Hmm it's okay Mango matcha latte with boba 8/10 - 100% sweet is not very sweet to me but I'm sure it's perfect for many - mango puree was nice and tasted like fresh mangoes - matcha quality is not the best imo, very grainy/sandy but not the worst - boba was soft n chewy, okay texture Hojicha latte 8/10 - very light roasted flavor - hojicha did not really shine in this drink - 100% sweet was also very light sweetness - it's okay but not the worst Overall, service was great. The barista was very patient and gave suggestions and explained the sweetness levels. They were very friendly. Vibes inside are ok, not sure if I'd stay in there to talk because it's such a small store. Great for a pick up n go - drinks came out fast.
I visited Boba Run to try Nomsmag cherry blossom festival limited item. What I got: Hanami Strawberry Dream Fresh coconut strawberry milk topped with sakura marshmallow cold foam, served with three mini sakura sponge cakes for dipping. Includes 1 free topping: choose between boba, crystal boba, or lychee jelly This drink was so delicious. Coconut strawberry milk was nicely sweet and I could taste strawberry flavor so well. Highlight was sakura marshmallow cold form! When I dipped mini sponge cakes into cold form, omg, it was so good. I chose lychee jelly, and their jelly was nicely chewy and had great texture. I really like topping. And what I like about this place is that they know how much ice to put in drinks. Some places put too much ice and flavor faded, But, not this place, staff knows how much ice to put in. Overall, I highly recommend this item while the item is available.
My friends and I decided to look up boba places near our airbnb in downtown Vancouver and saw this place which was a 5 minute walk from our place. The location is in a prime spot where it is next to a mall and an asian plaza which is convenient to a lot of foot traffic. The place itself is small and it seems like it was able to accommodate 6-8 people if they wanted to sit down and drink their drinks inside. I decided to get the matcha watermelon drink and it was exactly what I expected, watermelon and matcha! It was actually really refreshing and I did enjoy the watermelon and matcha mixture but it mostly tasted like watermelon (I like watermelon so I didn't mind). If you want actual matcha I probably wouldn't recommend this drink as the watermelon is pretty overpowering but I do recommend if you do like watermelon! Overall, this place was convenient and it had some interesting drinks with innovative concepts to rival other boba places in the area. 4/5
Overall: A // 5 stars Drinks run on the expensive side, but makes up for it with really high quality and innovative flavors. I tried the Banana Matcha, which gave a very inviting fresh banana sweetness reminiscent of banana milk; this contrasted with the earthy complexion of the matcha that makes this such a sophistocatedly soothing drink. The staff were also proactive in ensuring that the drink would come out in a desirable fashion by asking about sweetness w.r.t. toppings, which I appreciated. So eager to try the rest of their menu! Honestly, this bubble tea place slaps. The pearls are chewy but not so soft that they're all melty. I highly recommend getting the dalgona toffee bubble tea (coffee free). It has such a light sweet, burnt caramel taste that's balanced by the milk base. The toffee is also yummy to munch on.
We got: Hojicha Latte w/ Honeycomb Dalgona Strawberry Milk Matcha Cream Foam Great, refreshing tea drinks. You can see them whisk the Hojicha and matcha powders. I like the concept of gradually enjoying a less sweet to sweeter drink as the dalgona sugar melts. They have daily $5 drinks which my friend came back for and it, Vietnamese coffee, was also good. No issues with service.
Boba Run is a cute and cozy Korean bubble tea shop that is famous for their unique and creative drink flavours. We got the Akbar Mashti, a rich saffron and rose milk tea drink layered with pistachio foam, chopped pistachios and real rose petals. Plus, it's served with two crispy pistachio butter cookies. The smooth pistachio flavour satisfies my cravings and I was pleasantly surprised by the cookie and milk tea pairing. Food: 4/5 Price: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Parking: Free street parking around Would I return? YES Pro Tips: * They update their menu regularly with new options and seasonal drinks!
boba run is tiny, tucked in a sketchy part of town, seating maybe ten -- two bistro tables and six bar seats. i detected a faint funky smell near the front window, but it didn't take away from the casual, lively vibe. outside, the streets are full of characters, making people watching as entertaining as the drinks themselves. the owner just turned 21 this month and has already built an impressive cult following with five years of service in the bubble tea business. to celebrate, they gave away strawberry matcha with boba to the first 100 people, and the line started forming an hour before the 3:00 pm giveaway. boba run stands out for its quality, no milk powders, just organic dairy or plant based alternatives, house made syrups, and premium teas and tapioca sourced from korea, taiwan, and japan. i got the strawberry matcha latte, made with real strawberries, hand whisked matcha, and oat milk. it arrived in pastel perfection: blush strawberry puree at the bottom, creamy oat milk in the middle, and a vivid crown of green matcha layered on top. bits of fresh strawberry offering bright pops of tartness against the earthy umami of the matcha, all smoothed out by the oat milk. a quick stir brought it together into a dreamy strawberry matcha swirl. the menu is playful and creative: chocolate churro shake, coconut kaya frappe, watermelon matcha oat, strawberry pepero shake, and fruit matcha lattes in pineapple, blueberry, and banana. summer $5 weekday deals keep things fun: monday, caffe latte tuesday, horchata wednesday, hk style milk tea thursday, genmaicha latte friday, vietnamese iced coffee thoughtful ingredients, creative flavours, and a loyal following make boba run a destination worth the detour.
I should love everything about this, I love strawberry matcha bobas and I've been seeing their ads all over. Came in during lunchtime on Friday and waited 20 minutes to order as there was 5 drinks ahead of me. Only one worker behind the counter. The boba wasn't cold enough for me, the strawberry bits were great. Matcha had a bit of a bitter edge to it and the drink was just slightly not sweet enough to mask it. Boba was cooked to perfection.
I got the daily special genmaicha. It does have a good roasted tea flavor but at the same time felt a little too milky as well. I was asked if I wanted half sugar as a default so I said yes but I actually prefer full sugar with this I would say. The pearls were nice and chewy.
This is one of the more innovative boba shops I have been, but my reviews are a little mixed. We first tried the sweet corn matcha latte large size to share, but then also drew to attention a boba fried chicken set that was fairly affordable (15.88CAD). Also, the area is not the best with parking (and it can be very expensive to park if you do find a spot) Sweet corn matcha latte: 3/5 - this one with boba and upgrade to large was 10+ CAD which is on the higher end of boba around here. Usually, the cups have a nice Boba Run logo on it but the large cup just feels cheaply made and had no logo. The boba is solid but the sweet corn flavor masks the matcha flavor. Boba fried chicken: 5/5 - as part of their hot chocolate festival run, this set menu had 2 fried ice cream shaped like chicken drumsticks with hot chocolate. The ice cream has boba on the side that you can add, making the experience very interesting. This was also really good value as it was enough sweets for 2 people to share. Overall, there are hits and misses about this place, so your experience can vary significantly depending on what you order.
The interior is really cute and they had plenty of options to pick from including seasonal drinks. I really enjoyed going through the menu as they had tons of fun flavours. I went with the strawberry match bbt. It was good but a little too sweet for me even with the half sweet option. The staff were very kind and the drinks came out quick.
Came for a banana milk with no pearls. Absolutely delicious. Service was fast and efficient. Love this little spot for a cute vibe and quick beverage !
This was the only boba spot I tried in Vancouver and I wasn't really a fan. Pretty small shop with minimal seating. Service was ok Jasmine milk tea: 2/5 my initial reaction was that this tasted a little watered down then I realized that it was just really milky and didn't have much jasmine flavor. The boba itself was just ok My boyfriend also got a strawberry matcha something and didn't like it because there wasn't a very strong matcha flavor read more
I had been wanting to go to Boba Run for a while and wasn't disappointed when I finally made it. All their syrups are made in house. They use real, fresh fruit and their boba isn't very sweet so the drink isn't over powered by adding boba. There is a small area to sit and windows seats as well as a couple small tables. The staff is very friendly and don't rush you when you order and provide great recommendations on what to try so you can have a great experience. I will definitely go back when I'm in Vancouver next time. This review is for their single resending location. They just opened a location in the mall but there always seems to be a long line. Get over to Boba Rn, you will not be disappointed! read more

Amazing service, lots of options but cashier remained patient and offered options. Matcha is whisked by hand and it paired well with the strawberry. The space is pretty tight and it kinda made us leave the establishment because it got packed out of the nowhere and we felt uncomfortable. Maybe less chairs? read more

Not too impressed with the drink selection. They all felt like too much but maybe because I was looking for some non tea boba drink options. But all they had were fruit milk boba options or shakes. The boba itself in the drinks were really good. Got the kawaii Oreo shake for my son and it's just an Oreo shake. The had food options but we didn't order any. It looks like a Korean fusion type of food. Cute place but not what I was expecting for drinks. read more
I came to try the new feature drink, matcha latte with sweet corn foam. I was so curious to try this pairing and it worked very well. The sweet corn foam had the flavour that I would compare to caramel corn. The matcha itself was good. They use real matcha, whisked by hand, instead of powder mix, and it was strong enough with a nice smooth flavour. The pearls were also perfectly chewy! The barista was nice and checked to make sure I was okay with the dairy in the foam when I asked for oat milk in the latte. It was just one barista working around lunch time but they worked very efficiently considering the tea was being made from scratch because I think I only waited about 10 minutes with 5 or 6 people waiting for their drinks before me. The shop is cute but small. read more

I Heard only good things about this place so I finally went to check it out by myself. It's small but nice and cozy. The staff is friendly. I tried the summer special of the day (Hong Kong style milk tea) and their original chocolate cookie). The drink was pretty authentic and the cookie had some nuts in it, which made it extra delicious (they offer to warm it up for me) read more

We stopped by this place as I was craving some boba and while the place is small and cute, I didn't really care for the drink that I got and maybe I could have gone with something different. I didn't know my drink would be more of a frap than an actual drink so that threw me off a little bit. We also didn't realize until after the fact that they had a buy 2 get 1 free promo going on which I wish they would have mentioned as we had bought our drinks separately. read more
Think this was the only milk tea spot in Vancouver downtown. Small place but very clean and nice. Many options on the menu that I never tried before. I had to get their seasonal/special drink - cherry blossom matcha latte. The drink was so unique and not overly sweet. The sakura flavor was on the bottom and the matcha was on top. It also includes a cute sakura sugar cookie. I would not suggest to mix it because the matcha would overpower the taste of the sakura. It was sooo good! The cookie wasn't too sweet either. read more

We love Boba Run so much that we visited twice during our trip. I wish we found this place at the beginning vs in the middle/end! Each visit, I ordered the Hojicha Latte with coffee jelly and full sweetness. It was consistent each visit. Although i chose 100% sweetness, it only tasted subtly sweet. The boba places back home dont have coffee jelly as a topping so i was pleasantly surprised to have it in my drink and it mixed in well! When we visited on a Friday afternoon, it wasnt packed. It was only me, my group of 3, and a couple. When we visited on a Saturday afternoon, it was filled with people. Almost every space of the store was taken. People were also willing to chat and drink their drink no matter where they stood or sat. Overall, I would love to come back here again. i have a favorite spot back home that is my go to but I think i have a favorite go to boba place in Vancouver too. read more
Lovely spot for the classic strawberry matcha. Be sure to give it a good stir. There's some seating but it can get quite tight. Be sure to check out their daily specials for $5! I'll be back to check out some other teas. read more

The specialty drink is typically half sweet which is perfect for me. Hence I am enjoying my mango matcha tea and my husband is enjoying his hong Kong milk tea as I am typing up this review. Cute little place with friendly staff but no public bathroom . read more
I got a strawberry jasmine latte here as a treat. The jasmine tea came out pretty strong despite the addition of milk and strawberry! I loved it--the ratio was done well. The strawberry and the little bits were really nice too. I added pearls and they were as usual for bubble tea. Service was courteous and very fast. The price flabbergasted me a little but I suspect it's like this for most bubble tea spots now. The space is relatively small but there are some seats. read more

Wednesday special: hojicha latte add pearls Even at 50% sugar, the drink was quite sweet for me. The drink also didn't give me a strong taste of hojicha. They have a discounted drink for every day of the week which is the special that I got. They have a really unique menu with a lot of modern popular drinks! I would love to come back and try the variety they have here. Side note but also kinda sad that they didn't have their iconic logo on the cup lol. read more
My brother recommended this boba place to me. The place is located in the sketchy part of the town so I went there during the day. - Strawberry matcha latte with crystal boba: YUM! The strawberry gave the sweetness of the drink yet it didn't overshadow the matcha flavor. When I mixed it, it gave the perfect sweetness. Highly recommended! The crystal boba were good (chewy). - Honeycomb dalgona latte with crystal boba: ok. The honeycomb came in a bag & I added it when I was about to drink it. It was just ok for me. The dalgona flavor was subtle but the milk tasted fresh. read more
Cute little boba shop in between Chinatown and Gastown. This was the first boba shop I stumbled upon while in Vancouver. They offer different types of unique drinks. They even have pastries. Drink selections can be limited but I'm sure there is a drink for everyone. I ordered a coconut kaya frappe since I love coconut drink in general. It was actually my first time testing kaya and had no idea what it was prior lol. The drink actually tasted kinda like pina colada smoothie. It wasn't too sweet and had the perfect amount of coconut flavor. Staffs were nice. Indoors seatings available but limited. read more
My experience was pretty disappointing, and surprising given the many positive reviews I read before coming here. The boba we got had wayyy too much milk - it was pretty unpleasant to drink. I got the oolong milk tea and didn't ask for any adjustments. It was made with so much milk, I could barely taste the tea! It basically tasted like a big cup of milk. I ended up having to throw it away, and I've never done this with any boba drink in the past! My bf got a jasmine milk tea and it was slightly better, but still tasted overwhelmingly of milk. I typically love boba, so I was surprised to have such a poor experience here. I would recommend trying a different spot for boba. read more
Checked out Boba Run while in the area. Not in the best part of town, but it's a pretty nice spot inside. They label themselves as "Korean- inspired", and you can definitely see that in their menu with the dalgona, and banana milk drinks. They have a pretty extensive menu with a wide array of drinks like HK style milk tea and horchata. It's like a bubble tea passport! I ordered the coconut kaya frappe because I'm a huge coconut fan. It was good; not overly sweet.I added pearls, and the pearls had a good chewiness with a nice level of sweetness to it. Price wise, it was a bit expensive though, sitting at over $8. I would come again if I'm in the area, mainly because they have drinks that I can't get elsewhere. read more

Came across boba run as I was craving some milk tea. Menu has an array of options with some very fun speciality drinks (e.g. dalgona latte, banana milk), but I went with a simple matcha. There were 3 non-dairy options for those who are lactose intolerant like myself. Location is on the smaller side, so seating area is a bit cramped, but service is fast! Overall satisfied and will return read more
