Ordered the red curry lunch combo, Phad Thai was great but the curry had little bits of chicken and some shredded pieces like it was scrapped from the bottom of the pan, never had I had red curry like this; just wasn't too appetizing

The customer service here was great. Our cashier who helped us was patient and friendly. She helped make a suggestion when I couldn't decide on the mochiko chicken or the basil chicken. She suggested I could get both. Which is what I decided on. It was basically the same boneless fried chicken breast cut into pieces with two separate sauces and toppings. In older photos of the basil chicken it was more of a whole chicken thigh and leg. Which appeared to be baked to crispness. I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't the same as that previous pictured version. We also ordered a side of fried rice which came with Chinese sausage and was topped with the cabbage slaw. That was my favorite dish of the meal. There are various offerings of pre-portioned sauces such as sambal, katsu sauce, etc...there was one with fish sauce that had me at hello lol. It was nice to try a few. All were quite delicious. Portions were generous and the plate came with rice, Mac salad, and a cabbage slaw. The Mochiko had a Korean spicy style red sauce which was more a flavor profile than spicy in heat. The basil chicken tasted like a soy based sauce. Unfortunately they were all out of banana pudding and haupia pie when we arrived around late afternoon. I've sampled many a plate lunches. My mains and sides were good. Good, but didn't make an impression upon me personally. That doesn't mean I wouldn't come back to try different dishes to see if I may like something more than my particular dish on this visit. Glad I gave em a try while in town. I'm always on the lookout for island style plate lunch spots.

Buddha Bruddah is an awesome lunch spot for Hawaiian food. Fresh, flavorful ingredients - my favorites are the grilled mahi mahi, the pad see ew, and the combo plates. They have a sauce bar with seven (7) different sauces like crying tiger, nuoc cham, sambal, and old standbys like siracha and teriyaki for those so inclined. I prefer adding any of the lime & fish sauce based sauces to my meals. Yum!

Bern awhile since I wrote a review generous portion on the Kalua pork, i decided to be a little healthier today and went with the garlic shrimp. There are soft whole cloves of garlic that add an umami to the dish. I think the chicken dishes are still my favorite and I like the slaw that comes with the entrees. Finally broke down and tried the banana cream pie that we heard a out at our first visit. Definitely is tasty!

I ordered the Loco Moco. Burger was char grilled giving it a great flavor. I decided to only order one scoop of rice because 2 scoops would have been way too much. I suggest order extra gravy and an extra egg. We ordered online and the food was on time and hot. Inside the restaurant was clean and service was good.

4.5 stars for food, and 4 stars for the casual whole dining experience. Order at the counter, and then grab any empty table; someone will bring the food to your table. Food took 15-20 minutes after ordering. I was pleasantly surprised by the food. My favorite was the Garlic Basil Fried Chicken - so juicy and tender, and great flavor. I like to try Garlic Fried Chicken at different Thai restaurants. And this version is amongst the best I've tried. So trust me when I say "get it!" Both Loco Moco (comes with a runny egg) and Kalua Pork are good too. Some interesting beer selection, like mango or coconut ale. There are also coconut pie and chocolate pie for dessert.

Some good asian fusion food! I got to try Buddha Bruddah via take out and the dishes were craveworthy. I got the Fried Chicken Mochiko and Huli Huli Chicken. The fried chicken was a delight with some gochujang aioli, giving it a spicy kick. The Huli Huli Chicken was solid grilled chicken with a bed of rice and coleslaw. Both were delicious, but my favorite was the Fried Chicken Mochiko, I really enjoyed the crispy chicken with the gochujang aioli. Overall, this is a solid spot and the portions were great for each dish.

We ordered takeout on a Monday night. I had heard good things, but haven't had time to try them. The picture of their loco moco looked less traditional so we ordered a combo beef/chicken and a spicy pork platter. Their fried chicken also looked good, but we didn't think it would transport well. The portions were BIG. It was adequate to feed us, our baby and made lunch for the next day. The price was about 15-20 a plate so pretty average, but the value with the portions were great! The food itself was tasty, but maybe a little more korean than hawaiian. It was well seasoned and cooked well. The chicken was a little dry for my liking, but the flavor was good. It came with 2 scoops of rice and a scoop of mac salad. The mac salad was one of my favorites in seattle so far and the warm rice went so well with everything. Since we didn't eat in, I cannot comment on the service unfortunately, but maybe we can someday soon. Overall, good eats, maybe not just hawaiian, more korean, but delightful and well portioned. I would recommend this if you are looking for some tasty plates.

Today, we went to Buddha Bruddah for dinner! Right upon entry, we were greeted with kind smiles, and great attitudes. My partner and I both got combo plates. Each combo plate comes with your choice of meat, two scoops of jasmine rice, coleslaw, and Mac salad. Every dish was a five out of five - great flavors and portions! The dining room was clean, and towards the side there were various options of sauces to dip! Would recommend!

This is a cool Hawaiian/Asian Fusion spot in, I believe, the Mt. baker area. We were craving rice and some Asian flavors so we chose this place for dinner. We got the huli-huli chicken and short rib combo and the spicy sesame chicken plate. The huli-huli chicken was flavorful, but it's not as moist as the HH chicken at other places. The short ribs were delicious, but the sauce just seemed like super regular teriyaki sauce. I did like some of the charred parts of the short ribs! I liked the spicy sesame chicken a bit more than the other plate. The chicken was more moist, the batter was not too thick and was still crispy despite the generous sauce. It wasn't too spicy for me either! The space is pretty cool and the vibe is chill. The lady working the cashier was nice and didn't seem annoyed when I asked for a few things several times! This is a solid Hawaiian spot in the area!

Wow! We ordered the Loco Moco, Chicken Katsu, Spicy Sesame Chicken. The sides and everything was tastie. I highly recommend.

The food was great for the most part! I ordered 4 plates two of which were chicken katsu however one of them came with hair underneath the breading of the chicken, as if it was cooked with the hair already in there. I've ate from here multiple times and have always loved the food and service! so I know this isn't a common occurrence however it did leave a sour taste in my mouth and I would hope they take better action to prevent getting hair in items again.

I am surprised I have yet to review this place as this is one of my go to spots. The food is delicious, the portions are big and it is a great local business that helps their employees. Their original location on Rainier is a go to pickup spot for me but their food truck is frequently visiting the Eastside at places like No Boat or Volition Brewing and I often go there on weekends after a hike plus they are also opening up a new location in Kirkland too and I am very happy for them. You really can't go wrong with any of the food. I have tried many different items like their Huli Huli Chicken, Hawaiian Beef, Pad Thai, Kalua Pork amongst others. My absolute favorite thing I've had here was Uncle Hong's Fried Chicken, I had that back in September and if I see their Instagram post it again then I will drop whatever dinner plans I had to make sure I get some more of it because it was bomb! All of their plates comes with rice, mac salad and Asian slaw. The mac salad is delicious which is always a good sign as when I was in Hawaii I noticed the more legit places typically had the best mac salad too and their Asian slaw has a nice sesame flavor to it. They also have a variety of sauces that add lots of flavor to the dish. I usually just go for some sambal on my rice but they have different fish sauce combinations as well. A few items I have yet to try yet that I need to try are their loco moco, some of their seafood and their famous pie (specifically the banana cream is what I have my eye on). Rest assured I will be back to try those items though and if you have not checked out this spot then I strongly recommend it!

Placed a pickup order at the Rainier resto for their salad and loco moco. The salad greens had a strong chemical taste and the salad's chicken and loco moco patty were so salty. Their mac salad is standard. The non-kitchen items such as the Thai coffee and iced tea and coconut pie are delicious. All-in-all, I'll drive the extra few minutes for other Hawaiian fare the city offers. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time and finally got the chance last week. My husband and I love Hawaiian food and were really excited by this menu as it had a lot of our favorites. My husband got the loco moco, which he inhaled. I had only a small bite, but it was delicious and their gravy is what really puts it over the top. I had the grilled mahi mahi, which seemed to be a special. I asked for all green salad instead of rice, mac salad, and slaw. They were happy to accommodate and the up charge was only $1. It was a high quality salad! It had edamame, won ton, and peanuts (though you could ask them to hold it if you wanted to) with an excellent sesame oil dressing. The fish was cooked well and had great flavor and they packaged the two separately so that the salad wouldn't wilt from the heat of the fish, which I really appreciated. Their desserts are supposed to be really good, though I didn't have a chance to try them. I also love that they carry Hawaiian Sun! This place is very reminiscent of other food trucks that have acquired a brick and mortar. It maintains the funkiness and casualness now. It is slightly more expensive than I would like considering this is plate lunch fare, which I feel is also typical of food truck establishments. Don't expect to have leftovers. Overall I think this place is great and my husband I will definitely be back! read more

Friendly staff and nice atmosphere inside. I got the Hawaiian Grilled Beef - came with rice, slaw, and mac salad. It was a good portion for me and flavorful. The thai iced tea is solid. I would pass on the coconut pie next time because I didn't like the texture/taste of the crust, but will be back to try other menu items! read more

The place to go when that Hawaiian food craving strikes! I've been to the food truck a couple times and I figured it was finally time for try the restaurant. I had the guava chicken which was a bit of a miss for me because I thought the chicken was rather dry. The sauce was great, though, as was the rest of the dish! My husband got the katsu which was soooo good, and that's definitely what I'll get next time. They have a great selection of sauces which saved my dry chicken. Plenty of parking in the back, and the restaurant is immaculate. The staff is so nice and it's just a really chill ambiance overall. Can't wait to go back! read more

Mark has done it! He's channeled the taste of the Island life on a Asian Mixed plate. This is THE food truck you've hired for your wedding, seen at concerts and parked in the side streets of the city at lunch time. This kid friendly restaurant that has the space and atmosphere of your vacation getaway. The exotic smells of fresh food being cooked emanates. There's ample seating for large groups, tables for two and some seating by the window for everyone. Buddha Brudda deftly fuses Thai flavorings and Island cooking techniques to create a menu that is simple to navigate and find your favorite dish. Choose from Truck Favorites, Mixed Plates, and Seafood and Wok Fried Noodle dishes. Get desert while it's available. We got the Coconut Cream Pie and loved it. The food. Fuuuuuuuuuuuh. Sooooo good. Da kine Hawaiian mix plates and my favorite thai dishes too. Love the mac salad sides and the full suite of thai pepper sauces. Used to be a food truck, now they got walls. Definitely delishous. My fave is the garlic fried chicken, but so far everything has been lovely, and the service is really great too. Decent prices, nice atmosphere (although not a fancy part of town). Totally satisfied. read more

My delivery was dropped off in the lobby and someone ended up taking it. I called and spoke to Mikaila who was so sweet and caring. She ensured our order was sent out immediately and called to communicate where things were along the way. We got our food resent with 2 complimentary desserts and a sweet apology note for inconvenience. They even called after to ensure everything was good. Customer service alone was 5 stars and the food alone 5 stars as well. We had the short ribs combo and the katsu combo, both were sooo delicious and huge portions! Thanks! read more

The atmosphere was great and to be on a busy corner and feel like you where not in the city is a good thing. The food was pretty good. I order garlic fried rice with shrimp. I didn't taste the garlic much but the rice with was perfect and the shrimp where fresh. Not bad for a quick lunch, the food came out fast and the people working where very pleasant. read more

Had the two big pieces of fried chicken with rice slaw and Mac salad. Honestly it was just ok. Was expecting more Flavor. The bites that included the skin were passable and the rest was dry and completely flavorless. The crispy part needed more flavor than just some sriracha sprinkled on it. Won't order that dish again. But I may be back to try the loco moco. Don't really have to many option close by and making a loco moco from scratch takes a while, although always delicious read more

I'd give this restaurant five stars for the kids' play corner alone. It just so happens that the food was great also. We had pad see yew, larb gai, and a kids' meal pad Thai. The pad see yew was the best but all were flavorful, and an nice combo to share with the family. read more

Very happy with my Grub Hub order. OMG! WOW that was the best Shrimp Phad See Ew I have ever had. The food was fresh, hot and oh so good. Simple, not a lot of filler and they were so great to call me when they had questions about my order. The shrimp were seared on a flat top or something and added a wonderful flavor to the dish. The slaw was fresh, not over dressed, and refreshing. Would totally order from here again and saw lots of things on the menu to try. Sorry no pics, I was so hungry that I dug right in. read more

Came for lunch. Order garlic fried rice with prawns. Everything was okay until I bit into a prawn and noticed there was shrimp poo in it. I was so grossed out I couldn't finish my food. I brought the issue up to the (along with evidence) and they offered to make me something else. I politely declined, because at this point I do not trust they clean their food correctly. The owner did not offer to refund my money although I left more than half of the food on the table. Needless to say, I will not be back! read more

They have locations both in Downtown Seattle and Greenlake, but I have only been to their Downtown Seattle location which has a beautiful view of the Puget Sound. The atmosphere is dark, trendy, and modern- perfect for a date night or nice evening out. While they are a white table cloth, sit-down restaurant, you can dress casually or dress up a bit - both are completely acceptable. This most recent visit I ordered the COCONUT PANANG CURRY with chicken ($25.95) and my friend ordered her favorite dish, SALMON GARLIC FRIED RICE ($28.95). On a past visit, I've had their CLAY POT SHRIMP & GLASS NOODLES (KOONG OB WOONSEN) ($27.95) which was absolutely fantastic and has had me hooked on Pad Woonsen ever since! I saw the COCONUT PANANG CURRY recently in my Instagram feed and knew I had to get it. It is served in a whole coconut (yes a real, fresh coconut!) and comes with a champagne flute of fresh coconut juice from the coconut they hollowed out and a side of Jasmine rice. The curry was rich, flavorful, and full of Thai basil and peppers. The coconut juice was light and refreshing and a great contrast to the thick curry. The SALMON GARLIC FRIED RICE (which I've sampled before), is gigantic, aromatic, and served with a giant grilled garlic butter fillet of salmon on top. The salmon is extremely moist, oily, and bursting with flavor. The rice is fragrant and has garlic paste, red bell pepper, carrots, and green onion. If you're looking for a tasty and protein-packed meal, this is the dish! Parking is honestly tough in this area as it's located on 1st. They have limited street parking and a few paid parking garage options around. I recommend light railing or Ubering here if you're not already in the downtown Seattle area. Service is always great and we always get our food quickly, no matter how crowded they are. The staff also take the time to check up on your table during your meal. Overall: 5/5 for food, 5/5 for service, 5/5 for atmosphere
