I know you can break a window or drill the lock if you're desperate enough to steal it, I feel 2 wafers is a lot easier to pick than 6. But I guess people who try won't know. And again, this was meant to be a cheaper temporary fix for now, get it done proper later... Overall, I'm happy the locksmith was laid back and cool, and that the lock now locks and unlocks. But for how much I paid, this service is not one I would go back to. I wish the confidence they had shown in solving my problems was actually palpable in reality. Again, I have an old car, with out of date consumables, but, I wish they had told me that prior they don't have the right things for an older vehicle. I feel kind of scammed that I never got an estimate, and pretty much had to pay for the service regardless, since the locksmith showed up. Oh well, cheaper than trying to find a new lock, but I plan to look for a different locksmith to give me that proper fix when the budget allows. read more

He said he didn't do anything but he did -- he drilled the hole larger for the deadbolt (so it wouldn't keep sticking) AND he securely tightened the door handle so that it won't fall off anymore. read more

Jesse arrived upbeat and loaded with the proper tools. Her task was to fix an 80+ year old mortice lock that died. She looked for alternatives that were made this century. But then she took the time to perform surgery on the box and give it new life. Saved big bucks. Works like butter now! Jesse then returned later to replace a door handle with a good Schlage unit that solves the problem of all doors being on the same key. Magic! Called Monday for our AirBnB rental while we were out of town- I appreciated that they were able to come out to the property promptly the next morning. They were not able to fix the lock, so they took it with them to find a replacement. Mario, my tech, was a poor communicator - it took him a half dozen calls to establish what seemed like we could have gotten done in a single call, which was frustrating as I was traveling on vacation with family and had to constantly step outside to try to work with Mario. Eventually he told me the replacement could be installed "Thursday or Friday" and that he'd call me back in 2 hours to take a deposit. I never got a call back, and texted Mario once and called 4 times later that week, no response. Turns out Mario was out from work and no one followed up on his behalf - after my rental house was unlocked for 5 days I was able to get a hold of Gerry from the company's direct line, who apologized and returned the lock so I could have another locksmith attempt to fix it. The lock appears to have a piece missing - not sure if the piece broke and fell out or what happened there, we're still working on a fix. The locksmith service was ok, it was an old lock so I wasn't surprised that they were unable to find a fitting replacement. The bigger problem was the communication - scattered, lots of crossed wires, and way too many cooks in the kitchen. In one case two different reps from the company called and texting me saying in the same hour saying two different things. Seems like they'd be great for a "one and done" job but I found the week long back-and-forth process on this more complicated replacement taxing. 3 stars though as they worked with me the whole way and did their best to make things right, which I appreciated. read more
