Nice & fun interior, there are games to play whether foosball or video games. Prices are reasonable, I got a strawberry milk tea and it was as standard as you would expect. Next time I go I would get something else. Service was normal, I wanted a milk alternative so I asked the cashier for their opinion but they just told me all milk alternatives are fine. So I flipped a coin in my head and picked almond milk - wouldn't recommend this with strawberry at all. I don't see this place being my go to spot, but it will be a spot I'd come back to if it's later at night and I'm in the area.
I was craving a refreshing Bubble Tea while touring Vancouver's busy Robeson Street, and this place stood out... Well, the place seemed quite vintaged...guess it's an old staple? I got a Rose Milk Tea w/ Boba and Lychee Jelly, and it took a long time (10 minutes easy)...but then there appeared to be just 1 guy working. Also the cup packaging was a bit off. Not only was the cup flimsy, the paper straw just wouldn't penetrate the top lid, and I had to ask the cashier for assistance. Well, he managed to poke a hole...but with alot of spillage. EEEEEEK. Luckily the BT was really good.
If you're from the states, you'll understand when I say this place is similar to tapioca express shops. This shop is located in Robeson at where there are at least 3 milk milk tea shops on the same street. I sense this shop survives since it beats out the others by staying open till 2am on a Saturday. We had walked by this place during the day and it wasn't busy at all. Once nightfall hits and young'ns want a late night snack or a place to hangout, this seems to be where they go. They sell asian food and drinks. It's cute how they have words to distinguish milkshake vs milk tea = milk vs no milk. Guess newbies that's not clear. They also have a couple of board games to keep people entertained. We had the black sesame with boba and oolong milk tea. The boba could be a tad sweeter but it is nice and bouncy. Think drinks are overall well make and you can hear the shacker shaking up drinks. If you're Asian and have late night cravings side Asian snack foods and sweet drinks this place can't do you wrong.
Nostalgic spot for bubble tea on Robson St! Quick service and extensive menu. I got the mango milk tea with pearls and my friend got a watermelon slush. Both were great and thirst quenching. Pearls were cooked well and bouncy.
D R I N K The cashier recommended the coconut milk teas as a favorite, and boy was she right! I'm not a fan of some flavors for drinks because it can come across as superficial, coconut being one of them. I tend to generally lean towards regular house milk tea. Being a tourist, I felt brave and gave her recommendation a shot. It was absolutely delicious! It almost tasted cookie-ish. I probably could have gone a touch less sweet since I generally don't have a sweet tooth, but I highly recommend this drink. The Jasmine milk tea tastes like the typical kind and but was actually fairly light considering we didn't modify the sweetness. L O C A T I O N It's on Robson in Downtown Vancouver. Like the rest of Vancouver, parking sucks if you have a car. Finding a spot is difficult and you have to pay to park. But if you're just running in to pick up the drink you can probably get away without paying since I don't think they don't regulate every minute of the day.
I was craving boba after dinner and decided to try this place since it was near our dinner location. I opted for the jasmine milk tea with boba. The jasmine milk tea isn't that bad and the sweetness is perfect. The tea flavor itself is a bit bitter. And the boba is pretty good and chewy. This was a decent boba drink I had while on my vancover trip.
I've tried many of the slushes on their menu and I can confidently say Bubble World offers some of the best slushes. I recommend their taro oreo, passion fruit, and milk tea slush. Their pearls are soft and chewy. I also tried their salty peppery chicken nuggets, which were crispy and juicy. Their convenient Robson location makes it the perfect place to grab a refreshing drink if you're in the area.
I could go on and on about this place ranting about it non stop but why waste time when I can sum it up within a few lines..... BEST TASTING BOBA I'VE EVER HAD...... HANDS DOWN!!! Flavorful, tasty, and sweetness to perfection! Not to mention my old childhood games in sega mode!!!! yes guys.... on the house while you enjoy your drink! Games consist of sega's 90's xmen, street fighter and u know the rest! And to our humbling and ever so kind barista that schooled us on boba!! thinking the BAY's boba was best.... u were totally right!!! urs is way better than ours!!!!!!
Don't get anything else besides the taro Oreo smoothie w/ taro pearl! My group got the original milk tea, honeydew slush, taro smoothie, and taro Oreo smoothie. Out of all our drinks, the taro Oreo was the best. This might be my favorite taro drink place! I hope bubble world comes to California!
I've been here on 2 separate occasions already and each time, my order was done to perfection! I had their Chinese pancakes as well as their beef rolls in Chinese pancakes. They were both delicious with very drastic presentations. The pancakes themselves were cut in triangle pieces so kinda like pizza but smaller and not as stuffing - enough for a snack after drinking on the town. The beef rolls were mouth watering! Wish I had ordered 2 portions instead...filling but not to the point where you feel bloated. I also go the original milk tea and sesame milk tea! They were incredible and strongly flavoured - which is good because no one likes a diluted drink. The drinks here are also reasonably priced with tons of "bubble" options. You can also personalize your orders by adjusting the sweetness and cold levels. Free WiFi with plenty of seats and mini games for people to enjoy. What I don't like is how to deliver the drinks - you really have to pay attention and be within the pickup vicinity when your drinks are being called out. The place can get really loud and busy so it's easy to miss
Ordered a Coffee Milk Tea with Pearls, perfect amount of sweet. They have a nice area where you can sit down and wait for your food, board games to keep you busy.
Walking back up Robson towards Granville, we decided to stop in Bubble World (2/20/18). We both ordered Original Milk Teas ($4 each, plain, no candies) and savored them onsite. This business also offers a wide variety of flavored beverages and in different formats and food items. Friendly counter staff. Clean tables and seating. Plus there's also video gaming towards the back from the main counter. These milk teas were delicious, made with caramelized yellow sugar made onsite. The Homie slurped his milk tea down in record pace. I took my time savoring while watching passersby walking to/from along Robson. Pleasant detour, reasonably priced, and tasty!
Honestly, I'm torn because one of the times I came here, the bubbles tasted horrible, like expired medicine. But that was one experience out of many, so I'm going to cut them some slack because I thoroughly enjoy this bubble tea spot. The taro here is really good, when I ordered it there were real chunks of taro in it and didn't have that artificial purple colour. When you order it though, I think you need to specify that you want a real taro bubble tea. Overall, would come again

Bubble World was (or maybe still is) the cool hang out to go to for bubble tea. Although the place itself isn't that exciting (there are a few arcade games to play) the cafe is open late (till midnight usually) and has some decent pricing on bubble tea with newer stores like Coco and Chatime driving up the price of business. I came here with a group of friends after hanging out on Robson. The store isn't too busy so finding a table for four was pretty quick (something not as easy to achieve in other bubble tea shops nearby). For what the price point is in downtown Vancouver, the product is not bad. I got a green tea slush with pearls which was $5.00 ($4.25 plus pearls for 75 cents), which is slightly cheaper than the stores previously mentioned. Of course, the taste isn't as rich compared to some other shops I've been to, but the quality is much better here if you want a slush. Coco and Chatime are much better for milk teas IMO and I would go there for that. While the store itself isn't exactly a place I would want to stay long, Bubble World can serve its purpose as a shop that can provide decent drinks. There are a few other locations including one near Kingsway and Boundary as well as another location near Metrotown so I will definitely check those out to see how the experience compares. I enjoyed this place more than Chatime near by. Hence, I came to this location twice. The vibe is great, they have video games on site and plenty of seat. The owners were friendly and explained how the make many things fresh each day. We tried Passion tea and Leach & Kiwi mix tea. Both drinks were amazing! Great experience. read more

So far the only place that sells Sesame Milk Tea!!! Sooo good! They have numerous selection that will satisfy your boba cravings and wide choices for your toppings! Friendly staff and fast service even there is a line. There's free arcade games to use while waiting for your boba. Nice, cozy place to hang out with friends! read more

Overall pretty good and great prices too. Cash only! Anything fried here will be good. The popcorn chicken looked pretty popular but I wanted to try the tentacles. The fried chicken was topped with some shredded carrots and cabbage and had a Thai sauce to it. Tasted like a papaya salad. taro milk tea ftw! This is the best bobba in town. Price is reasonable and the serving is always huge. They serve hot meals too. My favorite is their salty peppery chicken nuggets. This is taiwanese style popcorn chicken and the best i've had in years. Really close to the ones in taiwan, even better than hot star! $5.95 which is huge and super filling!!! Customized my own drink: avocado-papaya milk (not slush, which uses milk powder), with pearls and aloe, and no sugar. It was so frickin good! Will def come back to try different combos. The service was whatever but the guy explained the ingredients clearly enough and let me make all my requests without any fuss. They finished making the drink in under a minute after I paid. Went around 4:30pm on a Friday- not crowded at all, which was great. Drink was $7 all in. High recommend! Will be back. People say Bubble World is a staple in Vancouver. The quality and flavor of the taro bubble tea I was ordered was 3/5. It was a little powdery in flavor still and the bubbles were slightly over cooked, leaving them squishier than I would've enjoyed. The venue had a Playstation 1 with Street Fighter on and those fun joypads to make it seem like an ad hoc arcade. The WiFi existed but may have been dead because I was getting speeds of less than 1mbps up and download. If you want to do work here, just pack up and go to the Starbucks across the street. This may seem like a poor review, HOWEVER the price cannot be beat. For $2.99 you get what Torontonians would consider a large and you're paying about $4 for a large with pearls/jelly which would not be possible at any of the big chain bbt spots here in Toronto. My place for bubble tea whenever I visit Canada. Yes, I have tried many (10 +) tea places in Vancouver and Richmond area and bubble world stood up among others. The tea flavor is strong, bubbles are chewy with a sweet touch, not too soft. Don't go to those buy one get one free places, this is the best. They also have pretty good selection of Tawain style food, judging by the amount if customers, I am sure it is good as well. Price is a bit high, about $5 per drink, and service is average. The servers are always too busy for customers. I think it is a common service standard in this area. Coming from USA, I wonder if the Canadian ever tip at all because the service in Chinese owned places are generally bad. read more
The prices on the internet are wrong, to my delight! Everything's cheaper than it says on by heir website. Anyway, I came here with some friends on a Saturday evening, and I ordered an earl grey milk tea without ice and very very little sugar. It was great! The tea flavor was good, and I really enjoyed it. My friend got a jasmine green tea which was really strange, and my other friend got a peach tea with pearls which was way too sweet. I really liked my earl grey though. The ambiance is nice too; there's plenty of tables and chairs to chill at, and there are two gaming consoles that you can play for free. Cool place! My drink was $3.60 after tax, and the size was pretty good. I'd be back here if i lived in Vancouver! read more

I've only had the slush here but let me you, i'm in LOVE. Since i came here for vacation I can't find DELICOUS SLUSH back here in nyc. I've been looking for places and they're nothing compared to this place. my hotel was right across the street; my friends and I stayed for a week and decided to try this place in the middle of our stay and since then we were there everyday, sometimes twice. For a decent size the price was 2 something! Back in nyc, it's a much smaller cup for $3! Oh yea, I've only tried their mango slush and their lychee slush, i'm not crazy about sugar so I would recommend the mango one (it's AWESOME). The lychee one was only a little bit sweeter than I would of wanted it but man... I could go for one right now. read more

Even if i didnt check out other places, i liked this one. liked the food also, you can get little snacks for a good price. i thought the place was in bad shape though. i enjoyed the fact they have a street fighter playing there. it seemed tydier on the photos published before, and when i went there, there was no arcade games and much less decoration. read more

This used to be one of my favourite places to have chicken nuggets and fish cakes. It feels like they've really gone downhill. Both were dry and did not have the same spice as they did previously. The tawainese sausage fried rice was so-so with a mouthful of onions with each bite. Bubble tea is still good but they even messed up my order when I asked for half sweet. We were 2 of 4 people in the restaurant so I would have expected a bit better. Overall won't be going back anytime soon. read more

We stopped by Bubble World Robson to try Vancouver tea and compare it to Seattle's. Bubble World' has by far the best milk tea I've ever had. The tea is not too sweet, not too milky (where you get a white film on your tongue), and not powdery because they have an automatic shaker that dissolves everything. The tapioca is sweetened and has a nice bite to it vs a really mushy one. They take US $'s here. $1 US = $1 CAD read more

I give up on this place, have tried it several times and they seem to use lots of artificial flavours/colours/syrups. I ordered a fresh fruit kiwi juice with no extra sugar since their drinks are usually overly sweet, and it came out a neon green colour (fresh kiwis are bright green, but not food colouring green), and puckeringly sour with a strangely fake kiwi flavor and that tooth achingly sweet high fructose aftertaste (probably from the syrup). I think it must have had 1/3 of kiwi in there at most. Yuck. Threw it out halfway through because I could not make myself finish it. They have a long way to go to compare to the fresh fruit BBT at Dragon Ball. read more

Upon reading about this place, it was referred to as the "Starbucks of bubble/boba shops" in one source, so in this, I was somewhat intrigued. And the shop's conveniently in the West End, where I knew I'd be spending a bunch of time on my visit a few weekends ago. So I decided at some point during the weekend I would stop in. It so happens that upon my visit to Michi Waffle, I discovered Bubble World is basically next door. This is the sort of tea place that uses some powder mixes, but I'm not sure that's exclusive for all drinks. I had a taro milk tea with pearls. So much sweeter than what I'm used to at home in the SF Bay Area, so much so I was unable to finish the drink. While that was one minus, the staff were friendly and quick; I would come back for another visit and hope to have a more balanced beverage. read more
