So I had to break down and buy boxes along with other packing supplies. I found Allworld through their great Google reviews. They sell commercial packaging supplies but they're open to the public. I was greeted immediately when I walked into the small "store" area. I explained what I needed, and it turns out they have moving packages based on the number of rooms you have. The one bedroom package has 10 small boxes, 16 medium ones, 6 large ones, a wardrobe box, 2 rolls of packing tape, packing paper and a marker. I was driving a Zipcar Prius so one of the staff checked to make sure everything would fit before they made the sale. Both guys were friendly and super helpful. Hopefully I won't have to do another move for a long time, but I will definitely return if I ever need any packaging supplies. Go check them out!

Then they all of a sudden added all these rules into our agreement that they didnt give me a copy of. Its always oh surprise you cant do this because it says this in the fine print all of a sudden etc basically. They tricked me into paying for a locker I am no longer using & moving out of, saying the system wont let you transfer to a smaller cheaper one until you pay for the one your 2 days overdue for paying for & you have to pay for the bigger one you wont be using, first, in order to transfer to the smaller one. Then you get credited back the remaining amount you overpaid. When I asked them over and over snd over and so many times and ways, they only answered some questions and ignored the important ones. They said the credit will go into your acount and be taken into your next storage locker. That doesnt explain anything & it probably wont be taking money off my next bill either. They told me this AFTER it was already done. Not before when I asked over and over many times and ways. There not even showing me where I signed and agreed to this. I tried to not pay and just leave to another storage locker but they said I couldnt because I didnt give 7 days notice. I asked where it said that on my copy or theres etc and they just ignored me again. Not to mention how I tried to call another company and I got them somehow originally, but that couldve easily been google or gpt char making yet another mistake but idk with how there acting dodgy with all there catches to everything lately. They forced me to pay for a bigger locker when now in a smaller one, wont refund the difference, make things up and add things as we go, get a computer to sign things for you, dont give you a copy, etc. Very dodgy.

Today I was in office in East Van and this is in Newton but I figured store hours are 9am - 5pm so I can get in, get my package and they can still leave on time. I don't have to be concerned about my package being shipped back. That's not how it worked out at all. I get there with 5 minutes to spare and they are closed. I call their 1-800 only to be told that they usually close the stores at 430pm for their last unit check then go home. Great, then the hours should state that. If the store has hours of open until 5pm then that's not 430pm, that's 5pm.

It is located in a homeless camp area. This is reportedly a problem, and they absolve all responsibility for anything that happens in this regard in the units! Moreover, upon new ownership, my rent increased drastically, as did the terms of renting - went from billing dates monthly to 28 days. Upon moving out, they informed me there are no prorated funds - so they have taken an extra 10 days of my rental time. My rental rate had increased by over $100 in the past 2 1/2 years. Customer service has been rude and condescending since the new ownership. There are far better, cleaner, courteous and more professional storage locations in Mission that offer prorated rentals.

All the movers were hardworking, professional and pleasant to work with. We had half our goods delivered to Maple Ridge and put the other half in storage at OnTime. We had half of the stored goods delivered in 8 months time, then the rest in another year. Considering that we originally planned to have them in storage for only 3 - 6 months, Ronald was very accommodating to keep them longer and stayed in communication with us the entire time. The storage fees were reasonable and did not change over the 18 months. Positives: Excellent communication from the company. Prompt and reliable (definitely On Time and sometimes early!). Reasonable, flexible and accommodating. Excellent workers. Negatives: 3 pieces of wooden furniture had some damage. Company has a limited amount of compensation for damage - review the policy and requirements (report within 2 days of delivery). Some micro-management. I was surprised how expensive it was but beggars can't be choosers. The compound is clean and well-run and I love that they sell boxes, padlocks, etc. in the office if you need them. I took advantage of that. I also love all the security measures in place. You have to punch in your personal code to enter the property, to enter your locker building, and even to exit the property. There are cameras everywhere, which means the likelihood of criminal activity on the grounds is slim. I've deducted a star because if you only need the locker for a week, they still charge you for a full month. To me, this is unethical since they are paid twice for the unit if someone else rents it during the month I already paid for. I needed the locker for 5 weeks but I'm not willing to pay for a second full month in order to keep it that extra 7 days. Instead, I brought everything back to my house rather than picking the stuff up with the moving van the following week. Such a hassle. I think this place would be perfect if they offered pro-rated rent instead of only by the month. It's just better business and makes them look cooperative and honest rather than greedy.

I am leaving this unit as rant its a waste of money. Oh also during this process they got in their van and drove by to look what was going on. Such bad business people.
