Stopped on our way back to Indy because we had an Italian crave. Once in then restaurant we switched over from pasta to pizza. The restaurant is convenient to the highway and a little unexpected on appearance. It does have that Puccini's vibe, but the menu and crafting of the food is different. We loved the salads. The house dressing was light and fresh. The cheese garlic bread was excellent: be ready for crunchy chunks of garlic in melty cheese on good bread. We got two of medium pizzas. One was a potato, bacon, white sauce. This was really good. The other was a meaty thing. The pepperoni on the pizza was good (I am a pepperoni fan). Service was quick and easy. read more

One of the options for Devour Bloomington, we decided to try it out. Must be a sister restaurant to Puccini's in Indianapolis (same graphics and print used on menu, etc). For $30 we had an appetizer to share (spinach artichoke dip), two pastas (rosemary cream chicken and shrimp diavolo), 2 side salads (they're huge), a basket of garlic bread, and a dessert (we chose high five chocolate layer cake). Another order through doordash attempting to eat local during this time of the pandemic. The meatball sub was very good on a handcrafted bun just like a pizza crust. My spouse's Calzone was huge and tasty. We will try them again. Getting through on the phone was somewhat difficult when we came to pick up the order that is why I gave them a four. I ordered the wedge salad and you can see from the picture it came with dressing and tomato, no bacon onion or croutons like every other time I have gotten this salad. What I got was not $6.50 worth. My wife and I were shopping across the street and decided to stop by since it was close, it was lunch time, and was getting good reviews on Yelp! After finding a spot close to the entrance, we were greeted and told we could sit at any open spot. Our waitress took care of our orders and had our beverages out right away. We asked for a half order of bread sticks and had three choices for dipping sauce. We wanted to try the buttery garlic sauce, which was okay, but really thin and mostly dripped off the sticks. If it was thicker, it would probably been better. I would probably try one of the other sauces next time. I went with one of the daily pizza slice specials, so I got a side salad that was loaded with fresh ingredients. Loved the flavor combinations. My only suggestion is that since they serve in deep salad bowls, it is hard for customers to cut the ingredients into smaller bite sized pieces. Either cut the salad ingredients smaller or use flat plates to serve them to make it easier on the customers. My wife went with a BBQ Chicken Salad that was probably twice the size as the side salad. She took one look and let our waitress she was going to need a "to go" box. It was huge. Again, the ingredients were fresh and she liked the salad and chicken. She did comment that the dressing wasn't her favorite, maybe it was the blue cheese crumbles, but fortunately, both of those arrive on the side, so she could adjust the amount to fit her tastes. I got the Lil Razorback slice of pizza that is a thin crust fold-able slice that comes loaded with pork cuts including bacon, ham, smoked sausage and lots of cheese. It definitely was "juicy" so be careful when you pick it up that you don't end up dripping the juice on you. The flavor was really good and the single slice was pretty hearty. I wish the basil that was added would have been distributed more evenly though. Some bites, I couldn't taste it with all the meats. Others had a really nice blending of flavors....just need to be more consistent to have a great slice of pi! Overall, the service was good and friendly, the food was ready promptly, and we thought the taste was pretty good with just the minor misses that I mentioned above. One of favorite eats on the Westside. Love fresh salads and garlic bread. The pasta Diavolo with shrimp was delicious ... well cook and spicy just the way we like. Especially love big chunky sausage on the pizzas as most places use micro-pieces the get lost in the sauce. The staff has always been friendly and food is pretty consistently awesome. Normally a 2-3 times a month place mostly due construction, which should be ending soon. Made a special trip this time because who doesn't love great food while supporting a great cause! read more

What a cluster! When my wife and I arrived we were told they didn't have any tables. After waiting 20 minutes 2 tables were finished and left. The waitress then had a 10 top and three tables inside; two that already had their food. We waited another 15 minutes at our table. Then four people came in. Wanted to take my dear friend who was visiting from Europe. I bragged on how amazing the food and staff were. Horrible decision! Not only was the service uber slow once the food came I took one bite and knew my chicken was not thoroughly cooked! I asked to see the manager and was told that she was busy. I told them the issue and the manager refused to come out and instead sent out a message that it was a "young chicken" so it's pink. Needless to say--not going to eat that. My guest's pizza was fine however the waitress kept part of her change because "most people" don't want $3.85 back. She was going to leave a proper tip but after that she was done and requested all her change. Well I was really looking forward to this...and if you're looking for cold, boring, GREASY pizza, this is the place. Very disappointing. The ice tea was cold. When I came in, I was told to grab a menu myself and choose my own table. I didn't mind that too much. But it took half an hour to receive me salad and bowl of soup, and that was only after snagging the busser. I asked him to get my server for me. Instead he got my food. I was very grateful. Another table that arrived about 10 mins after me was served before I got someone to help. I told my server I would also be placing a carryout order. I never saw her again, so I snagged the same kind busser and asked him to get her for me. I placed my order and asked for my check right away. When I got it, I saw that she had gotten my pizza wrong, so I had to go to the counter and try to catch it before it was cooked. I was too late. I usually have good experiences at Buccetos. I had the worst pizza I believe I've ever eaten tonight from Bruccetos. I've been ordering Margarita for years and someone hasn't taught the kitchen how to make one properly. Tonight's disaster pie had too much cheese--mozerella and some other strong cheese, neither had even melted. The fresh basil wasn't fresh at all and had a rancid taste and there was way too much garlic. The crust was way too thick.
