i chose bungobox over frogbox strictly for the fact that it was cheaper and i got to keep the boxes one day longer. the dropoff and pickup was prompt and chai, the delivery guy, always called to confirmed the times the day before, as well as the day of. highly recommend this service. the money was worth the hours of hunting for cardboard boxes. in addition to the other tips other reviewers have mentioned, here's one more: - zip ties. buy them. although i did not stuff my boxes super full, they were packed enough that the lids were ajar. i did not order them with my boxes and had to go out any buy them because better safe than sorry. plus, they're super cheap so why not just secure the boxes just that much more. read more

Excellent idea for your move. I order the two bedroom set for my one bedroom + office apartment plus a wardrobe. Is very easy to pack and safe for all you belongings. The costumer service is excellent and the process very easy, all confirmed by a phone call and you don't have to worry at all anymore. For movers is so easy to stack the boxes on the dolly and will safe a lot of time on your move. Every person in this company is nice, attentive and once again, provide an amazing costumer experience. I had a great experience with BungoBox. The owner, Chai, is incredibly nice. Their website still has some problems with recognizing any postal code, but I just called directly and placed the order. I ordered the 3 bedroom package for my 2 bedroom apartment, but probably should have ordered a few extra boxes. We were 4 people in a 2bedroom, so you might want to order based on the number of people living in the space instead of how many bedrooms. Just a suggestion, though. The boxes arrived on time and clean. Packing was easy, and the dollies really helped. The extra-large dolly is also great for moving large furniture, so that saved me time and money, too. It was great having a "must-be-unpacked-by-pickup-date" so that I could not procrastinate. Chai and his employee arrived on time for pickup and were so nice and speedy. Highly recommended for moves that have elevators and no/few stairs. The boxes are super sturdy but quite heavy if you have to carry them up steps. That said, NOTHING broke, and that's a first. read more

As the owner of ILoveMoving.ca, I can tell you without a doubt that getting these boxes will save you money on moving costs. We can move and stack these boxes fast and easy, so when you rent BungoBoxes, you are saving far more than the cost of renting them. Think about it, we can use a dollie to bring 4 BungoBoxes to the truck in one trip and just leave it there, or we can bring an assortment of different sized cardboard boxes and waste time playing "tetris" and worrying about which box goes on top and which on the bottom, and if it is going tip over or get crushed, etc... In summary, your moving costs will be cut by at least 30% over random cardboard boxes. read more

BungoBox was a great moving solution. The boxes themselves are great, but the movers I got through them were exceptional. Shawn and Micah were scheduled the week of my move (which happened to be the busiest moving weekend of the year). Despite the short notice, they went out of their way to accommodate my timeframe. The truck was loaded within an hour of it being parked out front of my apartment. They even gave my partner and I a ride to my new place and everything was done within hours. Shawn and Micah were nothing but pleasant the entire time. My only complaint is that BungoBox charges an hour for travel time, but it's hardly unreasonable (and I was informed of all the fees while booking the movers). It's worth noting that this was my 40th move and the most pleasant one. read more

We just moved and used BungoBoxes. Using those boxes definitely made our move suck less. Way less! The service (Chai) was awesome, super friendly and helpful. I hope I don't have to move again anytime soon but if I do BungoBox will be part of it again. Thank you Chai. read more

Great service! These are very sturdy large stackable black plastic boxes that you borrow and they pick up eliminating the hassle of taping cardboard and breaking down/trying to recycle. Instead, you just call them to pick up. They have wardrobes and Dolly's too. Chai was great about sales and follow ups as I was busy and distracted selling our home. The delivery people put them on our four floors of our home where requested. It made our packing service cheaper as they can load the bungo boxes better and faster. A plus. read more

Bungo "life savers" box I started by only renting the boxes last December. I was moving on Jan 12th and from the beginning I was happy with the level of professionalism. I received the boxes the Saturday before the my and at that point I was very happy with how It seems I had everything under control and it was going to be a painless moving...until the day before my moving... I had arranged the moving with another company, with which I had done a previous moving. I needed to start moving out early in the day because for strata requirement I needed to have completed the move out by noon, so I had arranged with that other company to start early and they agreed "9 am as the earliest because they don't do works earlier than that ..." I said ok it should still work ...early the day before the date I texted to double check the appointment and they replied (at 4pm on the Friday!) that they could only start around 10 am and that because of my strata issue then I should hire an additional person so they could move faster ...I started to get stressed out... the last thing I wanted for my moving day... and I was almost sure that for the number of things I had that the move out was not going to be done under 2 hours, even getting the extra person, so the strata was going to charge me the extra time too... So at 4pm on Friday I called BungoBox, to see if they could help me doing the moving too, explaining the situation and that I already had their boxes. I was short of a panic attack. Irvin received my called and quickly evaluated my situation over the phone (space, number of things... we quickly went through everything I have!), then he checked the availability of truck and confirmed!! Everything within 30 mins .... and they were going to start the move out at 8am as I wanted !!!!!!!! On the moving day everything went smoothly, started at 8 and done at the new place at 12:30!!! And today, a week after, they picked up the boxes and that was it!!!! I am beyond happy with their services and I will definitely repeat in the future! Thank you !!! read more

Prompt, friendly and super helpful with my order. Chai offered great advice on how many boxes we would need. We have a one bedroom + den; I went with the 2 bedroom box package. I was very pleased and appreciated the packing tips and tricks PDF to help me pack efficiently for our movers. The boxes stacked nicely both full and also while we were emptying them at our new place. They didn't take much space and it was a great alternative to cardboard. They also had a promo running that got my $10 off my order and they also were collecting warm clothing donations for folks on the DTES which I thought was really great. I was just told to put my donation in a bin. They dropped off and picked up when on time which was awesome. Overall I would highly recommend! Thanks Chai! read more

These guys rocked. Made packing a lot easier. They got a mixed review from our moves since the large boxes don't make it around corners very easily but we found them to be a lifesaver during our move. Also appreciated the flexibility on dropoff/pickup times. read more

Ordered a 1 br set for my move (1 br, 740 sqft). Chai dropped them off right on time on the scheduled day and we got started. Had a lot of books, so these boxes were fantastic. In the past I always had to be careful how I loaded boxes so that they didn't just fall apart. The 1 br set was almost perfect for the amount of stuff we had, only needed a few other boxes for miscellaneous things afterwards. Had hired movers for this move, and having the bungoboxes made loading and unloading the truck a lot easier. I have to say, using these made the job a lot easier. Also, the fact that the boxes were getting picked up about 5 days after we moved made sure that we got everything unpacked and set up in our new place in record time. Will use again, for sure. read more

Great service. I definitely recommend their service. Good response time on all communications.

These boxes made my last move so simple, fast and actually less expensive than cardboard. The owner Chi, is a great guy, delivered and picked up the boxes right on time as he promised. A very cool way to smooth out your moving experience! read more

Bungobox is an awesome service. Get reusable boxes delivered to your door, use them to complete your packing and when you're done they come pick them up. I had my place painted and needed a way to get everything off the walls. The packers came in with the Bungo Boxes and a couple of hours later the place was ready to go! Several days later, everything was unpacked, Bungobox picked up their boxes and I was all set. It could not be more convenient. Thanks! read more

Thanks to Travis, Keefer and Mike. Used them for swapping my fridge and stove with my brother's fridge and stove. Had to remove the doors to the fridge and also the security door to one of the entrance doors. They had all the tools and were very professional. Were very careful with lifting and with the delivery in whole. Would definitely use them again when I move. read more

Moved at the beginning of September 2017. Dan from Bungobox came EXACTLY on time to drop them off. Boxes were perfectly clean and super-easy to use (and the dollies they use make it seem like the boxes are floating on air, they roll so easily). Two weeks later, when we'd finished unpacking, Dan came back EXACTLY on time to pick the boxes up. Couldn't have made moving easier. The only caveat I would make is that you count your boxes in front of the delivery person when they're delivered. Bungobox claims they gave us a certain number and that one was missing when they came to pick up. I KNOW we didn't keep or lose one (our move was from one floor to another in the same building), so I think their count may have been wrong at the outset. A missing box will cost you $30. Otherwise, great service for a great product.. DB Vancouver read more

Used these guys again for our move, but not just for box rental but also for their moving services! We used two guys, one was named Keith and I don't remember the other guys name (sorry!) they showed up on time, were super careful with all our belongings and were really efficient. They made our move very very easy. read more

There was a slight misunderstanding when I called and at first was a bit turned off by the tone of voice when I asked a question and he said, "Did you not check out the website." Whether intentional or not, it just didn't come out right. He did call back and apologized which is why this communication review hasn't severely been impacted. Maybe it was the mistake of me asking for a single box when they clearly don't do that but rather packages. Thank you for the call back and clearing up the misunderstanding. Just understand that not everyone may have been to the website and even if someone had, perhaps they need more clarification. Tone could be worked on? As for the rates that were presented it was very reasonable and they do have wardrobe boxes as a reasoanable rental. read more

Great service all the way. This is the 2nd time I used them. Irwin, Chris and staff were great professionals and very accommodating with delivery and pick up. Boxes were clean and sturdy. Highly recommend this company for your next move! read more

It made our move so much easier! This is the first time that we use BungoBoxes and certainly not the last. The boxes are so sturdy and make it easier to get organized stacking them up and moving them around. Wardrobes for hanging clothes are a game changer, these saved us so much time! The staff doing the delivery and pickup service were so polite and professional. It feels good knowing that I didn't have to send more cardboard boxes to the recycle bin. read more

BungoBox was recommended by a coworker. Such a great idea. Danny was efficient and pleasant. The drop-off and pick-up of the boxes helped tremendously - selecting your own time window is also helpful. Would highly recommend them! read more

I have used Frogboxes before so I do have something to compare with. I don't make a habit of moving (don't recommend it) but I had the misfortune of having to move twice within 6 months (yuck)!! Frogboxes and Bungobox offer the same friendly service BUT Bungobox is much better in many ways (in my humble opinion). Firstly, Bungobox is cheaper, that is bonus number 1. Secondly, I get to deal with the same helpful person every time - Chai, who essentially runs the business himself. Very personable and you have a good chat with him (if you care about that sort of thing). Not, "here's your boxes, cya bye" Not "We're here to collect your boxes, cya bye" Thirdly, I like how you get 2 XL boxes - so useful for big honkin' duvets etc. And what's more you get a dolly included (which you don't with Frogbox). Plus the Bungoboxes are cleaner (sorry Frogboxes just weren't that clean). Plus the wardrobe boxes were not falling apart (Frogbox one's really needed fix-ups). Even the Bungobox stickers were better. There's actually space to write on them! I got to keep the boxes for longer too (which I did with Frogbox as well). Can't say too much about the website as I never used it - I just called and it was alway Chai on the other end. I got an annoying Frogbox phone call after each drop off and pick up, which I guess that is good that they care how things went, but that is too "corporate-like" for me, and I could've done without that. Frogbox is good - but Bungobox is better. read more

These were just the best. Moving was so much easier with BungoBox - the boxes are large and fit a ton of stuff but so sturdy you never had to worry about a broken bottom. These save me a lot of money as well - not only with the price compared to conventional cardboard boxes and tape but with the actual move. When my movers showed up and saw these boxes stacked neatly in the rooms, they thanked me. Told me I made their job so much easier which in turn cost me less because they were so quick to move. I only had them picked up today after moving this past weekend and have already recommended them to everyone. read more

I used BungoBox this winter when I moved appartments and had a great experience. They arrived on time and showed me how to use the boxes and dollys. The boxes work really well too. This was awesome! I'd recommend this service to anyone moving. They were so friendly and helpful when they dropped off. It worked wonders for packing our whole household. I'd recommend buying the wrapping paper too, dealing with newsprint is so 90's. I'll be telling all my peeps! read more

Renting boxes was so much easier than using cardboard boxes. The BungoBoxes were strong, stackable and came with a set of wheels that made moving them very easy. Our moving company was happy to see the BungoBoxes and we believe that it helped to make our move proceed faster than if we used carboard boxes. The delivery and pickup staff were friendly and professional. We highly recommend the company for anyone moving. read more

I rented both BungoBoxes and used them to move me from my high-rise condo to a townhouse. The BungoBoxes were super useful, I wish I had these for my first move! I put all my heavy textbooks and other items into these boxes on their dolly system and all I had to do was push them out of the way when I needed to clear room. The BungoBoxes actually helped the move go way faster- they were able to at least 15 boxes into the elevator and move them to their truck (I have to pay per hour for renting out the elevator in my high-rise) so I am confident that they were able to fill up the entire space of elevator each trip they took! The move team ran like clockwork and moved things fast, clean, properly and professionally, they had someone on the ground floor loading things from the lobby, through my parking garage into their truck, someone wrapping up my furniture in blankets (they even discussed with me and helped to disassemble large pieces of furniture to ensure that there wouldn't be any damage during transport) and someone moving items from my apartment to the elevator. One thing that I hated about living in a high-rise condo, is that whenever someone would move in, there would be dents and scrapes on the wall. There was none of this with my move and the BungoBoxes definitely helped. If I had movers carrying cardboard boxes instead of using BungoBoxes, the move would have taken at least 1-2 hours longer! This also helped me save money from not having to rent the elevator for longer than I had to (another thing that I hated about living in a high-rise- when someone is moving and there are only 2-3 elevators for the entire building, it takes a long time to use the elevator). I strongly recommend using BungoBox for boxes and for your move. read more

I had boxes delivered and picked up by Bungobox for my move, it was super easy and the service was great, they asked me whether I needed help moving, at that time I had not decided who I was going to go with so I just thought I would use them and spare myself using different providers. I will ALWAYS return to Bungobox, they are super efficient and also think ahead, they left the blankies for my floor so that I don't mess it up. My move was sooooper fast and smooth! Bungobox moved a five bedroom house for me with quite a few difficult areas to navigate. the estimate was efficiently done. I picked these guys over frogbox for their prices (way better!) and I have to say I am fully satisfied with my choice. These boxes are great! They stack up perfectly, are durable, and hold a ton of stuff (makes them pretty heavy if you have a lot of books, though). The service from Chai was excellent: when he dropped the boxes off (perfectly on time) he gave solid advice for wise packing and helped my take them in to my old place. The pickup service was great, too, with excellent communication from Chai re: pickup times and apologizing for getting stuck in traffic (he was far from late for his 2 hour window). Bottom line is that I will definitely use Bungobox again. There is no comparison to stinky old cardboard boxes. read more
