I would not recommend this company, because of their misleading information and astronomical rates. I have a one bedroom apartment that is a 750sq.ft. space. Bed bugs were found in the bedroom, cost around $490. The company inspected the entire apartment and told us we only needed to spray the bedroom. They offer a 6 month warranty. We were told to not replace the area with furniture or mattresses so we didn't. A month later we now have bed bugs in the living room. The company said they would do a new inspection to access the "new cost". I asked about the warranty they stated it ONLY covers the bedroom. We aren't actively using the bedroom per their instruction. The additional cost would be around $490 a room. What a joke! There is no way to control where bed bugs will migrate too within a apartment people are currently living in. So why not treat the entire apartment up front!?! Their explanation is to keep down cost. Although I believe their rates are high! Word of advice, when a customer calls for an exterminator they expect an honest inspection with a TOTAL cost of services! I would much rather know up front what my total cost could be, so that I can make an informative decision, as opposed to a nickel-and-dime approach! Now, I'm stuck with a bed bug problem and having to hire another exterminator. This company is truly a money pit with horrible customer service and unethical practices. Anytime I needed a second round of protection because of the bugs, he would come by with no problem. The technicians - Eric, Vinny, Austin - are all highly-competent and trustworthy professionals. Another mention would be Annie, the dispatcher, who likely will be the first person you speak to over the phone. I have never spoken to a dispatcher who was more competent or more knowledgeable of the trade as Annie. I noticed a minor carpenter ant problem in my home and Jeremy made it out the same day I called to help assess and treat the problem. As social distancing is important during this pandemic, I was initially hesitant to have anyone over at my home, but, unfortunately, pests know no bounds and I didn't want to run the risk of things getting worse. Kristen, one of the customer service reps at Bug Head, put my mind at ease when she informed me that Jeremy would be wearing shoe covers, gloves and a ventilator. Not just a face mask, but a small ventilator, which I assume is used when spraying chemicals inside of homes. One morning I came across a giant roach, hoping he ran in when we had one of the doors open and that he was a lone wolf. BUT I couldn't let the panic go, so a few hours later I requested a quote from four companies through Yelp and Bug Head got back to me the fastest and with the most information! They were able to come out really quickly (only three days later) and gave us their earliest time slot. The technician was super nice and helpful, and worked really quickly! I will forever use this pest service! I had Austin, the technician, come out to help me with a wasp problem. I live by the lake, and recently, I saw what I thought were wasp nests being created. Austin actually told me that what I thought were were nests was actually the food supply, and there was only dead spiders in there. He then confirmed that I actually didn't need pest control if the wasp weren't inside the house, which they weren't. The company is not out to make a profit. They truly want to make sure that their customers are safe by focusing on the customer relationship and experience. Scheduled to have BugHead Pest Control come between 10am-12pm today. 12:15p and no one showed up. I called and spoke with a lady on the phone. She said I should have received a cancellation notice. I didn't receive anything - call or email, and changed my schedule to wait for the exterminator. She told me I was now scheduled for next Friday, 11/20. I said that doesn't work for me and I would like to cancel the appointment. She told me there would be a cancellation fee. HAHAHA, am I in crazy town? They cancelled on me without notice, made a new appointment without notice, and now want to charge a cancellation fee. April Fools is apparently in November now. No reason to ever support a business like this. read more

Finding a good pest control service is not easy. So many will push services you don't need, send out questionable characters to treat your home, and use chemicals that will curl your nose hairs. Moving to a new city, I used Yelp to find BugHead, and they did not disappoint! Austin arrived right on time (yes, ON TIME). He inspected our home, and quoted us the standard package that had already been quoted on the phone. There was no price inflation, no add on services, and no scare tactics to get us to use more expensive chemicals. In fact, when we asked about mosquito treatment, he explained the positives (not many) and negatives (a great deal). While he mentioned one of those expensive misting systems, and said he could spray for mosquitoes, he actually recommend we just plant lemon grass and sage. How many companies recommend NOT using their "added" services? This one. My kids and cats were home when he came, and before he treated, I asked if we should leave. He said no. I, honestly, was leery. I was ready to swoop up my kids at the first whiff of bug spray, but that pungent smell never materialized. We all stayed home, and I finished doing household chores while the kids played on their Nabis. And really, when I thought it couldn't get any better, I happened to show Austin some cobwebs at my front door that have been on my to-do list for a couple of weeks to remove, and he said that is part of the service! He went around the whole house and brushed away all of those nasty cobwebs. With a wave and a smile, he left. Its good to find a good pest control service. Really impressed by this business! I called to have my quarterly service scheduled for this week and was pleasantly surprised to be provided a window from 5 - 7 pm that would be compatible with my work schedule. I also asked if I could get a call 30 min ahead of time so I could leave work in time to meet the tech. The woman on the phone (Annie I believe, I am horrible with names), readily agreed. When the appointment day arrived, I received a call at 4:45pm from Annie saying that the tech was running ahead of schedule and would be at my house shortly. I told her that I was in a meeting and would leave as soon as I could (he needed to get inside my house to perform part of the service). Well, when I left , I was stopped at a train crossing for 15 minutes and subsequently stuck in traffic from an accident. At 5:30pm when i realized how long I had been holding up the tech, I called and Annie responded (from her cell since she had already left the office), I told her since the outside portion of the service had been performed just let the tech go, I didn't want to hold him up any longer. She said it was his last appt and she would relay the message but was pretty confident that he would wait. When I arrived Jeremy Hunter was there waiting, very cheerful and performed the inside service. Great experience dealing with BugHead Pest Control! If you read more of this review, great, but if this is as far as you get, go hire them now! You won't regret it! We had a carpenter ant infestation that needed eradicating. Called on Eric to come dispatch the little buggers. Every phone conversation we had with Eric was good, informative and educational. We had to do two sprays to get rid of everything (guess those ants were really digging in!). Paid for the first spray with Austin, who stayed about an hour spraying both inside the house and outside all around our property (in a suburban neighborhood). Austin was a pleasure to work with as well. He took time to educate me and answered all my questions. He also showed me where the ants were coming from and how they most likely were getting into our house (from some overhanging and touching-the-house branches of a tree that has since been cut back). The trees got sprayed too. A few days later we noticed there were still ants in the house, albeit fewer, but one call to Eric helped solve that issue. This time he sent out Vinnie (sp?) to spray a second time, I believe with a stronger bug spray (?). That did it! Had a 30-day warranty from that first spray so we didn't pay for the second spray. I called these guys back in early August to take care of some pantry moth problems we were having. The person I spoke with over the phone (to schedule a time for them to come over to inspect the problem) was very polite. Once a time was set up, they got one of their guys to come over and take a look at our kitchen, where the moths were mainly hanging out. He gave us a rundown of what type of moths they were and what in our house was attracting them to the kitchen--grains, grains, and more grains. He suggested setting up moth traps around the kitchen, and had to schedule another appointment to get those set up the next week. The next week, the same guy showed up to set up the traps. He told us that the moth count should be reduced over the next few weeks--and he was right! The traps worked. He left the invoice with us, and I told him about how I had an issue with getting the yelp code on yelp. He told me it was alright, and that payment could wait until I got the yelp issue solved, and that he would be back next week to remove the traps (he never did come back, though). Anyway, I went back and forth with yelp for weeks trying to get the yelp code situation sorted out, but unfortunately they didn't know what was up with it. I ended up calling BugHead to pay my invoice, and when I mentioned the yelp problem they gave me a discount! It made my day, and they were totally chill about it. We found these folks on Yelped when we first move to Lucas in July this year. A brand new house just seems to attract a lot of bugs right away. Austin came out and took care of business. When he left, there were critters dying all over the place. We have had a few problems with crickets and grasshoppers. A call to Bughead gets a quick response and the result is always more dead bugs. After seeing many great reviews on Yelp, I called to have my house treated for a routine pest control spraying. The lady I spoke with was very informative and answered a ton of questions I had and then we scheduled the appointment for later that week. She informed me that for the first treatment the technician would spray outside and inside the home and subsequent visits every three months would just be the outside. The day before the appointment I received bad news that I needed to go out of town for, so I called Bug Head and left a message that I would need to reschedule because I wouldn't be home for them to spray inside. This was about 24 hour notice and I never heard back from them until after the appointment time the next day. I received a voicemail stating they hadn't heard my message until after the tech was already at my house so he went ahead and sprayed the outside and would come back when I scheduled for the inside. Just a few days later I called and left a message and was not contacted back. Since then, (this was a few weeks ago) I have called a couple times and always received their voicemail no matter the time of day Monday-Friday and no one calls me back. I really want to give this company a chance because everyone has had great things to say and I haven't necessarily had a bad experience, I just need to be able to speak with someone about services and know that what I'm paying for is what I'm told I will receive... read more

These guys rock! We heard raccoons in our attic (and even saw them looking out the attic vent they must have entered through) and turned to Yelp. You never know... but we totally lucked out finding these guys. They met us late after work and setup traps. After 2 days there were no sounds and no raccoons. Must have moved on! BugHead came and removed the traps- no charge since no animal! One day later we thought our furry friends were back and asked BugHead back out. Again they crawled all throughout my attic and verified that there could only be one entry point. There were no raccoons there at the time so we decided to seal up the entry. Before any work was done they told me all the different options and pricing. They went right to work and were out in less than 30 min. It was well worth the ridiculously reasonable cost, and I'm confident that THIS summer we won't be having any more unwanted guests.
