Super kind and they listened attentively to all requests and concerns while they efficiently moved. Great communicators. If you have any delicate furnitures, do ensure that the movers wrap it with additional blankets and wrap them securely with tape/saran wrap. Several ladies (zella, kathy, brenda) who helped me reserve movers initially and handle post-move discussions were very professional, respectful, and responsive. They want to provide good service to their customers and retain customers and it really showed in many ways!! Ue the coupon from yelp for discount. They accept it. Thank you for a great service and for making it a smooth moving experience. Recommended!!!!

What we got was 2 movers arriving nearly 3 hours late. Apparently even when we asked for the first appointment of the day, they still managed to book someone else before us. I still try to comprehend why we went from roughly 8 hours estimate to pack and download to 13.5…read morehours. Multiply that by 250$ Kevin the owner is not good at providing proper estimates. Very polite and I am sure he will politely respond here as he did privately. The 1/2 drive charge before and after is a cost that is being added after the fact not in original discussions. (Happened both for packing and move) After my correspondence with him on the extra hours he turned the blame on me that the packing was not done right (unorganized) and the van was parked a bit further away from entry for download. As per packing, his own team were involved in packing majority of our stuff. They spent 5 hours the week before. Furthermore the big portion of our stuff was already stored in their pod since July. Yes They were still many boxes left in our house but very little furniture to move: - piano, dining table, 3 disassembled beds, 1 sofa, 1 coffee table, 2 bed side tables, 2 book shelves, one drawer, 3 chairs , one bbq , one lawn mower and one tv So I still don't get why it cost us this much time and money. Yes we were in unfortunate state that the spot in front was taken. That for sure slowed things down, but not 4-5 hours extra. Yes I made the stupid move to watch my kids around 6 pm instead of watching them for entire time so I let them do the download on their own. Did the download actually took from 3 to 8 pm no breaks?! I would like to believe they were truthful. I tried to resolve this with Kevin privately. . We ageeed that the guys worked hard and took only their claimed 30 min break! I raised the issue of lack of management and proper estimates and that needs to be fixed and for that I need to be compensated. He offered me future discount for a future move !!!! (Which basically is a very pretend polite way of dismissing me) I moved with this company 20'years ago. I was happy enough. That's why I went to them this time. But I will never recommend them again as it will turn to be very costly.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!…read more I have to move every 2-5 years, and I can honestly say this was THE WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. Normally, I write positive reviews for my movers, but not this time. Unfortunately, my favorite moving company closed down after COVID, so I was forced to find someone new to move my stored belongings from North Vancouver to Los Angeles. I was all set to use PODS, but at the last minute, I found out my storage unit wouldn't allow overnight parking of the POD, and PODS doesn't have same-day drop-off/pick-up. In a panic, I called around to find an alternative. All the good companies were booked (that should have been my first clue!). The owner, Joe, who is a GREAT salesman over the phone, agreed to do the job ALL IN at $8,000 CAD. I gave him a deposit of $2,000 on a different credit card, and he sent me a picture of the receipt via text. We confirmed over text message that there would be two stops in LA: one at my apartment and one at my storage unit. This was even written on the receipt he sent me. Here is what transpired: Joe called me the week before my move, complaining about not being able to take a rental truck to the U.S. and becoming really busy, implying that this trip was getting in the way. He even asked if I could delay getting my things until August, after we agreed upon the date of July 17th, and I had changed my plane ticket to come back early to receive the truck. Upon arrival on the 17th, Joe constantly complained about his workers and let me know that he couldn't find anyone decent. He was slow and inefficient, spending a large portion of his time either answering his phone, making calls, or telling me stories about how feared and revered he was by the border agents or how badass he was when he was in the military (psychological tactics to try and make me feel intimidated). My boyfriend had to jump in and help unload the storage unit and carry things to the truck, or else we would have been there an extra 2-3 hours. After loading the truck, Joe presented me with a bill of $7600 CAD instead of the agreed $6000 CAD, adding $1200 for mileage and gas and $400 for taxes. When I questioned him, he threatened to unload the truck and leave my belongings on the road if I didn't pay. Under duress, I paid the extra $400. On the day of the move: Joe texted me at 6:39 am saying he was 5 hours out but arrived 4.5 hours late at 3:11 pm. He arrived with one other person because he couldn't find another worker with a passport and complained about having to move items himself, which he said he no longer does. Half of the items meant for my apartment were packed at the front of the van. Joe agreed to return to my apartment after the storage unit drop-off with the items he didn't want to find. Inside my apartment, he didn't have any tools to assemble my bed as promised, so I had to provide my own and help his worker, Hammas, while Joe berated him and did nothing. At the storage unit, I ended up moving half the furniture myself because Joe and Hammas were slow and unorganized. Joe stayed in the truck for the first few hours, complaining about how long it was taking. Around 7:00 pm, Joe abruptly decided to leave, citing low blood sugar, and left my furniture in the street, parking lot, and hallway. My boyfriend had to leave work to help me, and we didn't finish in time, resulting in a $100 fine for being locked in the storage facility. I have filed a credit card dispute for not completing the job, abandoning my items, not delivering items back to my apartment as agreed, attempting extortion, and the time and effort my boyfriend and I had to invest to finish the job. Save yourself the headache and find a reputable moving company. North Van Mover is not it.
