But what I definitely was not expecting was the excellent customer service! It appears to be family run and not only we we taken care of right away, everyone who Came through the door was attended to pretty mu chi immediately! We did have to wait for of documents to print out but the shop had many interesting hand crafted items from a variety of local vendors. They also have P.O. Boxes and packing and shipping services! Highly recommend and I will definitely come back here before going into Bellingham for similar services!

You see like many Canadians & vice versa Americans, we were severely impacted by the border closure in effect since mid March 2020! Have I told you about how much I hate bats!!? S*#'! I began to wonder if I would ever be able to pick up my orders or would they be lost forever ... maybe even end up on one of those 'unclaimed items' auctions you see on TV!? 'Hey that's my 85" TV about to be sold off!' LOL. Land crossings at the border finally reopened last week. Yahoooooo!!! Cheesecake Factory - I missed you soooooo much! You see its cheaper for Canadians to set up mailboxes just across the border & receive parcels this way as a means of avoiding paying high duty! Items going through a customs inspection are charged a dreaded 'customs fee' & it ain't cheap! I am still required to declare everything I bring back to Canada to the border agents - when driving back up. But the point being - it's way cheaper this way & I save quite a bit in duty & fees! This was part of the email MBI sent out back in 2020 to all users, when the pandemic effects started to drag on ... "We have signed a short term lease on a new warehouse just down the street from us to create more room for your parcels! This increased our storage space immensely. We're continuing to keep free storage until the border opens back up." A sign of just how much the backup of parcels was occurring! Look at the ports of most waterfront cities today - major backlog of shipping containers stuck on ships unable to dock because of labour issues brought on by the pandemic. Sorry but you might not get your Christmas present from Santa this year. I'm so ever grateful to MBI, that all my orders were well taken care of. I picked up everything I ordered over the last 20 months with no issues! Keep in mind that with each coming month a new Coronavirus variant is being discovered - which could mean even more border restrictions!!! So act now or be subject to variant #54, virus #27 & wave #95 restrictions!!! Yikes! It would be funny if it almost weren't true ... so this is the point at were you start ... crying! *Hot tip alert* - you can use WiFi here & fill in your details on the ArrivCan App just before heading to the border! Hard Working, Terrible Packers & Bumpy Move…read more Randy, Richard and Nick are very hard working and careful to prevent furniture damage. I give credit for that. BUT the packing and move itself was bumpy. We had a complicated move that took place from Jan 23-27, 2026 and we signed up basically for the "full meal deal" - packing services and two trucks to move to two locations. We were ready for packing with everything sorted and separated for the two locations. The "packers" who arrived had no experience, were incredibly slow and really had no idea how to pack a home for moving: Nothing was labelled except the room it was from; often it wasn't labeled for where it was going; there were missed cabinets (in the kitchen!) that didn't get packed; and we had to help a lot and do additional packing to get us finished which was not planned or expected. Rather than work room through room to pack, they were contstantly going into different areas without finishing where they were, creating chaos and missed items. And...for this terrible pack job, we got to pay nearly $3000 over and above the moves. Please Note: The packers were also the moving crew and when i learned this, I was less surprised. When it came to loading despite repeatedly indicating which items went where and labelling them ourselves, it was a very confused process over a couple days with the same questions being asked repeatedly. At the end, nearly 2 pick up trucks worth of items didnt fit despite us being told during the quote process it would. Several boxes also went to the wrong locations making it more complicated. When we asked for some consideration (a $300-$400 reduction in cost to cover our fuel costs for the extra trips) to transport remaining item we were flatly refused and the office administrator stated that they can't quarantee everything will fit even after a site visit during quoting. Basically was told it was our problem, not there's and its in their "terms and condtions." in tiny print you don't really notice This was really poor customer service considering we spent about 10K with them to get us moved. Left a pretty sour taste. Side Note: While it is a legal substance in BC, a couple of the people wreeked of cannabis often and we wondered/were concerned if they were under the influence while working. I hope MCM in future designates different people to move vs pack. They are differen skills and it would for sure have made our move easier. If you use them, ask better questions. Check their terms and conditions carefully and be aware that their quotes are "non-binding" which may matter. Hopefully this honest review prompts you to ask things we didn't even think would be an issue.

They were friendly, helpful AND reasonably priced. (They have a discounted price structure based on volume ). I ordered 10 signs. Lithtex promptly did some minor artwork and setup at no cost.
