We had what on paper appeared to be a pretty easy move, but it got complicated by some Truck rental issues, and a slow elevator! However, Leyton and Will did a great job overcoming the challenges and were very friendly and hard working young guys. They worked efficiently and did a mean job of Tetris to get everything into the truck. Had a 90 mile drive but they made good time and unloaded quickly helping us get everything organized in a storage unit to just the way we wanted it. We appreciated their professionalism, cheerful demeanor, good sense of humor and hard work! Cast Iron turned a very stressful day for me of moving the contents of my 1 bedrm, 2 floor condo to a storage unit, into a day I could breathe through- they were amazing! Dom got me all set up and scheduled after an estimate. Pros: moving guys were nice Cons: overcharged, didn't provide themselves enough time so I had to help, did not get any cost shaved off for helping. I clearly asked them to pile boxes into storage in the middle with furniture around outside, and they pretty much did the opposite. One month later, I still can't access most of my stuff. It is literally stacked in the back almost to the 10' high ceiling. I was also promised that my breakables would be wrapped, but they were all moved loose with zero protection. Owner was uncommunicative and unprofessional. I tried complaining, owner told me he doesn't deal with that kind of stuff and tried to push it onto his associates. Terrible, terrible experience. Scheduled Cast Iron to decrease the stress of moving furniture Bellingham to Ferndale. Organizational skills regarding scheduling led to irritation and stress day of move. Arrangements for my January 2023 move started in November 2022, providing plenty of time for scheduling of workers. The details were confirmed several times by message, text, and phone call. Morning of move, workers reported to be sick and unable to attend, a scramble to schedule new workers, scheduler confusion regarding projects, reported workers were in place. Two guys were able to complete the project, arrived late. In entirety, including travel, project time ~75 minutes. The guys were friendly and ensured safe packing. Just a few small scratches to walls in apartment building. Would I schedule again and recommend? Undecided. Probably. Hoping that this is my final move. read more

I was in a bit of a jam. I was moving from out of state onto the 5th floor of an apartment building and when I arrived the elevator was not working. My family worked for hours trying to get our essentials up to the fifth floor but it was impossible to get the majority of our stuff. When I needed to move some antique furniture and a piano, these were the folks I called. Glad I did. In the past, I enlisted Cast Iron Moving to move another piano (a heavy old upright) down a flight of stairs that included two bends, and they did a great job. Of course I called them again! This time I needed a 6x12 Uhaul trailer loaded for a 350 mile trip. When I arrived at my destination and offloaded, not one piece of furniture was damaged at all. No scuffs, scratches, dings. Oh, yeah, there was also a motorcycle, carefully fitted in next to the Cherry bedroom set. The two men that did the loading were friendly and personable in addition to being skilled at their jobs. Hired this company to help me move my things into storage while I coordinate a move to Canada. After confirming several times days in advance, day of rolls around and no one shows up. We call Dominick for help who gave us the movers number (Morgan) to contact him ourselves. He claimed he had no idea where his own employee was and left it to us to track him down. We called Morgan repeatedly and he NEVER once answered our calls. When we called Dominick back he sounded incredibly intoxicated and asked me if I was ever going to calm down. I told him no, I won't calm down until the movers arrive. At this point, we had been waiting over an hour for Morgan with still no word from him and no help from Dominick. I asked Dominick if he usually treats his customers this unprofessionally and he began SCREAMING obscenities at me. We finally told them not to bother, to cancel our services. Several days later, Dominick sent strange text messages to us claiming that their cellphone had been down & stolen, presumably as an attempt to cover up the disgusting communication we received from this company. We asked to see the police report as proof and they were unable to produce it. Bottom line, this company is not reliable, will not show up to scheduled appointments, and will lie and gaslight it's customers to avoid taking responsibility for their despicable business practices. read more

I have used these guys for two separate moves, one a couple years ago and one just now...Why? BECAUSE THEY ARE GREAT!!! Moving is stressful. These guys assured me that they'd get it all done, no problem! And they did! They showed up on time, worked their butts off and are so professional and polite. Nothing was damaged and one of the guys even drove me, in his car, back to our apartment because I left the storage garage key there like an idiot. They are REALLY NICE and, most importantly, they go over and above to get the job done RIGHT and make sure to listen to what you need AND they make great suggestions since they've done this before so they really do know what they're doing.
