I just rented space a week ago. The manager is so friendly and helpful. Units ate clean and it is easy in, easy out.

I was surprised how expensive it was but beggars can't be choosers. The compound is clean and well-run and I love that they sell boxes, padlocks, etc. in the office if you need them. I took advantage of that. I also love all the security measures in place. You have to punch in your personal code to enter the property, to enter your locker building, and even to exit the property. There are cameras everywhere, which means the likelihood of criminal activity on the grounds is slim. I've deducted a star because if you only need the locker for a week, they still charge you for a full month. To me, this is unethical since they are paid twice for the unit if someone else rents it during the month I already paid for. I needed the locker for 5 weeks but I'm not willing to pay for a second full month in order to keep it that extra 7 days. Instead, I brought everything back to my house rather than picking the stuff up with the moving van the following week. Such a hassle. I think this place would be perfect if they offered pro-rated rent instead of only by the month. It's just better business and makes them look cooperative and honest rather than greedy.

I was having moving company pick up some furniture that I sold and they were waiting at the front for me. The grumpy old fart that works there was banging his cane on the window saying can I help you in a really confrontational way. We pay to use a locker and dont have to answer to you like our parents. I am leaving this unit as rant its a waste of money. Oh also during this process they got in their van and drove by to look what was going on. Such bad business people.

I still try to comprehend why we went from roughly 8 hours estimate to pack and download to 13.5…read morehours. Multiply that by 250$ Kevin the owner is not good at providing proper estimates. Very polite and I am sure he will politely respond here as he did privately. The 1/2 drive charge before and after is a cost that is being added after the fact not in original discussions. (Happened both for packing and move) After my correspondence with him on the extra hours he turned the blame on me that the packing was not done right (unorganized) and the van was parked a bit further away from entry for download. As per packing, his own team were involved in packing majority of our stuff. They spent 5 hours the week before. Furthermore the big portion of our stuff was already stored in their pod since July. Yes They were still many boxes left in our house but very little furniture to move: - piano, dining table, 3 disassembled beds, 1 sofa, 1 coffee table, 2 bed side tables, 2 book shelves, one drawer, 3 chairs , one bbq , one lawn mower and one tv So I still don't get why it cost us this much time and money. Yes we were in unfortunate state that the spot in front was taken. That for sure slowed things down, but not 4-5 hours extra. Yes I made the stupid move to watch my kids around 6 pm instead of watching them for entire time so I let them do the download on their own. Did the download actually took from 3 to 8 pm no breaks?! I would like to believe they were truthful. I tried to resolve this with Kevin privately. . We ageeed that the guys worked hard and took only their claimed 30 min break! I raised the issue of lack of management and proper estimates and that needs to be fixed and for that I need to be compensated. He offered me future discount for a future move !!!! (Which basically is a very pretend polite way of dismissing me) I moved with this company 20'years ago. I was happy enough. That's why I went to them this time. But I will never recommend them again as it will turn to be very costly.

I would recommend them. Although they don't have professional packers, some warehouse guys for…read morepacking but they did ok with packing and good with loading the stuff in their boxes. But I can't blame them as it was a last minute call to get them do this job. Came right on time for loading and delivery as well. Unloaded and to my surprise, nothing was broken and nothing was missing (as mentioned in previous comments). Cost of moving from BC to Seattle was reasonable. All togather I would recommend them! Thanks guys!

Avoid Storguard Self-Storage - Misleading Security Claims!…read more If you value your belongings, do NOT trust this company! Storguard claims to be "unique in the industry" with their 24-hour on-site security guard and state-of-the-art digital surveillance--but these claims are outright lies. Here's what happened to us: Our storage locker was robbed. Thieves drilled out our lock in plain sight, outdoors, yet no one noticed. When we notified Storguard, their responses were shocking: Cameras weren't working the night of the robbery--so much for "state-of-the-art surveillance." They admitted they don't actually have an on-site guard, despite boasting about it online and in their marketing materials. Instead, they told us the "guard" works next door and supposedly checks in "once in a while." How could a security guard not notice someone suspiciously drilling a lock off a locker outdoors, in plain view? Needless to say, there was no guard on duty, no cameras recording, and no action taken to prevent or stop the robbery. Our expensive tools and personal belongings--including cherished Christmas decorations--were stolen. These items are gone forever. When we signed up, they assured us that this was the safest facility in the industry. Yet when we confronted them about their failure, they pointed to the fine print in their contract, which conveniently absolves them of responsibility. This company misleads customers with false promises of security to gain their trust and business. Their customer service is dismissive, cold, and unsupportive. They did nothing to help us recover what we lost. Don't be fooled by their fancy website or reassuring sales pitches. This facility is NOT secure, and their promises are a façade. Protect yourself and find a trustworthy storage company--Storguard is not it!

These two "reviews" were quite obviously done by friends of the people who own this business. As an…read moreactual paying-thru-the-nose customer of this establishment, let me tell you, first problem is the hours, EVERY other storage company in the lower mainland is open until 9pm, even malls are open until 9pm, not here though, YOU CAN ONLY ACCESS YOUR LOCKER FROM 8am UNTIL 6pm! This doesn't stop them from deceptively advertising that they are open 24hrs, but thats only if you want to pay WAY MORE for a shipping container located outside of the building that is ACCESSABLE BY ANYONE. Why would this be you ask? Well this is problem number 2 and it is MAJOR: the units are NOT INDIVIDUALLY ALARMED! AND, THERE IS A SIGN IN-OUT PIECE OF PAPER so their SECURITY = LESS THAN ZERO. Problem number 3 is their $25 late fee, + $10 lock cutting fee (YES! THEY REALLY DO CHARGE YOU $10 TO CUT YOUR LOCK OFF WITH BOLT CUTTERS) + the cost of a new lock. You might think that they would be happy collecting all that extra $$$, but you would be wrong. My locker which cost me about $80 a month has actually ended up costing me about $125 every month cause I can't seem to make it in on time. but they call & email me (one month I got 15 emails and about 20 phone calls like their grandmother can't afford surgery if I don't get in there and pay them my locker rent and overdue late fees). Now, even though I do not complain about their huge late fees, and have been a customer over a year now, they still threaten to auction off my locker (like on Storage Wars) if I don't get in & pay by blah blah date. I don't have a car, but I will say the car wash looks nice and modern. So theres an honest representation of what you can expect if you choose to store your stuff with this business. THE WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT, JinX
