Lightning-fast replies, proactive confirmations (yes, they texted me a few days before!), and an overall sense that someone competent had my back every step of the way. The movers showed up on time--and in this day and age, that's basically a magic trick. Polite, efficient, and so quiet I barely noticed my couch was flying out the door. The initial home assessment was going to be 3_4 hrs top. On the day of the move an emergency had arose and one of their regular guy couldn't make it so we had to with another guy. Between having the regular mover explaining how to move things and his lazy pace the entire move for a single condo cost me more than $700 when it should have costed me about $500. Max. On top of that he charge me another 1.5% due to that they didn't know of the new location until the day of the move! The general manager obviously didn't update them and I had to pay as a result. I was upset for the service and lack of professionalism. The temp guy should have known that he was paid by hour and shouldn't be on his mobile while he was walking back and forth to the truck, very slowly. I moved before and used 2 younger guys in their 20's and the entire move was twice the distance and took less than 2 Hrs. These guys are close to 50s. You be the judge. I emailed the general manager and explained to him that I was disappointed because service was great from the beginning. Charging that amount for a small move and within about 20 blocks is ridiculous. Well I never received an apology nor a response. I guess they could careless after they walked of off with the cash. First things first, the two guys who showed up were perfectly nice. They showed up on time and didn't bat an eye when our flat was still rather chaotic on the morning of the move. So that was good. However, I was slightly horrified that they didn't bother to wrap our furniture in moving blankets before loading the pieces onto handcarts. I watched as piece after piece of fragile, expensive furniture was carted away unwrapped including a coffee table we had shipped from the UK and a teak sideboard that was our wedding gift. Both my husband and I were too nice to say anything to the movers but in retrospect, we should have especially since it was raining outside and pieces got wet. We would have wrapped key pieces ourselves had we known they wouldn't be wrapped by the movers. We underestimated the time needed for the move - our fault - and asked if the movers could stick around another hour. They agreed. However, it turned out that they had been promised a last-minute job if they could get across town by a certain (unrealistic) time. As a result, they were rushing so quickly that they broke several plastic boxes that they stacked together. Since they were in such a rush to leave, we paid them with a pretty generous tip and said our good-byes. Unfortunately, it was after they left that we realized these boxes had been broken. I know that they use different teams to move so this review really is only for the team we had. That said, as a small business owner myself, I wouldn't be very happy if customers were experiencing subpar service under my branding.

This was great and I wish more companies offered it. We had three packers for three hours the first day which was speedy and efficient. Both days they arrived early which I really appreciated. The second day we had three movers, however they moved a bit slower than I would have liked. One of three of the workers stayed in the truck the entire time and did not rotate with the other workers, who started showing signs of fatigue after several hours (understandable). I understand getting tired, but towards the end of their work my instructions were not followed and boxes were placed haphazardly on our first and second floor rather than where I asked them to be. It took them almost two hours to get from our old to our new place, during which time they mentioned stopping for food and water (but I was charged the full time). I want these guys to get a break and asked if they would get one, but never got a clear answer, and I think I paid for all the time anyways. All and all, we enjoyed using this service and would recommend it for anyone tackling a big move in Vancouver. For us it was a set of 23 large, 2 extra large, and one dolly - along with some extra wrapping paper and a mattress protector. These items were indispensable and made packing, and moving, a breeze. As arranged, they were delivered early in the day, two days prior to the move. Move day couldn't have been more relaxed! The BungoBox team of two arrived right on time, wrapped all the furniture in blankets, and ensured everything was secured inside the truck. I will admit, I was anxious about where they would park as the two buildings did not have loading areas and the receiving end was located in a very busy part of the university. The lead mover reassured me that this was not a concern, they deal with this all the time. Sure enough, they arrived at the new apartment, parked the moving truck like the pros they are, and delivered all of our child's belongs without a single scratch! The moving containers were a 7 day rental, so we took some time over the next day or two unpacking, then simply let BungoBox know and the boxes were quickly picked up again. We are happy to say that we would not hesitate in recommending BungoBox to anyone moving in and around Vancouver. Their service is friendly and very professional. This was a very last-minute move but they were able to schedule us in quickly, were super responsive, and very accommodating of our schedules. The boxes were absolutely a godsend. We had bungobox movers do the bulk of the move but we continued to use and re-use the boxes afterwards to cart the rest of our junk over bit by bit. They loaded into the car easier than standard boxes, the cart that comes with them makes them very easy to roll around even fully packed with heavy items, they stood up to a lot more punishment than cardboard ever would, and they were generally just easier to pick up and move around because of the handles and lids. Of course being environmentally friendly is a huge bonus as well. As for the move itself, I can honestly say I'd never do it myself ever again. The movers were on time, professional, friendly, and SO FAST. They're definitely pros. They took great care to wrap and/or tape up all my furniture and even my many awkward glass-top tables. I don't think a single item was damaged or broken. If I could give bungobox more stars I would.
