First of all, the booking... Nick responded quickly to my request, sent out through Yelp, and was able to book our move at less than a day's notice. I had other offers and what made me choose them is the cheaper price due to 25% discount for Yelpers, the promised (and delivered) carefulness of the crew, the convenient combination of packing and moving services, and the many patient answers and explanations over the phone before we closed the deal. The main thing that made me think about giving 4 stars instead of 5 was that everything was set up over the phone (rather than informative and organized forms and insurance policies provided via email, for example, as in some of the other businesses). This made me feel a bit less confident that everything will be as promised. However, Nick was very patient as I mentioned and answered all my questions in detail. I must admit it's both a pro and a con, though, as it was a great advantage to have one clear rate and that I didn't need to fill in a lengthy and detailed form just to know if the movers are available tomorrow or not! Instead, my specific needs were made clear over a short phone call and I didn't have to break the expected cost into all kinds of ingredients like which floor and how many sofas, etc. About the move itself: Ryan & Sam were kind and efficient, they worked quickly, carefully, and diligently and it was a pleasure to work with them. We scheduled for 9:30 but I was told in advance to expect +/- 30 min. due to traffic. Indeed, they arrived at 9:45 and first of all gave me a form to sign for the work, stating 9:45 as the starting time. Ryan told me right when he started working that he decided to waive the cost of the packing materials etc. due to the small amount we actually needed. I asked the owners to make sure that they're employees receive the tip we included in the payment, which was by the way very transparent and very easy to make using the "Square" card reader. We were referred by a friend who has used their service and was very happy. We also had an amazing experience with I Move You. We downsized from a 4 bedroom home to a 2 bedroom apartment. But because our new place was being renovated, we needed storage for a week. Natalia from I Move You was very helpful. She said since I only needed a week of storage, they would only charge me $80 when most other storage was quoting me $250 because of one month minimum. They also provided us with complimentary moving boxes, which helped a lot and save me the money to buy cardboard boxes. The appointment was booked for 9:30am but they showed up at 9am when we weren't really ready yet. But after that, everything went very smoothly. Sam and his crew wrapped up my furniture with blankets, and cover our mattresses with large plastic bags. They worked really hard, constantly moving but were also careful with our items. The job was done under the estimate they gave me. The next day they came back and helped us to dispose all the junk we've collected over the years. I couldn't believe how much stuff we had to throw away. We also used their cleaning service as well. Jose and Maria did a fantastic job that even my realtor was surprised how clean it was. The move back was equally as good as the move out. Nothing was damaged. Remember to ask the for the wardrobe boxes, they're super convenient. I think their price is very reasonable. I had gotten a couple other estimates. One was about the same and the other one almost double. We ended up choosing I Move You because of all the extra things they provided which not only save us money but also the time to arrange for junk removal and cleaning. My friend recommended me I Move You. We were looking for packing and moving services as my husband and I were unable to lift any heavy weight. My friend told me they would provide free moving boxes which seemed to make a lot more sense than throwing away the cardboard boxes after single use. I read their review and sent them an email for estimate. Nick responded very quickly within a few hours. On the day of packing, they brought in all the boxes, and packing supplies. Sam and Ryan were wonderful. They were friendly, careful with our belongings and worked quickly to wrap our fragile items with wrapping papers and bubble wrap. They wrapped my paintings and put my mattress in a large plastic bag. They worked seamlessly without any supervision. The next day, they came early in the morning to load up our furniture and boxes. We had a large sofa and thought it was going to be a big problem as when we moved it in, but Sam and Ryan put the sofa on a blanket, pull the blanket to slide out the sofa and got it out within a few minutes. It was quite amazing. After the move, they came back to our old house and helped us dispose our junk, on the same day. We were quite amazed that they were able to do it all in one day. We booked with I Move You when we did a big move from Vancouver to Coquitlam a few months ago. they offered complimentary plastic moving boxes that we were able to use for two weeks (1 week prior to the move and another week to unpack and return the boxes). this helped us tremendously as we didn't have to hunt for used cardboard boxes at superstore/no frills or buy additional moving boxes for $2-$5 each. these boxes also stacked really well so we didn't have to worry about our items being damaged within the boxes. our movers, Sam and two other guys arrived promptly at 9:30 am and did a quick walk through around the house and then started wrapping up furniture with plastic wrap. they were really efficient and carefully wrapped up our leather sofa bed with plastic wrap and brought mattress covers for our mattresses. we also used wardrobe boxes that helped with the transfer of my husband's suits and my dresses on hangers from our closet directly into the boxes. i felt at ease with their competency and efficiency at moving that i didn't need to "babysit" them to make sure they were on task. it was easy to book with them and will definitely recommend them to friends that are moving. thanks so much! read more

We just had I MOVE YOU relocate us on a challenging move and they were AWESOME!!! Nick had come out to give us a price and as someone said in an earlier review, he did not nickel and dime us with extras. He gave us a price and he stuck with it. We've all heard the horror stories of weasel moving companies attempting to take advantage of the client but be rest assured, Nick, Natalia and crew were top shelf all the way. You could tell the movers themselves were fond of their boss and conscientious of their personal work. I Move You will be our first and only recommendation to any who ask whether we know good movers and they will be ours as well if we ever move again. Last note, although we can tell the movers were well taken care of by their employer, I would recommend that when you hire them please consider budgeting at least another 10% to be given directly to the workers upon completion as they will be very grateful and I would say they easily earned it. We decided to go with this company when we did a huge family move from Richmond to Delta, and they absolutely went above and beyond, from beginning to end! We rented bins from them, prior to our move and they were very accommodating in helping us arrange the pick-up and drop-off after the move. Not only are their prices very fair and affordable, the service and professionalism is incomparable! We also used their cleaning services for the old house we sold and they again did an impeccable job! Nick was very friendly, very helpful and extremely understanding when it came to returning the bins- he even let us keep the bins a few extra days as we had some unexpected family situation that prevented us from returning them on the day we were supposed to. Natalia from I Move You was super sweet and made the move as seamless as possible. The complimentary moving boxes were a huge plus, although be careful about sliding them as they have hard plastic bits that stick out on the bottom (not ideal for hardwood flooring-- we've unfortunately damaged our floors from them!). The movers were friendly and efficient-- the only concern with that is we were under the impression that they would arrive at 9am, and they arrived at 9:30. Regardless, they were quick, and still VERY gentle and caring with our belongings. Overall, I would highly recommend this moving service. Look no Further!!!! If you want the best mover's I have ever used, you have to use these guy's! They arrived on time, were friendly and super fast. We had contacted other company's but dealing with these guy's we knew we made the right choice. Jin in the office had a few calls from me, first I wanted 3 mover's then I went down to 2 movers then called her back a third time and got the 3 mover's again. She was polite and super accommodating, she called the day just to confirm it was a go. The guy's had all our belongings loaded and were on their way in just over 2 1/2 hours... Great service and communication. A little bit more pricier than other moving companies. We used a Groupon in addition of paying for more hours so it was worth it for us. But it did include free moving totes (and other services) for two weeks so likely the same price if just paying normal price. In regards to the move, very smooth and they worked fast. I moved a small apartment with not that many big items and it was very efficient. I wanted to put certain things in certain places in the new place and they were happy to accommodate. These people are super awesome. Not only where they the most budget friendly movers in Vancouver area, they are also the only movers who provide free moving boxes. These boxes were a huge help in the move. You can borrow boxes from them for a small deposit and have two weeks to return them. The staff is extremely friendly - which includes the movers as well as other people I was in contact with to book their services. The movers came in ahead of time, they were really fast and careful with all the items. My move (2 bedroom apartment) finished fairly quickly and nothing was damaged in the process. :) Was extremely happy with their service and I highly recommend them. read more

Great moving company and reasonable price. They were on time and worked with my changes in the service. I initially asked to move from point A to B. But I expressed a need to move a couch and tv from point C to B also. Worked out great. The best part that I needed was the free rental plastic boxes, when making a booking service they offer these these boxes for 2 weeks free. The 2 movers asked me what needed to be wrap etc. while moving. They were a huge help and did a good job (no major scratches or damages) The movers first language was Chinese, which in my case helps. Ryan and his crew were hard working and efficient. They wrapped everything that need to be protected and moved various furniture a few times to exactly where we wanted them to be. These guys were great! They were friendly, professional and very efficient! Wrapped various items and furniture to protect it, were very careful of walls and covered the stairs etc. We had over 200 boxes along with furniture and they worked so hard as they had to move a lot of it up two long flights of narrow stairways.
