Hard Working, Terrible Packers & Bumpy Move Randy, Richard and Nick are very hard working and careful to prevent furniture damage. I give credit for that. BUT the packing and move itself was bumpy. We had a complicated move that took place from Jan 23-27, 2026 and we signed up basically for the "full meal deal" - packing services and two trucks to move to two locations. We were ready for packing with everything sorted and separated for the two locations. The "packers" who arrived had no experience, were incredibly slow and really had no idea how to pack a home for moving: Nothing was labelled except the room it was from; often it wasn't labeled for where it was going; there were missed cabinets (in the kitchen!) that didn't get packed; and we had to help a lot and do additional packing to get us finished which was not planned or expected. Rather than work room through room to pack, they were contstantly going into different areas without finishing where they were, creating chaos and missed items. And...for this terrible pack job, we got to pay nearly $3000 over and above the moves. Please Note: The packers were also the moving crew and when i learned this, I was less surprised. When it came to loading despite repeatedly indicating which items went where and labelling them ourselves, it was a very confused process over a couple days with the same questions being asked repeatedly. At the end, nearly 2 pick up trucks worth of items didnt fit despite us being told during the quote process it would. Several boxes also went to the wrong locations making it more complicated. When we asked for some consideration (a $300-$400 reduction in cost to cover our fuel costs for the extra trips) to transport remaining item we were flatly refused and the office administrator stated that they can't quarantee everything will fit even after a site visit during quoting. Basically was told it was our problem, not there's and its in their "terms and condtions." in tiny print you don't really notice This was really poor customer service considering we spent about 10K with them to get us moved. Left a pretty sour taste. Side Note: While it is a legal substance in BC, a couple of the people wreeked of cannabis often and we wondered/were concerned if they were under the influence while working. I hope MCM in future designates different people to move vs pack. They are differen skills and it would for sure have made our move easier. If you use them, ask better questions. Check their terms and conditions carefully and be aware that their quotes are "non-binding" which may matter. Hopefully this honest review prompts you to ask things we didn't even think would be an issue. read more

Only giving two stars because one of the movers was apologetic and kind (more so than the owner himself). I was quoted 4-6 hours to move a two bedroom apartment and ended up being charged for 10.5 hours (this included two additional drop offs which were an hour extra which I understand completely). I emailed them a month ago and no response and when I called today the owner Vlad took no responsibility for anything. I had heirlooms from my late father noted in bright green tape labeled crystals which left 100's of dollars in breakage, to which the owner said it was a packing mistake, when I had told the movers I was taking small boxes in my car (I knew they were not packed with bubble wrap which is why I was going to take them but the movers took it by accident in the truck, and was not fragile with it at all). I signed a document stating if boxes were clearly label with fragile on it (crystals are fragile - anyone would know with common sense) that I would be reimbursed for the value of the items. Vlad did not apologize and didn't have an ounce of compassion when I mentioned these were broken items left to me from my father who passed away two years ago and told me if I read the contract again I would see it is not covered. I also had to head to my new apartment for the viewing and keys so I had to leave the movers behind to finish up, which I figured would be another 20 minutes. After I got downtown to the new place (30 minute drive) the movers still hadn't texted me to say they had left. Another 20 minutes went by and nothing so I messaged them and they said they were leaving in 15 minutes. An hour passes and when I call them they say they are just leaving the old apartment. After that, another hour passes for them to get to the new place. :| This was the first time using movers and myself with my cousin and father in the past have moved things for places double the size in quicker time than these professionals. The movers them self said there should have been 3 of them for the job (as I had two storage closets in the apartment from my late parents and grandmother). The one mover who was nice even told me the other guy doesn't show up a lot (meaning he's not experienced with moving?!). I am upset as the customer service was not there at all and I was made to feel like all of it is my fault and I am just another sheep in the heard. On top of that, when I was on the phone, Vlad interrupted me when I was trying to explain what else happened and said I will look over the paperwork - excuse me but your paperwork or anything else is snot going to tell you YOUR CUSTOMER'S PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. Ended with a less-than-heart-felt have a good day and hung up. As a business person your customer is everything and you wouldn't have a company to run if it wasn't for them, so why am I the one having to fight for good service or at least some compassion. read more

I am a single person and expected my move to be reasonably quick. The company provided one experienced mover and 2 inexperienced movers. I was about 90% packed and the mover assured they had packed many houses. I found their method of packing was to grab bags like my grocery bags and throw stuff in and then add these to various open boxes. This meant when I got to my new place I had to open and go through each box to find things, which took days. During the move, it was raining and the movers left boxes out in the rain during loading and unloading. As well, they continuously complained that they did not expect the move to take this long. The inexperienced movers refused to stay on the mats, walking on the carpets with wet shoes, even after they were told my the head mover and myself. Myself and a friend of mine assisted with loading/unloading and yet the move took 7 hours. When they were completed I indicated I wanted to talk to the owner prior to making payment. The head mover was very aggressive and belligerent and would not leave without receiving payment. He had also told initially he would charge less for the experience movers and there was no reduction. The only positive is that nothing was broken. read more

About a month ago I moved from Burnaby to Coquitlam with my 2 brm apartment. The main Item to move was my piano which is over 110 years old! It was very heavy, last company I used had to bring 4 men to bring it down the stairs. When I called Vlad at My City Mover, I asked him to come for inhouse estimate, he assured me that he will handle the job with only 3 movers thus saving me some money on the bill, and he did!!
