Then, 30--10 TNT Buffalo and 20 TNT bbq. The 50 had TNT AND med. buffalo, The 30 had all TNT Buffalo. No TNT bbq They did make us the TNT BBQ. The sauce is not the same as it used to be. This is the experience that we have had for the past 3 years. I'm not sure if they have different owners or management. It's not the same wing place that we loved. This is my first time writing a yelp review because I have never been this disappointed in a restaurant experience. I've gone to BuffaLouie's many times throughout my stay in Bloomington. I have noticed their quality going downhill and prices continuing to go up. The final nail in the coffin was being made aware how the owners have been treating their staff behind closed doors. I am honestly shocked that I overheard Ed (the owner) verbally harassing his staff behind the counter while they were clearly understaffed and trying their best. Food is good, they have many healthy options and the owners are very friendly as is the staff. Décor is typical Hoosier sports theme and the dining area spreads across many levels and can accommodate intimate dining or large groups or families. We ordered and it took over 22 minutes for us to receive our food, and when we got it all the food was just slightly warm. It tasted good, but the temperature of the food was poor like it had been sitting around for 10 minutes before anyone brought it out. We has gotten 15 wings (sweet bbq and hot garlic), order of curly fries, and cheesy garlic bread with tomato. Tried Buffa Louie's today for the first time. Easier to get in and get a seat now that IU is on Summer break. Very cool inside with a ton of IU and Big Ten memorabilia on the walls and the ceiling. You order at the counter and they hand you your drinks. Then they call your name when your order is ready. You wave them down and they bring it to you. Plenty of seating although many of the tables have high benches and stools. Be careful on the dismount if you have had a beer or two. I ordered chicken tenders with tater tots. The sauces I ordered were the medium BBQ and the teriyaki. My partner ordered a side salad and the mac with chicken. We each had a beer, they have some nice choices on tap. I had the Bloomington Brewing Quarryman IPA and Jean had some kind of Scottish ale. Service at the counter was fast and friendly and since it was our first time there, we had questions which were patiently and thoughtfully answered. The food arrived hot and there was plenty of it. I enjoyed the chicken tenders and tots, but was not wild about either of my sauce choices. The medium BBQ sauce is basically Buffalo sauce and was a bit too salty for me. The teriyaki sauce was okay, just not to my taste. The tots were perfect though and seriously the best chicken I have had in a long time. Jean enjoyed her salad and her mac and chicken. She said the chicken was especially good. Staff came over to make sure we were enjoying our meal and to see if we needed anything. A bit later, a different staffer came by to grab our empty plates. It was nice, no hovering but efficient and friendly service. A cool side note, a few IU Football coaches came in with a potential recruit and his parents. The kid seemed to enjoy the Hoosier bling all over the walls and looked to be enjoying his food too. GO BIG RED! All in all, Buffa Louie's is legit. This place has the best wings in Bloomington! I always stop by in here whenever I'm in the area. I like the sports vibe and the history of Indiana sports on the walls. My favorite (boneless) wing spot! The fries are served in generous portions and are so tasty. The wings come in a huge array of flavors that you add and they make to order. I prefer the honey garlic! Got a small takeout order when they weren't very busy. Waited an hour for food, while multiple groups who came in behind us were served 20 minutes before us. All of our food was cold, except the coleslaw, which was slightly warm. Wings were tiny (photo of the smallest one of our 15 attached, with quarter for scale). The rest weren't a lot larger. Sauce was "medium barbecue" but tasted like they took pre-sauced buffalo wings and then put bbq sauce on them too (not a good flavor). The meat itself was a bad texture and tasted terrible, basically inedible overall. Curly fries were cold, green, and completely inedible. Sweet potato fries were edible cold, but even ignoring the temperature they weren't very good for sweet potato fries. Coleslaw was fine.
