I don't advise you let such dishonest people into your home, nor should you trust them with your personal items. These guys showed up with minimal supplies, parked their red Tesla, in my driveway, blocking in both me and my neighbor, despite there being ample parking directly in front of our house. It never crossed their minds, that blocking this communal driveway might be an inconvenience to the people who use it. How can a moving company arrive at a job underprepared, then bill the customer for procuring the very supplies they should have initially provided? Furthermore, we were charged by the hour for the two employees who went hunting for supplies. While two movers went supply hunting, and little to nothing was being done in our home, we were charged an hourly rate for 3 movers, because the moving company failed to bring necessary supplies, and by "supplies" I don't just mean boxes. I'm talking about the scissors, tape, tools, dolly, etc. We had been pleading with them for weeks to provide us with a detailed receipt because the charges for supplies were so inflated that we suspected an error. It required our assistant doggedly pursuing them day after day before they finally furnished us with an itemized receipt. This is not an honest company. It is poorly run, with poor leadership. If Yelp allows it, I am going to attach a copy of the invoice so everyone is able to take a look at exactly what this moving company sent us, the inaccuracies and inflated charges. They state NO HIDDEN FEES but charge me an extra half hour for a 2nd trip? while i was still being charged an hourly rate? Also a $20 packaging fee (hidden)? Not to mention they started 15 min late and ended 15 min before billed end time. They went for a couple of eating breaks but at least give me the heads up so that i'm not waiting around for you. That's not honest as you claim. He quoted me the total, pulled out the machine for my cc or debit then I told him cash. I asked for a receipt and he said HE COULDNT GIVE ME A RECEIPT because he's not charging me tax??? I know he made extra here and there and I just gave him the money since I considered it an extra tip. If he was honest and not so shady I would have given him more but feeling like youre getting overcharged definately leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I would not hire them again!!! I found this moving company off of Craigslist. Knowing that I was taking a risk (and having had very negative experiences with budget movers in my two previous moves), I was significantly stressed at the start of my moving day. The yellow truck showed up within ten minutes of the expected time and the two movers went right to work. Unlike previous movers that I had used, they worked consistently and steadily and were careful with my things. I have some quite heavy pieces that were difficult to get up to my new home, which has narrow stairs that turn. They were able to get my washer and dryer and heavy furniture moved in with barely a scratch on my walls. Most importantly, they were really nice guys. My stress eased as the day went on, and even when at my peak, they were easy and friendly. At the end of the day I was charged exactly what I had been quoted - no surprises, no new charges. If you are moving on a budget, I can not recommend these guys high enough. I am so relieved to have found movers that don't leave you feeling ripped off or taken advantage of at the end of the day. I rate this company high. First of all, when I called the company and left a vm, Liz returned my phone call right away and reassured me that the movers will meet me at my location in Vancouver, not to worry. Joseph and his moving partner purchased additional boxes for me last minute, not a problem. My friend's place was unfortunately unorganized from the start, the boxes were not fully packed up before they arrived. The storage had many little things and they took a long time to 'tetris pack' those items however the apartment items went fairly quickly. The Cleaners called in sick and Liz herself volunteered to come over and assist me to pack up the remaining items, (relieving a LOT of my stress) and clean the apartment herself. The cleaning products were organic, green and she used no chemicals. She was an angel. Personally I felt that the loading of the boxes could have been a bit faster because I've done a lot of moves myself, however, with the entire situation of my friend's place not being organized from our end, the timing was perfect to get everything on board and then drive down to the storage building on commercial to unload. That went fairly quickly as well. Liz was always professional, always smiling, Because this is a smaller moving company, a local Vancouver company.
