I just had my first visit from Bulwark. My technicians name was Jeff and he was awesome! We just moved into a new house and found that we had also aquired some new "special" friends.....After getting the referral from our realtor to call Bulwark yesterday, I did and Jeff was at my door at 8:00 this morning! He was polite, kind, insisted on removing his shoes before coming in the house, asked me what my specific concerns were, did a full walk through both inside and out to see what he was dealing with and after explaining to me (fully) what he was going to do he proceeded to help me to do what it took to get rid of my pesky new little friends. Once he was done, Jeff went over everything again with me, told me he expected to see an elevation over the next 7-10 days as the treatment would help to draw out what was here and insisted that if I saw anything, even one thing after that to call him and assured me that he would not be offended at all to come back and re-treat. He also explained the call I would get prior to the regular, every 2 month service whicht I had agreed to. What more could I ask for? I signed up to a one year maintenance contract, gave them a credit card to charge when they came out each time so there would not be any errors in billing and felt much "safer" once Jeff left. I contacted Bulwark in Austin in September 2015 because I had moved into a home in South East Austin with a major roach infestation. I told them I had both brown and black German roaches, spiders and ants in the house. I had tried traps, Raid, and other from the store remedies with little effect. I kept the house extremely clean and still killed 10-30 roaches every time I walked into the kitchen. After my first appointment with Bulwark I saw an immediate improvement. All the ants disappeared, even the wasps outside the house vanished. I didn't see spiders at all. The roaches went from a level of 10 to maybe a 5 after the first visit but a major infestation takes time to eliminate. Bulwark followed up with me every week and treated the house, by November I barely saw any roach activity and in 4 months Bulwark won the battle over the roach infestation. 90 percent of any job is showing up, and Bulwark representatives never missed an appointment. Every person that showed up at my house was professional, clean and polite. On the phone Bulwark representatives always answered the line, and spoke to me with the upmost respect. Landon came out to service my home after recently moving in and he did a great and thorough job. He answered all of my questions and was very respectful. I had used Bulwark at my previous apartment when we moved in and discovered it was heavily infested with roaches (which we soon learned that as a renter we were responsible for paying for and setting up pest control, love this world of ours by the way). Bulwark did a great job at our old apartment and I was glad to see that for our new home they continued to do a great job. Landon stood out to me this last visit because I found scorpions lurking about and he was able to fill me in on how they can infiltrate homes and tips on how to prevent future invasions. Also, this company is great because if you see "x" pest after a treatment, they come back out for free of charge and treat the house again. This saves me such a headache from my wife. She would get upset about finding a lone roach at the old place and I would call them up, they would treat the area, wife is happy, roaches are gone, my life is that much better. We have used Bulwark for 5 years now. In 2007, we were remodeling our kitchen and had scorpions dropping down into our living area, wife was about to have our second kid. I was in trouble. Bulwark came in and saved my bacon. I grew up in east Texas with huge roaches that would make it in the house from the trees. I did not want my kids growing up with pests coming and going in our house. I acknowledge that I am not consistent enough to manage spraying around our perimeter. This review is strictly for my technician Travis. When I first called Bulwark out, I was having an atrocious ant problem with my new construction home. Ants were swarming by the tens of thousands. Obviously, the first treatment was not enough. I called Bulwark to come back out to do a follow up. The first three times were with different technicians who did not really listen to the situation and just did a general repeat spray. I had to call every week and insist that they come back out because these ants were taking over our life. Finally, I got Travis as my technician and what a difference! He genuinely cared about our issue and tailored a multifaceted approach to take care of the ants. He also automatically set up 4 follow ups for him to personally come back and hit it hard. This is the first time we have seen a drastic decrease and I am so thankful to have him as our technician. I am confident that after a couple more visits we will have it completely under control. I had my first treatment yesterday afternoon, this morning a woke up to some critter casualties, and happy about it! I'm sure it will continue,... I leased half a duplex and the guy took a generous amount of the deposit and 1st month rent for me to do all the cleaning and painting, anyways..., as I move the fridge back to clean I'm shocked by a pile of maybe 300-400 dead roaches and others still alive! So I call these guys and they come as soon as I was ready! The tech was super nice and got every place in the house and yard, including under my decks. But the best part was when I showed him the roach graveyard behind my fridge an told him how terrified I was to sweep it all up, he quickly said he would do it and grabbed a bucket outta the truck and took them away for me!! I was so thankful for that, anyways I can't say much about my pests yet bc I just got it, but I feel confident I can sleep with the lights off soon!! Thank you so much :)) read more

This company has deceptive sales practices. When I signed up more than a year ago I was pitched a service that would be five times per year plus any issues in between would be covered. They came out for service in February but I have wasps nests in my back porch right now. I call to have it serviced and I was told it would be extra charge because it is outside the "60 day warranty" period. This is the first time I am hearing of this and was not what I was told when the salesperson pitched the service. When I said this to their representative Samantha, she reiterated the warranty information. When I asked to speak to a cancellation person she said I am good and to have a nice day. They obviously don't value their clients. Do yourself a favor and take your business to a more ethical place. I just moved into a house and in the past 2 weeks of moving in have noticed a millipede problem and occasional spiders. The home backs to a greenbelt and the prior owners told me they needed pest control for scorpions as well. My neighbor recommended Bulwark and I happened to purchase an Angie's list deal from there 2 days before talking to my neighbor. Andy with Bulwark just left my home and was completely professional and answered all questions I had about pest control. He treated the whole perimeter including the inside and attics and took his time to ensure complete coverage. I cant attest to the effectiveness of the pest control as today was the first treatment but I am happy with the promptness and professional attention I received today and would recommend them just based on that initial visit. I used Bulwark while living in a rental home after moving from California. They were excellent with service and provided outstanding control of insects and other pests. When I purchased a home, I made the mistake of going with the service the prior owners used. The service told us there was a mouse problem they knew of, and there would be no way to eliminate scorpions. They never attempted to treat the mouse problem even after promising to bring bait. After a couple of months of mediocre results, I called Bulwark to get service at the new house. As usual, they were prompt, spent an enourmous amount of time at the house treating both inside and out and promised to rid our home of the scorpion and mouse problem. When a competing extermination company canceled on me the day before my scheduled service (after I had already waited days for an appointment), I frantically searched the Internet to find someone else. When I called Bulwark, the first thing the rep did, before even scheduling an appointment, was to let me know what treatment they would provide for my flea infestation and what I needed to do to prepare. I decided right then that it didn't't matter how long I'd need to wait for an appointment, I'd do it. I was shocked when he said they'd get a tech out the next morning. Weaver showed up at 8:00 on the dot (I was given a window of 8-10) and thoroughly explained again what treatment he'd provide. Caleb R. did a super job today. He was very thorough and very patient. I know he was tired, because he was sent out to clients far and near, and still had another call before he could finish his day. He greeted my dog [big points there] and was pleasant throughout. This is not my first experience with extermination companies, and what I look for is more than just what is on the contract. e.g.: How can I help you? What are your concerns? As a person who is allergic to wasp and hornet stings, it mattered a lot to me that he "got it." There was a bit of confusion in the office since I initially contacted them on a holiday weekend, but all were polite as we got it all organized. I Called Bulwark to help me get rid of ants in my house and they were there the next day. Ricardo A. arrived promptly at our designated time with his assistant. They listened to our concerns and gave us options on how we would like to treat inside and out. He also correctly identified the type of ant we were invaded with. Ricardo was very professional in his approach and even cleared the mud dobbers , wasp nests and spider webs that were on the outside porches. He also volunteered to make an appointment to come back next week to make sure we were clear of ants as I have been trying to get rid of them for three months while using a different company. Let me start by letting you know that I had stooped my service with Bullwark for over 2 years. Then I met Kyle who works with Bullwark. After a few minutes of talking with him, I was convinced to restart my service with Bullwark. He is all about customer service and ensuring that the customers needs are met. He is not in a rush and ask you what issues you are having and addressed those problems. I made contact with Bullwark and asked that Kyle be the only one to service my residence as well as my mom's property. If you are in need of pesticide service. We've used Bulwark for several years, starting when my California raised wife saw her first Texas roach. She couldn't believe it, having never seen anything like that while living in Santa Monica. Randy Schulle has taken outstanding care of us, making certain the full exterior is taken care of to keep the critters out. Since he started we've never seen a bug of ANY kind in the house. I was concerned about the toxicity of the repellant utilized because we have Lasa Apsos that are my wife's pride and joy. e explauined that it was n't toxic to anything but the bugs. Tech Tim O. came out to spray our house today. We just moved into our house & I have been seeing roaches at night- NOT a good feeling when you just move in somewhere. Tim arrived on time for our appointment, & even called to let me know he was on his way. I was actually running late, so he sprayed the outside of the house until I could get home. When I arrived (late), we was nothing but friendly. He took the time to ask about what we have been seeing & where. He was very through & professional, but with a personal touch. He played with our dog- who is now a big fan of Tim!!! I can't say enough about how much I appreciate the professional service today.
