They were highly organized, efficient and disassembled and reassembled several pieces of furniture. Items were wrapped in padded moving blankets to protect them and there were no scuffs or scrapes to any of my items or to the walls. Also, my move day was in a horrendous windy downpour so extra points for that! The cost of my move was totally reasonable too. I would highly recommend Montgomery Moving for any moving job. They came recommended by a friend who had moved recently. OMG, they were organized, polite, and just so chill (which is good because I'm a stress monkey). Stairs? No problem. Slow elevator? They've dealt with worse. Weird furniture? "Now you do have a really tight turn in the stair well, I'm a bit worried if you said this couch needs to go up there". Seriously no surprises, calm compassionate problem solving. And not a scratch anywhere. Even my terribly packed, without packing paper, cheap glass mixing bowls in a mislabeled box survived intact! I think each guy on the team asked me if I had felt pads for under the furniture before they put them down on the floor. You are done looking for your movers, book these guys!

I hired these company based on a personal recommendation. One of the movers was great, and of the…read moremovers was unusually careless all day and dragged the upholstered side of my couch through some grass and forcefully threw boxes around, breaking some of my belongings. This resulted in, among other things, breaking a full-frame Sony camera body (approximately $1000 replacement cost). The other mover seemed a bit apologetic for the guy, but that doesn't fix my broken camera or any other damage that was done by the careless mover. I had everything fragile wrapped in padding, but a violent enough blow will damage anything, and one of the movers was throwing stuff around pretty violently. I've moved around a lot and have occasionally had things broken on international or cross-country moves where your possessions are handled by a lot of people and tossed onto some truck and you'll find that there's a foot deep puncture in one of the boxes, but I've never had this kind of damage from a local move. I would've been surprised to see this kind of damage from such a short move if I hadn't seen how one of the movers was treating my items. Dragging the cloth side of the couch across the grass was the most egregious looking thing, but in terms of replacement cost, throwing boxes around turned out to be the worse problem. Their advertising copy reads "Our experience with moving unique, costly and fragile furniture mreans that you can trust us with your belongings. Expensive and heavy items will be handled with special care". If that's special care, I'd hate to see what it looks like when they don't take special care.

They reserved an extra large truck (apparently, we needed it, despite the fact that we didn't think we had THAT much stuff), booked the ferry in advance, and showed up ready to do hard work. Of which there was plenty. Amazing service - friendly, professional, efficient, timely, and exactly as quoted. We can't thank you enough for making it such a positive experience for us!

Everything was handled very smoothly, and they take credit debit and e-transfer which is awesome. They also packed for us the day before which helped tremendously.

Called Ferguson initially mostly because the reviews seemed decent. Our initial inquiry was responded to promptly and an estimator visited our house a few days later to give us a quote. It was the visit from the estimator that clinched it for us. Juville was so professional and thorough. Asked about things we hadn't even thought of. Made some excellent suggestions. My initial reaction to the quoted price was that it was higher than expected, but considering what the sketchy / overly complicated options were coming in at, it wasn't actually that much more. And Juville clearly knew what she was doing, which was extremely reassuring. We really appreciated that she came to our house, prepared a detailed written estimate on the spot, and left us to think about it, without any pressure. We called her back, booked the move and paid our deposit. On moving day we had the worst possible rain (and that's saying something in Vancouver). The movers were organized and professional, and the rain didn't slow them down at all. When the truck was weighed it was very close to what Juville had estimated on our written quote. Our goods arrived safely at the other end. No damage, nothing missing. For the quoted price, no surprises. I would definitely recommend Ferguson and would use them again.

We did an initial video estimate and then the week of the move Ty came personally to see where things were at to ensure he had what was needed to be ready for moving day. They showed up on time. Their system was well executed, and they had us loaded very quickly. Igor, Manny, Daniel and Christian were very friendly, and professional, and took extra care with our fragile items. Ty was there for the loading as well, to ensure we had everything we needed. At the new place the unload went just as seamlessly and when the truck was empty they even took the time to ask if there was anything we wanted help putting together, and if we wanted them to move anything into a particular spot while they were still there. We did ask them to move a couple of the heavier items which they did happily. Payment was easy; the estimate was exact to the invoice. E-transfer payment was quick and simple. They are definitely competitive price wise, if not a bit better value than some of the larger companies and way better service. These guys are amazing. They're not kids but they seem to enjoy a level of physical fitness and work ethic that would put many youngsters to shame - especially young Dougie. What the hell does this guy eat for breakfast, one wonders? Give me two of whatever he's having. Interestingly, these guys are all true gents - soft-spoken, articulate introverts who might be equally at home in a downtown office tower. Here's how it works: Dave, the head man, comes to review household contents and the particulars of both locations before submitting the estimate. Dream Team then arrives right on schedule to take apart furniture and begin loading. It's a constant orderly movement from house to truck. No breaks - just roll, haul, lift and back with occasional teasing and easy laughter. No stopping until the truck is fully loaded. We were relieved when they finally agreed to a half-hour lunch break before unloading at the new place. Throughout the move, it was like being in the presence of a well-rehearsed dance company or basketball team. Imagine if govt and all labor worked like this! I've never said this before about contractors but ALL of these guys would be welcome anytime to break bread chez Biblitz. No notice and no jacket required.
