Timeliness, value, quality are the things that come to mind. We had a 2nd floor master bath total remodel completed in June 2026. Eitan's team did a very good job. The team was hard working, considerate, and did quality work. I got 4 bids for this job. Eitan was not the cheapest nor the most expensive but I believe his pricing was fair and competitive and in the end of good value. His contract was comprehensive and the payment schedule was keyed by major job accomplishments. Eitan took care of obtaining the building permit from the county and was present at every inspection. The team started the job by covering all exposed floors and stairs in heavy paper that provided protection during demolition and construction. Eitan was on site almost everyday and was always available via text or phone. He went with us before construction to pick out materials or recommended suppliers. Eitan picked up all material that was purchased locally so I didn't have to worry about that. Eitan was flexible in that he was always ready to make minor changes, such as location of plugs, lights, and switches. He also had modifications made to the vanity that was about 1" to long for the space. It looks custom made for the space. Extra work was involved because we had a pocket door installed to replace a swinging door but it came out nice and we now have more usable space in the room. At completion the team removed all floor covering and left the job site looking good. Eitan estimated 3 weeks for the job and that's what it took. I would recommend Build the Bay to anyone looking for a quality team and a quality job. read more

I found Build the Bay through Angi's List and I'm so glad we went with them for our bathroom update/remodel! Working with Eitan and his team was like night and day compared to other contractors I have worked with in the past. Specifically what I appreciated is that he treated me with respect and would take the time to explain in layman's terms what was needed. (I'm not a construction pro by any means.) Eitan even shared a list of vendors that he has worked with in the past for materials and finishes, as well as a checklist to ensure I ordered all the finishing pieces in time. He would even be willing to review any products I was interested in to let me know if it was good quality. It's only normal for unexpected issues to come up during construction, and what was also great is how communicative Eitan and his team were with me. They would quickly let me know what the issue was, explain what my options were, the cost for each, and what those options would mean in the long run. Eitan always responded very promptly via email or text if I had any questions or requested any updates. Our project has been done for about a month now and I have to say that I strongly feel like Eitan and his team delivered high quality bathrooms in a timely manner. I would definitely reach out to the Build the Bay team again if we needed to do work on our home again. Overview of our project: Primary bathroom extension and remodel Primary bathroom pocket door install Hallway bathroom refresh Front door replacement Added multiple outdoor outlets (we previously had none) Materials: Tile: All Natural Stone (SJ location) Cabinets & Countertop: Pacific Home Decor LED Mirrors & Paint: Home Depot Just about everything else: Build.com Design: Myself read more

We discovered Eitan through a referral of a referral. We interviewed several contractors and Eitan was my top choice. Eitan was the only contractor to come to my house with the plans printed on the first site visit. Every contractor says they've already looked the plans, but I think Eitan was the only one who actually reviewed our plans prior to visiting. He asked great questions to get an understanding of the scope and noticed minor discrepancies in the plans that I had overlooked. Honestly I was extremely impressed by his attention to detail in the planning phase and it gave me confidence that he would be just as detailed and thorough with the end product. Eitan was also the most responsive of all the contractors we interviewed. When he says he'll send over the bid next week, it's actually in your inbox when he says. You don't need to send him a reminder email following up or chase him for a reply. From our interactions, I know he runs a tight ship. If there are any bottlenecks in your home renovation, it won't be because of Eitan or his crew. Pricing-wise, his bid was very competitive. We ultimately decided to go with a family friend, but I sort of expect the project to go poorly and that we'll return back to Eitan to fix the mess and see the project through completion. Hopefully he'll still accept us as clients!!! read more

Build The Bay remodeled our bathroom and downstairs living room. Eitan came highly recommended by a neighbor who also had work completed by his company. The employees do exceptional work, being very detailed and any problems we encountered were resolved by Eitan and his team. A short time after the completion of our initial projects we decided to have Build The Bay also remodel our kitchen. The final product was more than we could have imagined. Suggestions made by Eitan and his foreman Jesus were incorporated into the project. The group of workers are very hard working and Eitan often went out of his way to obtain parts and supplies. We were overall very pleased with everything Build The Bay did and look forward to future projects with Eitan and company. read more

My project involved full remodel of 1 large master bath (200 sq ft) and some fixture, paint and light work in 2 other bathrooms. I am so happy that I found Eitan and Build the Bay to do the job. Eitan was very professional from day 1, offered me the best price in the Bay Area and helped me pick the parts and fixtures. He is very knowledgeable and has good taste for designing bathrooms. Scope of work: 1. Moved the location of the kitchen 2. Broke few walls 3. Changed the flooring 4. Combined 2 bedrooms to build a new master bedroom with a walk in closet and a new bathroom. 5. Changed entire ducting 6. Level 5 smooth wall texture and painting Shortlist process: I met with at least 20+ contractors and finally shortlisted my top 5 based on pricing and online reviews. Build the Bay was one of them. We finalized on Build the Bay (Eitan) based on our interactions with him at some other job site. We noticed his attention to detail and work ethics and he came across as an honest man who did not make excuses but gave logical explanation for every question we asked. On top of it, in terms of pricing he was in the top3. Workmanship: Eitan has a great team of men. His main man, Jesus was also great to work with and has an excellent attitude. 1. Punctuality and communication - We had a whatsapp group where Eitan always communicated when his men would come for work and he would also promptly answer any questions we had for him. He pushed us to ensure we were on top of providing materials so that they would not miss the dates they had promised on delivering the project. Eventually despite some delays on our end to procure finish materials, they finished within 3 months, as committed at the start. 2. Cleanliness - We stayed at home during the entire construction, but we never had any issues. The crew always made sure they cleaned up the work area before they left. 3. Honesty - What struck us the most was the honesty towards their work. There were a couple occasions when Jesus himself informed us about certain imperfections in the quality of the work due to which he was going to redo it. Frankly I had not even noticed the issues myself. But that clearly showed how much they cared about the quality. Eitan also came across as a very honest person. There were few occasions when we only had a verbal agreement but he always remembered it and honored it. 4. Great team - On a day to day basis you interact with the team, so it is important for them to be likeable. Jesus and his men are simply the best and very jolly and knowledgeable people. 5. Eitan went out of the way with some material pick ups. 6. Eitan is very knowledgeable and was able guide us in choosing materials. Also he was patient to explain any construction related technicalities which helped us make better decisions. 7. Eitan was very accommodating with our new ideas that kept coming up throughout the project. 8. Overall quality - We are very happy with the overall quality and outcome of the project. All our friends have loved the work as well and have asked for his reference. Eitan and his team will be our go to people without any hesitations for any future projects. read more

Love working with Eitan and his team lead. Excellent and timely communication in all aspects from start to end. The workers consitently show up on time and kept the working environment clean to keep dust to be minimum. Though, when working with adding new ceilings and retexture the walls, small sand dusts are every where despite the best effort to cover as much as possible. Also importantly, the original quote for labor and materials were kept as close as what was agreed despite a few modifications with the original plan along the way and the team was able to accommodate. Eitan helped me pick up cabinets at the show room, and physically pickup a few appliances at local Home Depot and Lowes that I couldn't have them deliver to my home. He was able to save me some money using his contractor's discount to purchase a few small materials. I got lots of bids for my kitchen remodeling project, Eitan's bid is not the lowest, but overall, I'm extremely glad that I didn't decide on just the cost alone. Overall, I am satisfied with the final outcome and definitely recommend Build The Bay lead by Eitan to anyone considering remodeling their kitchen. read more

Eitan and his crew at Build the Bay came highly recommended to me by my sister-in-law and her husband who used them to remodel their bathroom. Working with Eitan was a delight! He responds within minutes of text messages and phone calls. He is very reliable and a man of his word. The crew at Build the Bay remodeled our bathrooms and we couldn't be happier. The crew takes pride in their work and it shows in the final result. If something was amiss, I merely had to speak with either Eitan or Jesus and the problem would be addressed immediately. His crew was also great to work with and very accommodating. It is not often you find a contractor who is so focused on both customer service and quality of work. We were so happy with their work, we will be starting another project with them next month. I highly recommend them! read more

We had our hallway bathroom remodeled by Eitan and team near the end of 2020. I had gotten quotes from 5-6 companies. He wasn't the cheapest nor the most expensive but we decided on him right away because he came across as knowledgeable, professional, and running a tight ship. We were working with a tight deadline and I felt confident that Eitan would deliver. We had a WhatsApp group to discuss and Eitan was always very responsive. He provided us a list of recommended places to shop and also met us at the shop to provide guidance on picking out finishes and fixtures. A porta-potty was delivered before work started. His team, Flavio and Manny, showed up promptly every morning at 8 AM to work, wearing masks the whole time. They were very respectful, cleaned up after themselves everyday, and were such a pleasure to work with. Their work was beautiful, with impeccable attention to detail. We could tell that they took pride in their work! Of course, with remodeling there were some unexpected hiccups here and there, but what was important was how quickly Eitan worked to resolve them! And in the end, his team actually finished 1 day ahead of what he promised. In a world full of unreliable contractors and missed dates, it's refreshing to work with someone who operates the same way we're used to in the corporate world. I would definitely recommend Eitan's Build the Bay to any friends looking to remodel! read more

Eitan is very knowledgeable and responsive. He insists on high standard on everything and pays attention to details. He is experienced and honest, and he lets you know what can be done and what cannot. He is so different from some other contractors who just want to make profits and urge you to add unnecessary items to your project. I would recommend Eitan to anyone who cares about quality of work. read more

Eitan the owner/ contractor was professional knew what was going on at all times. He always let me know what was planned through text and phone calls when he was not on site. The workers were all great and knew what they were doing and was responsive to our needs during the time they were here. They cleaned up after themselves every night before leaving. I would hire Build the Bay again in a heartbeat! The bathroom was a complete rehaul including removing a wall that separated shower from vanity area, installed new plumbing , electrical and recessed lighting. Eitan knew what was needed and helped me with what we had to order before the work started, he estimated how long it would take from start to completely finished and it was right on even with having to take a day off due to us not being there one day unexpectedly. read more

Our neighbor had work completed by Build the Bay and recommended them to us. Eitan and his team did an outstanding job renovating our master bath. Eitan met with us a few times before the project was awarded and made suggestions that helped us with the design. We challenged the team with a number of new materials and design approaches and they took them on with interest and contributed with multiple design suggestions. It was clear to us that the team cared about the results and they took the time to insure everything was done well, even the smallest detail. Our experience with Build The Bay on our bathroom remodel project was exceptional from start to finish. The scope of this project consisted of a complete remodel of 2 bathrooms at the same time. Our expectation and the general consensus with any remodel project is that it will be a very stressful experience as the inevitable hidden issues will be discovered leading to additional costs and our project was no exception. The communication with and received from Eitan and the Build The Bay team starting with the bidding process and ending with the final inspection went a long way to reducing our stress level throughout the project. The plan was clearly communicated on a daily basis and every problem encountered came with a proposed solution with an emphasis on minimal cost impact to our budget. The daily planning and communication gave us confidence in their experience and ability to manage the entire project no matter what issue came up. This was evident from the first day taking care to mask walls & floors in order to protect every potential area that could be impacted by construction collateral damage. It was also evident that the work crew had the necessary skills to complete the many varied tasks the project required including framing, sheetrock, electrical, plumbing, tile, floors, windows, texture, paint, as well as the installation of the vanities and all of the additional finishes. The Project Manager Jesus and the entire crew were considerate of our living space and all were professional and friendly throughout the process. Upon completion of the project a deep cleaning was performed and the only evidence that remains of the entire 4 week process are 2 absolutely beautiful bathrooms constructed by Build The Bay! read more

This is my fifth remodel in 30 years and Build the Bay is by far the best. Eitan who is the contractor/owner was a delight to work with. He is clever, pays attention to detail, answers texts that I sent immediately, and strives for perfection and always a gentleman. He took me to different places to pick out everything and I found that he has a good eye for color and design. The crew is truly the finest we have ever had working here. They arrived everyday on time and greeted us with a big smile. The work you don't see is impeccable as is the work you do see. The crew leader/foreman is Jesus. He is the leader and definably knows what he is doing. Sergio, Ignacio, Javier, Yohan and Ismael are the ones that make it happen. There were ups and downs but they were worked out in a timely manner. This is the first time I didn't want the job to end. I highly recommend BUILD THE BAY. Eitan just recently remodeled our master bathroom.. a complete rip out of old materials and created a beautiful modern paradise! Eitan was friendly and professional (and safe which is important during the pandemic) and completely responsive to our ongoing requests and communication. We had a group text going with my husband and he always got back to our questions within a few minutes! My husband had a very specific and complicated shower configuration that he wanted and eitan was able to make that happen. We had some hiccups along the way, but eitan worked with us best that he could to quickly resolve the issues and was understanding to all our special accommodations during the pandemic (I am pregnant and therefore high risk). His foreman (Jesus) was excellent...Very willing to work within timing that we preffered and was also very respectful of our accomodations. Midway through the project we also added a few minor remodels to our kids bathroom which didn't seem to add too much time to our finished timeline so that was impressive and great. We will definitely work with eitan in the future, we have several other projects in mind and we know we will be taken care of! We love our new bathroom!!! read more
