Great simple Italian-American food. It has the vibe of a local restaurant even though it's part of a chain. Stepping inside is like going back to the 90s or early 00s with the funky art and style of furniture. I've done takeout a few times and dined in once. I made the mistake of ordering takeout once on a game night when they were slammed and a little behind, but the staff was very friendly even though it was a little chaotic in there. Under regular conditions, my order was ready on time, and the service was great when we dined in. The menu has lots of choice under the banners of pasta, pizza and calzones, chicken dinners, sandwiches, and dessert. They also have a pretty decent selection of beer (draft and bottles) and wine. Almost all of the menu can be made without gluten (but gluten is used in their kitchen so they don't guarantee 100% gluten-free), and there's also some pretty good vegan options. It's mostly classic stuff, but there are some slightly adventurous pizzas. I really enjoyed all of the food that I've tried. Their pizza and American-style thin crust which usually isn't my preference, but there's a freshness and subtle sweetness to the dough that I like. The Bama Jam pizza was really good with the sweet-savoury onion jam combined with the distinct taste of the gorgonzola and rosemary, although it was so heavy on the sweet that I kind of felt like I'd eaten both dinner and dessert. I think the Queen of Hearts calzone was my favourite out of everything - the crust was great, the artichokes and olives in the filling were abundant as was the cheese. The spinach ravioli came in a tomato sauce that, while not heavily seasoned, tasted juicy and fresh. Dessert is not to be skipped. I've tried most of the desserts at this point. The tiramisu and carrot cake are my most recommended, but all are good. The carrot cake had lots of nuts and carrot pieces inside and a tangy cream cheese frosting. The cheesecake is very rich and creamy. The optional strawberry sauce was delicious - it was so bright red that at first I thought it was just a flavoured syrup, but it tasted like real fresh strawberry puree. Bucceto's near the College Mall was amazing! It is a casual spot which is great for a quick bite. I went here for a dine to donate for my business fraternity. Even though there were a lot of us and there were lots of us rotating in and out, the waiters were great and super accommodating to us, moving tables around to make sure we all fit! The food was great too. I had been wanting to eat a calzone for a while, and I was happy I chose Bucceto's! I got the build your own calzone, with jack cheese, bacon, and pepperoni. For dessert, I got their special of the day, bourbon cheesecake. I loved it and wish I could have it again! read more

Valentine's Day. Party of two. The restaurant was slammed. Many tables needed busing, a line waiting for them. DoorDashers. Zoo. Staff was trying to maintain with a smile on their face. We decided that we'd do pasta, rare for us. My partner chose something her mom might've made, generic spaghetti and meat balls with tomato sauce. I chose linguini with white clam sauce. It's hard to find in Bloomington. Larger than you might expect salads come with this meal. The dressings were rattled off by our server. She didn't mention that the Caesar dressing costs an extra 75c. We found out later. The spaghetti with meat balls was judged to be good, but not exciting. My dish, which I'd tried before and didn't have success with, was actually clam soup with pasta, maybe 8oz or more of broth with linguini (just about al dente), and six clams. An amazing amount of garlic was in this soup. Luckily, I like garlic. Six clams were in the soup, one clam meat Missing In Action. For those not familiar with this dish, the amount of broth that I'm describing is more than excessive for this dish. It didn't taste bad, I just wasn't expecting soup, rather something Italians call linguine alla vongole bianco. This was not that. Good service under fire, and a nice appetizer of spinach artichoke dip push it past OK into the four star rating, but only barely. We've tried other dishes here, and like that they have intentionally low carb and gluten-free stated options, as well as vegan options for our vegan friends. Not many restaurants do this and it's appreciated. But I won't order the clam soup with pasta again. read more

Bucceto's catered the rehearsal dinner for my wedding at the begging of the month. It was absolutely fantastic. Everyone loved all the food! The owner, Paul, is incredible. He was the easiest person to work with and you can easily see that he cares for his customers and staff. People like Paul and restaurants like Bucceto's are what makes the Bloomington culture so rich! If you've never been to this restaurant, it's a must go. I could talk all day about how good the food is, but the staff and service make the experience care free and wonderful. I know this is a chain, but boy they sure treat you -- at this location like a valued customer at a local family business. This was our first time at a Bucceto's. We were served by a 5-star server who answered our questions with positive and complete descriptions of the food. The drinks and salad were served promptly, but not rushed. Their salad is large, a combination of lettuce, olives, carrots, cheese -- and all super fresh. I'd highly recommend their ranch dressing made in house. The pasta dishes were excellent-- fettuccine alfredo and ravilo. Creamy perfect alfredo sauce. An excellent dining ambiance for this price point with superb service and above excellent food. Not being from this area, I wasn't sure what to expect, however I am happy to say I was extremely pleasantly surprised. Each member of my party very happy with their dish (I was happy with their dishes too as I had a bite of each of them- haha!) First off, salad was SO GOOD. Iceberg salads are usually nothing to write home about, but all veggies were fresh and that dressing was FRESH. The blue cheese tasted homemade, I believe it had a ranch base. I am typically not a ranch dressing person, but this ranch was so flavorful! As for the main entrees, I ordered the vodka cream sauce with fettucine, this had a perfectly mild spicy kick. Portion size was generous, had enough to eat the next day which tasted even better! Daughter #1 had a chicken breast with mushrooms- expertly prepared, the breast was not at all dry, sauce was rich and buttery. Sometimes chicken breast can be stringy and gross, this was the exact opposite of that. Daughter #2 had a spicy shrimp-based pasta which had a nice savory flavor, hard to explain, but again, so good. Daughter's fiancée had a pasta-chicken dish with a rosemary based cream sauce (forgive me, I don't recall exact names of the dishes), but again so flavorful and well done! The basket of garlic bread, buttery delicious, soft and perfectly crispy crust but also not so hard that it hurts the roof of your mouth! Inside of restaurant gave me some 80s vibes- not a bad thing! Casual atmosphere, and kitschy art deco unique to their brand. Our server, Devin or Darrin, with movie star looks and most importantly, friendly and attentive service. You could also tell employees got along wellnwith each other, guys in the kitchen joking around and wait staff supporting each other- other waitstaff filled our drinks, it was nice to see them being supportive of each other. I chose Bucceto's for my birthday lunch meal at work. The lady who picked up our food said that they were short staffed today. For a carry out order for about 10 people, they only got a few things wrong. One of our girls didn't get her spaghetti and meatballs. Another girl never received her soup, and one of our doctors had some missing toppings on his pizza. Other than that everyone really enjoyed their meal. I'm not sure if we were charged for the missing items but everyone was satisfied enought with what they received so no one called back to tell Bucceto's about the missing items. A lot of people I worked with never had Bucceto's before, so I'm happy to have introduced them to my favorite restaurant. read more

I would first like to say that I have ordered from the location on the west side of bloomington, Many times and have enjoyed the food. Even when the doordasher did not deliver the food and I had to reorder it. This is my first time ordering from the Eastside location. And I have to say I am greatly disappointed. The chicken dish was burnt dry cry just a tiny tiny bit of sauce. I also ordered the Greek salad No black olives. And it arrived with a ton of black oloves. My favorite pizza place! It has so many options for toppings and that's something I really like when we want an "upscale" Pizza night. The chicken pizza with goat cheese is wonderful but we love the option to do half and half. My husband and I have different preferences so that helps us out! I ate here yesterday (27-08-22), and it was a very nice experience. The staff was young and friendly, very accommodating. The sweet tea was great, especially for this town, it was the closest I have been able to find to Texas sweet tea. Not sure if that's the norm for this place, but that day the sweet tea was on point! I had a spinach artichoke dip, and it was FANTASTIC! The bread was nice and crispy, and enough for the plate of dip. It was so creamy and yummy! It was a tad small for a shareable, in my opinion, so I would consider ordering more than one if you're with family and friends. For my main entree I had the Rosemary Cream Chicken Pasta. I did request for artichoke to be added in, and they kindly obliged. This is where this place loses a star for me. The chicken was very tough and almost leather like. I couldn't bite through it cleanly and became so difficult to chew. So I just parted it to the side. (Personally it doesn't matter to me, but as it is a main part of the dish and the only protein, it may be something to note for another patron.) There also wasn't a whole to offer tomatoes in this dish, not sure if that would be a turn off for some. Personally it doesn't matter, I did enjoy there being a bit less of them. While I wasn't a fan of the chicken, the rest of the dish was very good. The pasta was cooked well, making it very enjoyable. Parking is a bit tough as the east side place is next to a Starbucks, so parking can be a bit tough. The inside is a bit small, but for small-mid size parties (less than 6) it is just enough. I would certainly recommend this restaurant if you are in town and have an Italian/pasta craving. It was a nice experience, and I do plan to be back! read more

Really a great pasta place for the price point. I would recommend the four cheese pasta with the tomato cream sauce and definitely try the greek salad or the walnut salad. Their dressings (i love the blue cheese myself) are mostly if not all homemade which is a real plus for me. I have also tried the spicy pasta which had a lot of garlic but no issue for me cause I personally love garlic. The pizzas and calzones are also pretty good! I myself love the campfire pizza which has these amazing smoked sausages and their fantastic gorgonzola along with some rosemary. Great place overall. read more

If you're looking for a quick italian meal at a decent price, Buccettos is for you. It's somewhere between Fazoli's and Olive Garden on the spectrum. Not really fast food, but not quite Olive Garden. I consider myself a Bucceto's regular and have never had a meal I didn't like. I absolutely love Bucceto's dinner salad and they have one of the best homemade ranches I've ever had. Their quattro formaggio, rosemary chicken pasta, and chicken piccata are a few of my favorite pastas. The razor back, humble pie, and margherita are a few great choices. If you are looking for an appetizer the bread sticks and spinach and artichoke dip are great options although entrees do come with garlic bread as well. Ordered take out, so this is a take out review. I ordered fettuccine Alfredo and a San Pellegrino drink. The food was given to me, but not the drink and I was never informed of it was out of stock or refunded via doordash. The Alfredo comes with a small piece of toasted bread and a side salad. The salad was alright, it was just a salad and I like salad. But it had cheese on it that resembled preshredded Kraft mozzarella. The dressing was pretty good. The fettuccine was also just okay. However, it was only $9.50 for everything besides the $3.50 drink. So really you get what you pay for and honestly that's okay. read more

This was our first trip to Bucceto's. We were very pleased with our meals. Our kids had kids portion cheese pizzas and loved it. I did the medium Ultimate Warrior pizza which was very good. It had the largest, juiciest chunks of flavorful sausage I've ever had on a pizza. The small size pizza probably would have been plenty as I did take about half of my pizza home. The wife had a nice helping of spaghetti with a house salad and was very pleased with the portion size and flavor.
