Discovery Park Storage has been my go to place for storage needs for several years now. The staff is always friendly, very helpful and they always find the right size unit for me when I need temporary storage. They even have saved me money by pointing out specials, etc. Every contract is month to month as well, which is what I always need. It's clean, safe, heated storage with friendly staff. I have been a customer of Discovery Park Storage for less than a year, and have had multiple problems. I changed the account my payment came out of when I got married, and subsequently received several messages that my payment account was invalid. Each time I contacted them, they had reverted to my original account, due to a system update. Not my fault, yet I received continual threats of collection and auctioning my belongings. Today I went to my storage unit, for which I am paid through almost 2 more weeks, and there is a red lock on the door, and no one in the office to talk to about it, and no answer on the phone for the past 30 minutes! Great customer service! I called in the morning about a unit and found out they had only one left in the size I was looking for. I told them I would be in later that day and showed up around noon-1pm. Matthew, the person working in the office, said someone had come in asking about the unit but he had saved it for me because I said I'd be in later that day -- and I hadn't even asked! I was very impressed by the customer service and would recommend this business based on that alone. I shopped around for units close to downtown Bellingham and also would highly recommend Discovery Park for its location (right off the Lakeway exit) and access hours (9am-6pm every day for my building, even better hours for the other building), which is better than the other two storage locations near downtown (one was closed Sundays-Mondays and the was closed during lunch). I haven't started storing any of my items in my unit but I was given a tour and the building seemed clean and secure. read more

I rented from them for a little over a year in 2010 - 2011 during a temporary relocation for my family. They were very good and was my first experience at a location managed by Urban Storage. Despite high turnover of staff during that time, the place was still professionally managed. I'd definitely use them again should I ever find myself in Bellingham. read more

I can't recommend them enough - so helpful getting a storage unit, and ended up using their UHaul rentals four times over the course of our local move (didn't even realize they offered the UHauls until we got our unit - definitely convenient "one-stop" place to go!). They know how to TAKE the reservation, they just don't know how to HOLD the reservation. When I arrived to pick up our reserved truck, I was told it was not there. There was a truck in the lot that was exactly what I had reserved, but the agent would not let me take it because that one was designated for someone else. Another couple was ahead of me in line and they were told the same thing, and also left unhappy. There is a sign in the shop that says "I Can Help You" with the number for the Senior Area Field Manager. So I called that number and left a message. I am still waiting to hear back. I and others had taken time off of work and come from out of town to get this move done. We could not reschedule, so I called Fountain Rental. I paid more for a truck, and I received very good service. I know who I'll call next time. read more

If you want your stuff to get wet (not our fault - read the contract) and to fight over the bill every month, you should go here. I've been renting from Discovery Park for about 3 years now and have big appreciation for what they offer. After losing many thousands of dollars to a storage unit with mold at another storage facility, I'm happy with the cleanliness of this storage facility and not worried about my items at all. The guys at the counter have always been super friendly and helpful. I like to go during day or to have my husband with me when I go, because I find it a little creepy to go in all alone during quieter hours, although there are security cameras and code keypads for only legitimate renters to gain entry. I started renting there on high recommendation from a friend who has also had some unfortunate experiences at other storage units. I don't write too many reviews, but when I looked online for Discovery Parks phone number and saw in my Google search results that they only had 3 stars on Yelp from one other review, I was really surprised since I've been so happy with them. It inspired me to take the time to give my 2 cents. Based on my experience thus far, at least for storage, I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family (and have done so). read more

Hopefully now future customers can have the explanation given to them immediately should they be charged any addition fees upon returning the van. We reserved a moving truck for 9:00am 06/25/2016, we showed up for the truck but were told that the truck had not been returned. The person behind the counter Bryan called the UHaul place on the Guide who had a smaller truck (required 3 trips to move instead of 1, more time, gas and more miles) available, Bryan told us that due to the inconvenience of reserved truck not being able we would get a $50.00 credit on the bill. When we returned the truck to the Meridian location there was no credit on the bill, the agent there said "we weren't told of a credit and can't apply one you'll have to call Uhaul", we called Bryan at Discovery Rental and he denied having talked to us so we drove back over to Discovery Rental and he continued to deny that we had been there before or that we had talked to him. We had hired movers to help us and one of the movers walked in to the office to pick up a truck for another job, when the mover walked in and confirmed the conversation that had happened including the promise of the credit with Bryan, Bryan all of a sudden recalled us having come in to the office but he denied having offered a credit. Bryan having been caught in a lie started to pace and tell us to "shut up" and "get out" he then threatened to call the police if we didn't leave we told him to call the police so he did. We waited for the police officer stated that he didn't know why the police were called over this matter. read more
