Faced with having to move our student child from one apartment to another, this time with furniture, not to mention more amassed belongings, we knew that this was not something that we could do on our own - especially because we live multiple provinces away. After having researched many movers in the Vancouver area, we reached out to BungoBox. One of their friendly professionals immediately reached out and walked us through all of the details - with no pressure to commit. We valued their advice greatly as we have never had to book movers before, let alone from a such a long distance away. One thing we highly recommend, is to add-on BungoBox's rental containers. For us it was a set of 23 large, 2 extra large, and one dolly - along with some extra wrapping paper and a mattress protector. These items were indispensable and made packing, and moving, a breeze. As arranged, they were delivered early in the day, two days prior to the move. Move day couldn't have been more relaxed! The BungoBox team of two arrived right on time, wrapped all the furniture in blankets, and ensured everything was secured inside the truck. I will admit, I was anxious about where they would park as the two buildings did not have loading areas and the receiving end was located in a very busy part of the university. The lead mover reassured me that this was not a concern, they deal with this all the time. Sure enough, they arrived at the new apartment, parked the moving truck like the pros they are, and delivered all of our child's belongs without a single scratch! The moving containers were a 7 day rental, so we took some time over the next day or two unpacking, then simply let BungoBox know and the boxes were quickly picked up again. We are happy to say that we would not hesitate in recommending BungoBox to anyone moving in and around Vancouver. Their service is friendly and very professional. They are well worth the money and lifted a huge weight off of our shoulders. read more

This was the first time I used a moving service and also rented reusable boxes. The whole move was a breeze (as much as any move can be) from start to finish. This was a very last-minute move but they were able to schedule us in quickly, were super responsive, and very accommodating of our schedules. The boxes were absolutely a godsend. We had bungobox movers do the bulk of the move but we continued to use and re-use the boxes afterwards to cart the rest of our junk over bit by bit. They loaded into the car easier than standard boxes, the cart that comes with them makes them very easy to roll around even fully packed with heavy items, they stood up to a lot more punishment than cardboard ever would, and they were generally just easier to pick up and move around because of the handles and lids. Of course being environmentally friendly is a huge bonus as well. As for the move itself, I can honestly say I'd never do it myself ever again. The movers were on time, professional, friendly, and SO FAST. They're definitely pros. They took great care to wrap and/or tape up all my furniture and even my many awkward glass-top tables. I don't think a single item was damaged or broken. If I could give bungobox more stars I would. read more

BBX Moving - Even my box-connoisseur cats were impressed. - Movers Near Me - Richmond, British Columbia

Bungobox box rental and moving review: Very disappointed with our most recent experience with Bungobox. We had used their box rental services for 2 of our previous moves with no issue. Our recent move, we decided to go with their moving services as well. The move experience was poor - one of the movers was on his first day of the job and it was obvious. Items were damaged and a promised discount prior to service was never given. Post-move, Irvin reassured us that they'll follow up with the damages and fix them as that's what distinguishes them from other moving companies. I outlined the damages and followed up over weeks but did not hear back. The moving services were contracted out which could explain the poor experience but the post-move communication was extremely disappointing and inexcusable. I will not be using nor recommending by Bungobox services again. read more

Chai and his team are AMAZING! I recently had to move our home and home office by myself, and all I can say is, the BungoBox team made one of the most unpleasant experiences as stress free, quick and painless as a move can be. I was looking for a full move solution and Chai has partner with great businesses that take all the stress out of moving. He recommended Vancouver In The Box to do the packing, his team to deliver the boxes, execute the move and installation/hanging of pictures etc, and 505-Junk for disposal of items that were to go to charities, recycling and garbage. Started at 8am on Thursday, all moved in by 5:15pm. Friday, the unpacking team arrived at 9am, finished with boxes/wrapping paper all picked up by 2pm. Some reorganization thru the day and the new place was good to have people over on Sat. The BungoBox team was professional, efficient, on time, skilled to ensure zero damage to items and space. I can't recommend them enough!!! read more

We used Bungobox for two of us and our in home office - our movers loved the wheelies, which cut the move time by more than one hour. The boxes and wardrobes arrived clean and in good condition. The day of the move, we put all of our clothes into the wardrobes, and easily unpacked our clothing at our new home. I've recommended Bungobox to friends and neighbours! read more

WARNING: IF YOU ARE A YOUNG FEMALE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The movers were two hours late and they screamed at me 2 inches away from my face and tried to get me to go into a back alley in Chinatown with them alone. They also overcharged me and broke some of my most valuable items. On top of all this they left broken glass around and my cat stepped in it and had to get emergency surgery. I called to talk to the head office and told them what happened and they never even responded back to me. I had never felt so unsafe and scared in my entire life. Please don't use this company they are dangerous. Also please take a look at how defensive they were in this reply. And they shared the cross streets of my building with the public so that's super unprofessional. I never heard back from these people. And my building manager witnessed one of your movers screaming at me. The Better Business Bureau has been contacted. read more

I had terrible experience with them! They were late 20 minutes even I booked and paid for the elevator which suppose to start by 9:00 morning and they never apologized! Conversation was tough with them as they didn't understand very well what I'm saying! They broke several items and glasses us they put the boxes upside down even it marked and wrote on all of them. They said they were in hurry and forced me to sign on the paperwork quickly I didn't have enough time to look everything over. Later I called them to explain how the moving went but they said too bad cause you already signed the paperwork and they charged me full amount. Terrible experience I ever had as they never discounted and I lost my deposit for the elevator. Unprofessional and absolutely not reliable. read more

Ordered some Bungoboxes recently for my move. Service was really good, reasonable and pleasant. They were also really reliable in terms of the actual dropping off the boxes before the move, and picking up of the boxes after my move. What I really appreciated too was their weekly phone calls asking if I had finished with the boxes after I had moved. It really helped keep me on track to finish moving! I thought the prices were very reasonable too when compared to other services of the same nature. The boxes that were supplied to me were clean, and easy to use. It was great that I didn't have to tape the boxes up too. Packing was made that much easier, and I think anyone that's moved would appreciate if packing up your stuff is made just a little easier! Would I recommend this service to anyone moving? If you want to avoid the hassle of finding boxes and be environmentally friendly at the same time, without a doubt I would recommend Bungobox anytime. This company truly offers a great service at reasonable prices. Thanks Bungobox for helping make my move less painful! read more

Do NOT, I repeat do not give this company your credit card. They will charge you 9 months later for someone else's invoices! I approached them about it and they would not refund me because I happened to work for the same company as the person who did place the order and they have been unsuccessful in collecting the funds from them. read more

Best thing I've done for a house move ever! Right from my call to the day the boxes were picked up, the company handled my inquiries, my panicked call to extend the time to unpack (they did so with no question!) with a smile! The boxes make a move less stressful in the lead up - no need to scrounge for used boxes, saving time. No need to buy cardboard or plastic boxes, saving you money and the environment. I wholeheartedly believe this is the best way to pack your stuff! Thanks team! read more

A job well done! What I liked the most about them is that they solved multiple issues I had: I needed the boxes, the moving, and the storage. Also, the customer service was excellent - they even put an extra effort into learning how to pronounce my name correctly; I appreciate that. It's not the most cheapest service for sure, but its a good value for the money. I will contact them for my next move for sure. read more

We found BungoBoxes randomly one day when their truck was on the road. I looked them up, knowing we'd be moving soon and boy am I glad I did. We rented a one bedroom set of boxes and they pretty much fit our entire 3 bedroom suite. When I called back to request the boxes a week longer, they had no problem extending it and only added an additional $20. Can't beat that! Perfect for moving in the rain. I was also asked if we were using their moving services which I had not idea they supplied. On our moving day, three guys promptly arrived and took care of EVERYTHING. $135 / hour, a huge truck, and 8 hours later we moved everything and had little to no stress. They even took apart and put back together our bed and sons crib. No damage and they are probably put back together better than before. Don't think twice, hire these guys. Quality movers, quality product, and all around prompt and courteous workers. read more

Bungo Boxes are just amazing. They will cut down your pack time by 90 percent. Also we hired them to do our 1 bedroom move. DARREN AND RAAD were fantastic. Showed up on time, moved fast, totally reliable, and professional. A lot of moving companies hire "day labours' or just sketchy guys on the end of month moving dates - it was Not the case with B.Box company. Both guys were well-spoken and "put-together'well" - I trusted them with my stuff. They even picked up our new furniture from a moving store, (which screwed us over on not-so-free delivery). So B. Box totally saved us by moving all of our stuff and getting our new items as well! Thanks a lot! read more

BungoBox worked great for our move. The boxes were in good condition, clean, and we had the right variety for our move. I'm glad they mentioned some tips about how to construct the wardrobe box and make it stable. One of the benefits of using BungoBoxes (or similar services): you are pretty much forced to unpack everything as soon as possible. read more

BungoBox helped simplify my move. I ordered the one bedroom apartment package (which came with around 25 boxes) and some packing paper. I scheduled my delivery and pick up times at a convenient time for me after work, and I had the boxes for a week. Viktor was great about rescheduling my order a day earlier and the BungoBox staff I interacted with were friendly and informative. In particular, the guy who dropped off my boxes gave me a lot of packing advice to help reduce injury/strain for me and my movers! I also appreciated that he removed his shoes when he came into my apartment. I would definitely recommend booking with BungoBox to give yourself one less worry when planning your next move. Spend the money to save yourself the trouble of finding boxes and hoping they don't fall apart! read more

I used BungoBox when I moved to new house. Their boxes were very useful, and their service was outstanding!! I packed from kitchen appliances, computers, books, clothes...everything nicely fit into different size of boxes. Also, good about boxes are that they are made by plastic, so easy to pack, stack and roll the boxes. It really saved my time and energy. I recommend BungoBox to everyone. Thanks, BungoBox!! read more

I have to agree with all the positive things people are saying about Bungobox Vancouver and Chai. Helpful, punctual, flexible. Made my move easy and I was called into work during the original pickup time and Chai come the next day at no extra charge. I would definitely recommend Bungo box to anyone. It's less expensive than FrogBox, the totes are larger, and you get an extra day (I got 2). read more

I used Bungobox to help me move from Vancouver to Coquitlam, I was worry about my move that way couldn't catch a moving company on web as I had a lot of heavy expensive furniture many of them contained sensitive glasses, my best friend recommended me to use Bungobox as they did a good job for him last month then I chose them, they sent a perfect size truck which was 5 tone truck with a lot of four wheeler dollies with all necessary tools and screen carts, they wrapped most of my stuff properly with blanket and shrink plastic wrap, they used special plastic to protect my mattresses not to get dirty, they disassemble all the beds, tables, and reassemble them properly ,they were really quick and super careful, I don't believe my eyes that can't see even a bit scratch in my furniture or my place. I'm definitely recommend these strong guys and I appreciate Chai for the great service that he was providing read more

Super happy with the service and convenience BungoBox provided! They dropped off bins the week before our move, then picked them up the week after. On weekends too, no less. Danny is the man! You'd be hard pressed to find better service in a moving company. read more

I had originally called just to rent boxes, but when they came by to assess the stuff to pack, they said they were a specialized moving company so I went and did the whole package with them. I think they maybe overestimated our belongings, as we didn't end up using all the boxes, but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. I rented them for a week, and they arranging an early pick up was very easy. The boxes themselves are great and while it is a bit pricey, the time I saved not having to build boxes or worrying about how dispose the boxes was well worth it for me. I kind of assumed that the movers would be from Bungo Box, and not contracted out, as they said they were "a specialized moving company", but it doesn't really matter. What matters is that I moved during the snowstorm and I had -12381278391 expectations. Fortunately, Shaun, Keefer and Keith were amazing. Not a single thing broke, no walls/floors scratched, and it was all done quickly and efficiently. IN THE SNOW. THAT NEVER LET UP. THE ENTIRE DAY. The boxes were also fantastic in the snow. If you're moving and need boxes, call Bungo Box. Also, ask for Shaun, Keefer and Keith to do your move. Couldn't have asked for a more helpful team. read more

These guys are great!! Peace of mind, easy, quick, timely, cost less than the others and their friendly staff made everything about our move that much more convenient! Website had a bit of a bug but just call their office and take it from there, much quicker in my opinion. It was winter, cold and wet and we were short on time between places, and these Bungo Boxes, being stackable, gave us so much flexibility to move our stuff in/out/around...unpacking was a breeze, it just made the entire experience that much more effortless. If you are thinking cardboard boxes, Frogbox (or the likes) or Bungo, just pick Bungo, its a no brainer. It's simply the smarter and better way of moving. read more

Top notch!!! Ordered the 2 bedroom online for my 1 bedroom place. I put everything possible in these boxes: clothing, lamps, kitchen items, sports equipment, books, etc. This made it soooooooooooooooooooooo much easier for the movers to pack up the boxes and load the truck. In fact, it saved me 2 hours of moving time!! Super friendly service. Easy drop-off and pickup. Honestly these guys should have way more reviews. SOOOOOO AWESOME! read more

Terrible service. They make the customer pay for their mistakes. Slow and uncoordinated. Bunch of liars. They even took away my tools and didn't return them until after my lawyer sent a letter. The overcharges to date have not been refunded yet. The Business Better Bureau has been notified. Responding to Bungo's response: Like I said previously, you are a bunch of Liars!!! Tell me, what color does your face turn when not a single thing you say is truth? Poor pathetic you! I only feel sorry for the next one you're going to do this to. There is a place for people like you and I hope you go there. read more

Awesome concept and even better customer service! I contacted them for a super last minute move and was surprised how efficient everything was. The boxes were dropped off right at my door. I agree with all the reviews here - the boxes were clean, durable and the various sizes was key. Their perfect fit dolly also contributed to an easy move. and OMG BungoWardrobe. EVERYONE NEEDS THIS. This goldmine saved me sooo much time in my move. I just threw everything on a hanger onto this and bam - done. Light and easy to move. I'm moving again next September, and will definitely be using these guys again! read more

BungoBox helped my move like I could not believe. They were quick and efficient. The sales rep name was Chai, he was warm helpful and very hands on. Sometimes I pause and consider how lucky our generation is to have certain quality of life services like BungoBox. I remember how my parents had to fight over the local grocery store's cardboard, and it was all different shapes and sometimes smelled really bad, yuck. And then getting rid of all that cardboard was a pain too! But no longer! BungoBoxes are affordable, sturdy, and efficient to move. They are super great about letting you know when they are coming to drop off, and it takes no time at all for them to unload. It makes packing so much easier as well and the pick up was the same great service! I will never use cardboard again! read more

Highly recommend! Yet again BungoBox were great. The move was easy and thanks to BungoBox quick. I know I saved money with the movers. The boxes are stackable so movers love them :) Thanks Danny and team BB! read more

Great boxes and great service. They arrived on time and went over the order with me to make sure everything was there. The boxes are stackable and easy to carry both when they're empty and when they're full and closed. They also came with dollies, so other than stacking them on the dolly and taking them off it, there was hardly any lifting required. The package I ordered (2 bedroom) arrived with 2 dollies, which I found to be the perfect amount. Once we were done unpacking, they came and took everything away (again, arrived on the scheduled time and were very nice and friendly). I also must mention that the fact you need to return the boxes by a certain date is a great motivator to step up your unpacking game. This is something that can take weeks, sometimes months, when the boxes are yours, but when you need to return the boxes you just speed through it and get it over with. read more

I used Bungo box in my last move and they were great!! Irvin coordinated everything with me-- he was super informative and clear, went over everything with me with the movers and the bungo box rental. A few weeks before the move I requested that we push the dates back a week to help fit in with my schedule better and he didn't blink an eye, he was able to switch all three dates (box drop off, the move, and the pick up) without issue. It really saved my butt! Darren dropped off and picked up the bungo boxes and he was a trooper, we had 3 flights in the first place and 4 in the new place and he was totally great about it. Handled everything efficiently and explained how to use the wardrobe boxes so I'd understand. The moving day itself was a long one but the movers were all kind and moved as fast as they could, they were very courteous and wrapped everything for me as it turned out to be raining. Everything got here in one piece and well protected. The only hiccup was that they didn't have a credit card machine and I wasn't aware beforehand they needed cash-- but luckily I knew which box had my cheques so it wasn't an issue! I'd highly recommend bungobox, both the movers and the boxes themselves. It's nice to feel confident in the people moving your entire life! read more

We hired moving boxes from BungoBox. The whole service was fantastic. They arrived and picked up on time and were super helpful and cheerful. The boxes were clean, easy to use, and we had just the right number for a 2-bedroom apartment. They made our entire move so much easier and overall we saved money - on the day of the move our removal company were able to work faster because of how well we had packed (all because of the boxes). We would thoroughly recommend using BungoBox - cost effective, great for the environment and they make the whole move process so much easier! read more

We are more than impressed from the beginning to the end. I had an arrangement with other company in advance. But their poor professionals and no show of deliver of boxes made me no choice to cancel them. My stress level was over the roof because I only had 1 week before the move and also I got to be out of country for my work. This Bungobox coordinator Irving made sure that everything would go smooth. Then it did. They are so professional, polite and on time. Also I have to make 2 last minutes changes on the top of moving. We have to move heavy duty gun safe. He made those arranged immediately. I would highly recommend this company for boxes and also mover service as well. Thank you again all the moving crew and also Darren and Raad team. read more

We chose these guys over Frogbox for our cross-city self-move because the prices were lower and we get to keep the box for one day longer. Not having ever used Frogbox, BungoBox's major competitor, I can't make a direct comparison, but BungoBox's service left nothing wanting -- everything was on time and communication was great. The only hitch was actually signing up -- BungoBox's web site is still under development and our postal code was not yet entered into the database, so online sign-up wasn't an option. Also, their toll-free number didn't work. But calling the number listed on Google Maps (604-323-0020) got me through directly and it was very easy from there. This was our first time using these boxes, so here are a couple of things we wish we had known, to help other first-timers not make the same mistakes: - the boxes are pretty big and it is very easy to overfill them. We found that filling them 2/3 of the way was optimal. The XL box is really way too huge for anything other than pillows/comforters. - the bottoms WILL scratch, and very badly, when the boxes are full. This is to be expected, but worth repeating. Thankfully it didn't get our floors or anything like that, but one of our desks has a memento now of our move from where a box was resting on top of it in the cargo van. - the handles on the boxes are not rounded and can dig quite painfully into your fingers when loading/unloading. A pair of work gloves would save a lot of grief. Not overfilling them also helps. read more

I deal with people moving on a very regular basis. It's not my favourite and I hate the dreaded call from a friend asking for help when moving.
