We had to wait an insane amount of time just to place the order, then waited forever again for the food, and after that even the check took ages to arrive. It honestly looked like there was only one poor waitress running around the entire restaurant trying to handle every table by herself. The food was also very disappointing. Everything tasted low quality, barely warm, and definitely not worth the wait. I understand being understaffed, but if service is this slow and the food is this bad, something is seriously wrong with management here. We've been when there is a hostess and when there isn't, and still we end up seating ourselves and struggling to flag down staff when there's hardly any other customers. Oof. It's your typical BWWs. That's good and bad. I've noticed the consistency at BWWs in general differs from store to store and even in the same store depending on who your server is. This BWWs is no different. I usually go to BWWs for the wings. After all it is in their name. On this particular night I decided to try a burger. I was surprised, it was actually pretty good. BWWs has a low attendance unless it is a UFC fight night. One of the best things about a BWWs is the availability of almost any sporting event on TV. The only thing is it'll usually take a good 30 minutes to get the TV changed, so ask for it about a hour before what you want is on. Pros: If you get the right server on the right day the service will be quick, accurate, and the food will taste good. Because of the bad reviews and inconsistency at BWWs unless it's a UFC fight night there will be less crowd so you'll get seated and served quicker. Cons: Inconsistency. It's been several years since we've been to this BWW. Unfortunately, it's gone downhill. We arrived around 11:30am/11:45am (not long after they opened for the day) and the place was visibly dirty. We passed up 2 tables before finally sitting down because the first 2 had dried food and sauce on them. The restaurant wasn't busy so they had time to make improvements, but didn't. There seemed to be one server for the entire bar area, and the server was doubling as a bartender. The restaurant knows this group comes in and should have staffed more servers for that afternoon and evening period. What was worse was when you needed to get fries (one-starleft off the plate), utensils, or more beer or water. It took about 20 minutes to get their attention. That isn't prompt service and, in reality, it isn't the waitstaff's fault, it is management not realizing that more waitstaff was needed for a large group coming in. STAY AWAY FROM THIS NASTY PLACE Last night I took my 12-year-old son to the restaurant located at 21980 Colorado Drive, Dulles, VA 20166. We waited 15 minutes to be seated because the hostess was busy clearing tables and no one else was available to seat guests. When she finally came, she attempted to seat us right next to a large, loud group of high school students. I politely asked to be moved elsewhere; she said nothing for almost a minute, then reluctantly seated us a few tables away. It took another 20 minutes for our server to arrive, and when he did, he had a visibly hostile attitude. My son ordered his meal (I wasn't hungry and didn't eat), and that was the extent of our interaction. The check totaled $23.82. Given the poor service and rude behavior from both the hostess and server, I left a $1.18 tip, making the total $25.00 exactly, which I wrote clearly on the signed receipt. I normally would have left nothing. This morning I noticed a pending charge on my card for $28.58, an unauthorized increase of $3.58. Altering a customer's tip after they leave is not only terrible customer service, it is credit-card fraud and theft. I have photos of both receipts and will be disputing the extra $3.58 with my bank immediately. I will also be leaving this review everywhere possible so others are aware. Sometimes, businesses just give up on customer service and Buffalo Wild Wings is one clear example of that. When you are a chicken wings restaurant, your whole business models centers around sports events, and the Super Bowl is like your Christmas day, your Black Friday event. If you are not prepared to serve your customers that day, you have no right to be in business or accept orders from customers. So here's what happened to me and why I am being so generous with a one-star rating: I placed my order through their website at 3 PM on Super bowl day, with a request for the wings to be delivered at 7 PM. At 6:49 PM I get a text message indicating my ordered will be delivered at 7 PM. Great! 7:20 PM. Nothing. I check the status and the driver is on the way to the restaurant. 7:40 PM. Nothing. I call the restaurant and they have a hard time even finding my order. I wait 15 minutes on the phone and they hang up. 7:50 PM (order is now almost one hour late) I call back and I am finally able to talk to the manager, only to learn that they are so backed up that my order is not even processed yet! I explain that I got a text message with the confirmation and the manager says to me that "just because you get a text message, there is no guarantee you will get your order by then". After more than one hour of lost time I cancel my order and request a refund. Will I ever order from them again? Impossible. You are a chicken wing restaurant and you cannot deliver on Super Bowl day and keep your customers informed and happy? Please closed your doors. You have no business staying in business. Unethical business practice. We ordered 15 wings drum only. When we got it home we had about 25 very VERY small and EXTREMELY overcooked wings. I called the manager and he said that sometimes they dont get their regular wings from the distributor and they are much smaller but they give you more. This is not acceptable.
