Everything seems normal. The day of they are late. Cody calls at 930am saying they cant come and they have no team, asks if they can come the next day at 9. Sure. I do some juggling of tasks. Next day, NOTHING. No message, NO Call, No reaching out. GHOSTED. Still calling 2 days later and nothing. Left my family scrambling to find fine a last minute moving company that can show up same day. Thankfully we did but it ended up costing us probably an extra 300 to 500 dollars. Stay away DO NOT USE

When I was younger, I'd conscript a few friends and stuff a car beyond it's reasonable limits to save a few bucks. Ever cram a queen sized mattress into an Accord? I have. Anyways, time was of the essence for me to move out of my 2-bedroom apartment so I contacted these guys based on the Yelp reviews. Manel replied promptly and after I made my $100 deposit, we were off to the races. Moving day came and the two movers showed up with a massive truck. I'm guessing it was a 5 ton but I'm no expert but could've easily fit 3 times the contents of my condo. I guess they've probably helped a few hoarders with a move. The two guys (Jesse and I don't remember the other's name) ran 15 minutes late but called ahead to let me know. Once they got to work however, they were unstoppable. In just over an hour, they had my entire apartment in the back of the truck. (I also had packed and moved some of the smaller items already) Unloading at my new destination took a little longer due to a narrow entryway but they still navigated it like rockstars - and without any scratches. In total, the move took 4 hours. Their rate including the truck was $100/hr plus $100 delivery fee plus tax. I figure that's decent value. If I had to rent a truck and coerce some friends, it'd have taken me 3 times longer and I'd probably have to buy them dinner.

They wrapped the whole move in exactly 3 hours, just as quoted, even though I padded an extra hour thinking "no way they'll nail it." And the cherry on top? It never crossed their minds, that blocking this communal driveway might be an inconvenience to the people who use it. How can a moving company arrive at a job underprepared, then bill the customer for procuring the very supplies they should have initially provided? Furthermore, we were charged by the hour for the two employees who went hunting for supplies. While two movers went supply hunting, and little to nothing was being done in our home, we were charged an hourly rate for 3 movers, because the moving company failed to bring necessary supplies, and by "supplies" I don't just mean boxes. I'm talking about the scissors, tape, tools, dolly, etc. We had been pleading with them for weeks to provide us with a detailed receipt because the charges for supplies were so inflated that we suspected an error. It required our assistant doggedly pursuing them day after day before they finally furnished us with an itemized receipt. This is not an honest company. It is poorly run, with poor leadership. If Yelp allows it, I am going to attach a copy of the invoice so everyone is able to take a look at exactly what this moving company sent us, the inaccuracies and inflated charges. This was for a 1 bedroom and den move of a relatively short distance, but it was important to me to have a professional crew handle all the furniture and maximize elevator booking times on both sides. I had pre-boxed everything myself in separate rental re-usable bins, including renting a spare dolly from the box company. The crew arrived almost an hour late, despite it being a booking first thing in the morning. However, the two crew who arrived seemed great and got right to work. Things started well, however less than an hour in, the lead crew member got a call and had to leave to go back to the warehouse. While they eventually sent two replacement crew, neither of them seemed to have moving experience, were not efficient and did not take much care with furniture or other items. In the end, the move took far longer than estimated or than it should've (6 hrs, not including travel time). The crew spent a lot of time standing around, to the point where I started moving items myself to the elevator and eventually to the truck as well. To cap it off, they broke the leg off a piece of furniture by carrying it incorrectly, and also took the dolly I had rented separately - refusing to acknowledge such or return it. While they did eventually offer a small credit for the damaged item, I still ended up paying significantly more than was estimated initially and had to pay the box rental company for the missing dolly. Next time I will just rent a U-Haul myself, since it will take less time, cost significantly less, and save me the frustration of watching people stand around while I'm being charged for their time.
