Faced with having to move our student child from one apartment to another, this time with…read morefurniture, not to mention more amassed belongings, we knew that this was not something that we could do on our own - especially because we live multiple provinces away. After having researched many movers in the Vancouver area, we reached out to BungoBox. One of their friendly professionals immediately reached out and walked us through all of the details - with no pressure to commit. We valued their advice greatly as we have never had to book movers before, let alone from a such a long distance away. One thing we highly recommend, is to add-on BungoBox's rental containers. For us it was a set of 23 large, 2 extra large, and one dolly - along with some extra wrapping paper and a mattress protector. These items were indispensable and made packing, and moving, a breeze. As arranged, they were delivered early in the day, two days prior to the move. Move day couldn't have been more relaxed! The BungoBox team of two arrived right on time, wrapped all the furniture in blankets, and ensured everything was secured inside the truck. I will admit, I was anxious about where they would park as the two buildings did not have loading areas and the receiving end was located in a very busy part of the university. The lead mover reassured me that this was not a concern, they deal with this all the time. Sure enough, they arrived at the new apartment, parked the moving truck like the pros they are, and delivered all of our child's belongs without a single scratch! The moving containers were a 7 day rental, so we took some time over the next day or two unpacking, then simply let BungoBox know and the boxes were quickly picked up again. We are happy to say that we would not hesitate in recommending BungoBox to anyone moving in and around Vancouver. Their service is friendly and very professional. This was a very last-minute move but they were able to schedule us in quickly, were super responsive, and very accommodating of our schedules. The boxes were absolutely a godsend. We had bungobox movers do the bulk of the move but we continued to use and re-use the boxes afterwards to cart the rest of our junk over bit by bit. They loaded into the car easier than standard boxes, the cart that comes with them makes them very easy to roll around even fully packed with heavy items, they stood up to a lot more punishment than cardboard ever would, and they were generally just easier to pick up and move around because of the handles and lids. Of course being environmentally friendly is a huge bonus as well. As for the move itself, I can honestly say I'd never do it myself ever again. The movers were on time, professional, friendly, and SO FAST. They're definitely pros. They took great care to wrap and/or tape up all my furniture and even my many awkward glass-top tables. I don't think a single item was damaged or broken. If I could give bungobox more stars I would.

Very polite and I am sure he will politely respond here as he did privately. The 1/2 drive charge before and after is a cost that is being added after the fact not in original discussions. (Happened both for packing and move) After my correspondence with him on the extra hours he turned the blame on me that the packing was not done right (unorganized) and the van was parked a bit further away from entry for download. As per packing, his own team were involved in packing majority of our stuff. They spent 5 hours the week before. Furthermore the big portion of our stuff was already stored in their pod since July. Yes They were still many boxes left in our house but very little furniture to move: - piano, dining table, 3 disassembled beds, 1 sofa, 1 coffee table, 2 bed side tables, 2 book shelves, one drawer, 3 chairs , one bbq , one lawn mower and one tv So I still don't get why it cost us this much time and money. Yes we were in unfortunate state that the spot in front was taken. That for sure slowed things down, but not 4-5 hours extra. Yes I made the stupid move to watch my kids around 6 pm instead of watching them for entire time so I let them do the download on their own. Did the download actually took from 3 to 8 pm no breaks?! I would like to believe they were truthful. I tried to resolve this with Kevin privately. . We ageeed that the guys worked hard and took only their claimed 30 min break! I raised the issue of lack of management and proper estimates and that needs to be fixed and for that I need to be compensated. He offered me future discount for a future move !!!! (Which basically is a very pretend polite way of dismissing me) I moved with this company 20'years ago. I was happy enough. That's why I went to them this time.
