WORST experience for food and customer service I have ever encountered. GM hung up on me instead of discussing their errors and never even apologized. They took a delivery order when had no delivery method and never contacted to let us know. When I called to check on my order I was told. The food had been sitting for 30 min already. They "found" a way to get a doordash driver and said they would remake my food as requested since it had been sitting. When it arrived everything was hard as a rock and dried up as it had obviously been thrown back in the fryer a second time. The wings were black! And literally hard as rocks! Completely inedible. The GM wouldnt even discuss it and told me he didnt have time to deal with it and would tell the owner and hung up on me when I asked for a refund. I called back and was hung up on again after he called me HONEY! I called back the next day to ask about my $100 refund for food that ALL had to be thrown out and was told the owner said he wouldnt authorize a refund! What!? This is horrible customer service! Ate here for the first time tonight, and while the wing were big and a good portion, the wing sauces we chose were straight out of a bottle. Just didn't taste good and had a little bit of a chemical taste to it. Also ordered the truffle fries and for almost $6, all I got was the tiniest little box of fries with hardly any seasoning on it at all. They looked plain. Disappointed that I didn't really get to try what I saw on the menu. Fries were crispy though so that was good. Blue cheese is out of the bottle as I'm sure is the ranch, but the ranch had a pretty decent flavor. Considering the price I paid for all of this and the lack of good flavor, I just won't be back. The wings are not my cup of tea but I can see their appeal and honestly I prefer their bacon cheeseburger instead! The beef is pretty top notch and the entire meal is enough to fill my appetite completely... all for like $6 or $7 and some change. The appetizers are oddly decent even though they are obviously bland freezer to fryer items mostly. This review covers both of my visits this month. I dined in on my first visit. There were six customers for the friday night dinner rush. Two customers were dining in the store. I told her to check the order before walking out of the store. She forgot. Upon receipt of my recon meal, the wings were warm and well sauced with my correctly transcribed "go to" medium buffalo. The tater tots were served in a boat. The outer wrapping was moist from the steam but the tots were crispy and terrific. Everyone that has served me in this joint deserves a raise. My boyfriend loved it. BDUBS is overrated and every time we've been to Buffa Louie's, the wings had been cold. It's nice having fresh, hot wings. I'm not sure if he asked us if we wanted ranch or celery, but neither of us like ranch or celery so it was fine. I loved the honey bbq sauce. The hot bbq sauce was ridiculous spicy! So far I would have to say this is probably my preferred wing place in Bloomington. Their wings have always been on-par and fresh when I've ordered and picked them up. Doesn't taste like they've been dried out from being cooked and then re-cooked to order. You can tell that they're cooked to order, which is awesome (even if it isn't, good job making it seem like it is). Their wings are big and the sauces are awesome, maybe they aren't home made like Buffa Louis, which I also think are a close second to my love for Wings. Wings Xtreme U have decent prices, and on a more frequent occasion I've always gotten an extra wing in my 5 wing order. It's almost as exciting as finding a copious amount of baggler fries in the bottom of your McDonald's bag. Couple of tips that I've learned over time. It seems like calling in your order opposed to putting it in online is cheaper because they charge a fee for ordering online. If you want the wings fresh, and don't want a wait time - just go pick the up yourself if you can. If you're lucky they may throw in an extra wing with your order, and they let you pick more than one sauce for every 5-6 wings. Also, if you're planning on eating at the location - I wouldn't say it has the biggest space or coolest environment. They're more of a take-out kind of place. If you're looking for a great sit-down wing place then I would suggest Buffa Louis. read more

Needed a late night bite after a late Indiana football game. Since we were from out of town, a simple Internet search showed this location was close to the stadium, and open late. I called twice, still clinging onto hope that I could munch into delicious buffalo wings before the clock struck midnight, only to be put on hold and never acknowledged. Now, indigestion caused by my poor digestive system will keep me up until at least 4 AM, and my sleep schedule will be all out of wack. To top it all off, as I was waiting outside, desperate for the fruits of Buffalouie's lesser, little brother, a Wings Xtreme car finally pulled into the driveway. I ran to the car, unable to reign in my joy, when the driver handed me a drink. I did not order a drink. My heart sank, and my already rumbling stomach churned ever further. As I told him the drink wasn't mine, my friend came up from behind me to tell me that the order was his. Defeated, I asked the driver if he had another order. He did not. For a second, I blacked out. So I'll start out by saying I worked here for almost 9 years. Started out as a delivery driver and ended as a manager. So I'm sure you'll notice all the negative reviews about about poor customer service, so here's why. When you deal with customers that are basically all 18-24 years of age there is an entitlement mentality. They think that no matter what the issue is that whatever they want to make it better should happen. Not the case. 1. If you get a delivery and you don't get your drink then no you don't get a free meal, not how that works. They will deliver it back to you but will usually give you a credit so you get a free drink next order. 2. If you yell or curse at the staff yes they will hang up on you or if in store will ask you to leave because you are not 5 years old it can be dealt with as an adult. If you continue on yelling or call the police because you didn't get your way you will not be ordering in the future even though most will try to order again. 3. If they deliver to you and you do not answer the door or your phone that is NOT their fault. When you call back an hour later and they redeliver your food it will not be HOT anymore and it's not their fault! 4. If you are told you are getting a really hot sauce and then you ask for new wings with a milder sauce because yours was too hot, expect to PAY for the new food. You were warned and you did it anyway! Don't order that next time! 5. This is not a full service dine in. Throw your trash away and if you need a refill of a drink go to counter rather than getting mad they didn't come out to you! 6. When you get wings the bone or veins in the chicken can be pink, they do not change colors. So if it is not the meat that is pink it is fine to eat! 7. Delivery of wings is hard. Sauce is hard to be contained and fries are HARD to keep fresh for delivery. Also they cook your food as the ticket gets to the front. It is not Jimmy Johns. So if you are told a 45 minute delivery time it will probably be close to that. If it is longer the 45 minutes is an ESTIMATE not a guarantee. If it is there quicker than that don't complain it came to quick and you were in the shower (I promise you it happens!) Lastly. This is not a corporate business. When you ask for corporate number you will be told to talk to the manager on duty, and as everyone else the managers have bad days too. If you feel they are being rude then talk to the GM on his next shift who has been there for the last couple months. You can express your concerns but he will not necessarily give you what you want if you are being unreasonable but he knows the ins and outs and will be fair as he has built this place up with the owner in the past and is back! :) Oh yeah, the food is good and the staff is usually pretty cool and laid back!
