a plate of fried chicken, rice, and vegetables

I took 2 stars off because staff weren't attentive. My bf and I waited 20 mins for them to take our order. We both ordered the salt and pepper chicken nugget rice platter and two drinks. I got mine first but his came after 10 mins and they didn't give him his drink until 15 mins after into his meal. We had to wait around again and stick our hand up in the air hoping one of the servers would notice us to get a to go container. The food and drink was good. It was affordable and the portion sizes were good but the service was disastrous. I'd rather not eat in next time.

After seeing the other reviews maybe I lucked out and came on a good day. This is the view for their afternoon Tea special that happens between 130 to 430 on weekdays. I ordered deep fried squid tails with a side of noodles for $10.50 and my friend ordered a veggie hot pot for $12. During the afternoon tea special you get a bubble tea with each order for free and you can add pearl for $.50. this is a very good deal as a bbt will run you $5 during regular hours! The deep fried squid was well done the batter was light. The noodles on the side werevbouncy. The hot pot though nothing to write home about Was warm and satisfying. The milk tea w pearl was full of tea flavour, not overly sweet (ordered half sweet) and pearls had the perfect chew. I'll definitely make this one of my regular spots for a late lunch.

I would give 3.5 stars. Great customer service. Great interior design. They have a wide variety of food and drinks on the menus. We ordered beef noodles in soup and a kimchi hot pot. They were delicious, but there were only four or five small pieces of beef. We would not mind the restaurant charged us a bit more but we could get more beef. The kimchi hot pot was better than the beef noodles in soup. There were lots of veggies, meat and fish balls, a couple frozen prawns, tofu and a bowl of rice. The hot pot had a lot of cooked food inside but it was supposed to have a small fire or flame at the bottom of the pot. There was none. Some frozen prawns or shrimps are good, but these two I had at Bubble World in Coquitlam was bad that I had to spit it out. The hot or cold drinks here have a big portion. We ordered a bubble tea drink and asked a server to split the drink into two small cups. It was great that they could do it for us. We asked for the drink to go. When a server brought the drink to us, she emphasized that we were not allowed to drink it in the restaurant. It must be outside the restaurant. They were very strict on drinks for take out. We had an "okay" experience at this bubble tea place. There are not too many Taiwanese restaurants in Coquitlam. This is a bigger and better one though. We could come back here and try other dishes and beverages.

Second time to be here for Siu Mai and Taro Oreo Slush with Pearls and it was very good. The place is not busy this time so we got our table immediately. The restaurant was very nice although the music is a bit loud. Took more than 20 minutes to wait for our food. Will definitely go back again

Yummers! Pepper sauce beef with noodles and gai lan AND a stein of taro bubble tea!

This is the 3rd time I've been to a Bubble World and this is the better of all 3 experiences. I like that this is so close to my home. It's just off of Lougheed, across the street from Coquitlam Centre and one of the new skytrain stops and there's plenty of parking. We came in for a very late lunch (4'sh) on a Wednesday and was very surprised at how many people were snacking or even lunching. The hostess and the wait staff were very polite and friendly as we were sat in a very comfortable booth. It has a casual, young Asian vibe to the place. The music was a bit loud for me...but then again I'm getting old! I ordered the Black Pepper beef with Noodles and a Taro ice cream slushie with pearls. I was so surprised when I received my piping hot noodle dish in less than 5 minutes! I'm gonna be honest here as I didn't expect to eat a very good dish here but my noodles were not greasy and had a hint of smokiness that made me want to eat more. There was plenty of thinly sliced beef marinated in the sauce. It also had lots of gai lan (chinese broccoli) to add texture and goodness to the dish. The plentiful sauce was spicy and packed a lot of flavour. My bubble tea was served in a giant "stein" and was a very thick, creamy and sweet treat and a great foil for my spicy noodle dish. We'll definitely come back and try the other items.

This Bubble World in Coquitlam is newly opened and it used to be Sui Sha Ya. I had been wanting to try this new location to see what all the hype was about since it opened but they're not open for lunch -- only dinner from 6pm onwards. So we went here around 7pm last night and it was full! Had to wait around 15 minutes to get a table for 2 but it wasn't too bad. It'd probably be even crazier on the weekend though. I ordered the Beef Noodle in Soup. It was pretty good. Nice flavour of the broth and I liked the Chinese pickled mustard greens that they put in it (although it may not be for everyone). The noodles were fresh too and had good consistency. My only complaint is that the beef wasn't tender enough. It was kind of tough and bits of it would get stuck in my teeth.. lol. Otherwise, it wasn't bad and it's something I would order again. NW got the Taiwanese Salt & Pepper Chicken Nuggets with Noodle Soup. He said the soup was slightly salty and the chicken was a bit dry but it had good flavour and it was pretty decent overall. We both ordered bubble tea to go along with our meals as well. The glasses don't look very big but they actually hold quite a bit! The drink was what filled me up. Their portion sizes aren't that big so I'd suggest getting a drink to go along with it. They have quite a large selection of flavours and even toppings. Instead of the typical pearls, I opted for their Rainbow Jelly and NW got the pudding. The Rainbow Jelly was just meh for me. They were all different colours but I didn't taste any difference between them--they were all just sweet and it seemed just like food colouring to me. Maybe I'll stick with the pearls next time. :P Overall, not too shabby considering they've just recently opened. The food wasn't amazing by any means but I'm glad there's a new Taiwanese restaurant around the area that's not too pricy and I can see myself coming back multiple times since they have a good variety of menu items. I noticed the hot pot was a popular order amongst the different tables -- it looked pretty good! Food - 7.5/10 Service - 7.5/10 Ambience - 7.5/10 Value - 7.5/10

They have a super ridiculous policy of not allowing a group of 8 to split bills. And it's cash or debit only.

It's small but has quite many seats, the lady is very friendly. She gave me a photo album to order from which is so fun and I have never seen anything like this before and every restaurant should 10000000% do the same. I ordered the 酸辣肥肠粉 pork intestine sour spicy noodle(added an egg) and potato shreds cold stir凉拌土豆丝 Ok I have to to say, the potato dish is THE BEST i have had in canada and it is a very very high compliment from me, since I order that whenever I can. It's soooo good and I ate the whole plate in a few mins. The pork intestine noodle is so so, I wish there are more pork intestine, I had 4-5 pieces and they r quite small, the egg tho, is sooooo good, it's worth it to add one to the noodle. They also add a ton of peanuts so if u have allergies u need to tell them, they wont ask u. She also gave me a small ice jelly dessert for free in the end, it tastes so good??!!! I am so full at this point otherwise I would ask if I can eat a full portion one lol Overall I will come back!

This place is tiny, as in it can seat about 20 people, and every table had people and had piping hot food on each. Both me and my friend needed to wait a few minutes till someone left, and when we got seated, they gave us their regular menu, and later on gave us a picture book.. and if you guessed it.... everything on their menu with a separate picture. My friend ordered his bowl of spicy pork chop glass noodles in soup, and I had a dry version of spicy noodles with pork. We also ordered their deep fried tofu, deep fried chicken, and a plate of spicy cucumber. Every dish was done just right, and what I mean by that is that every hot dish seemed to be made to order, and it was confirmed when we spoke to the lady there. The spicy cucumber dish came out, and you can tell they use fresh ingredients, the cucumber, although the chili oil used was spicy, due to the freshness of the cucumber, was sweet too. The deep fried tofu had a nice hard outer deep fried shell, and yet the inside was soft and really hot, the chicken took the longest, but this was worth waiting for, with the thin deep fried batter, I don't think I have ever had chicken this hot in temperature, and it was great. Both noodle dishes were huge, and I wondered how my friend ended up eating all of his, I had to take 1/3 of mine home as it was too much. We also ordered a plum drink and a hawthorne drink and at the end was served complimentary jelly as dessert. This was a great meal and if you are in the area, I would recommend you try this place out.

The hot and sour soup was excessively sour, the fried rice cakes was too sweet and the Dan Dan noodles was excessively salty. Furthermore, the ingredients don't taste fresh and dishes such as the Dan Dan noodles are missing key ingredients like cucumbers and carrots. Service is good, and there are robots as well. For the good news: very generous portion of the thick and flavourful Sweet Corn & Chicken Soup; the wonderful surprise of biting into the dumplings and getting both the authentic taste of the pork filling and the burst of the well seasoned broth Shanghai "Xiao Long Bao" Soup Dumplings; the properly cooked with the right amount of garlic and spice Salt & Pepper Squid and; the ever reliable FR "Yang-Zhou" Style. Unfortunately, we didn't fare so well with the rest of our meal. I've always wanted to try the Dan-Dan Noodles and I even opted for the Blade-Sheared Noodles. The noodles were overdone and so soft and slimy. It also didn't help that the extremely oily peanut sauce tasted like melted store-bought peanut butter with a smattering of minced pork. It wasn't even spicy as described. We also ordered the ironically dry and plain Green Onion Beef with Black Pepper Sauce. Not sure if the sauce spilled or evaporated but the container was devoid of any liquid. If it wasn't for the wonderful baos, my revised rating would have been 2 stars. If we ever go back to Legend House, it's probably just for the dim sums otherwise I'll pass.

Not really an authentic Szechuan restaurant. 30 years ago, most chinese cuisines were cooked by hong kongers or south chinese people. So, most of these dishes are going to be a southern take on it. Hot and sour soup - price is awesome. $11 enough for at least 6 bowls. Souo base is missing a bit of flavor but it is jam packed with ingredients. Drunken chicken - it was ok. Little on the salty side. Shanghainese pan fried pork buns - these were probably the worst I've had. Not made in house and not properly pan fried. No juice, super dry, no fried bottom crust. Bean curd wrapped pork dim sum - surprisingly this came out last. At least 20 min has passed. This is a steamed dish but it came out with dried edges like it was sitting on a dry heater. Taste was ok. Mapo tofu - asked for extra spicy and extra numbing. Numbing was there but nowhere near real szechuan numbing. Was not spicy at all. Sauce was more oily than saucey. The price point reflects the quality. Things are either mediocre or a complete miss. Would come again to try only the better stuff. Staff was friendly. Came to try to refill the tea way more times than normal. The iron goddess tea tastes much better than a lot of dim sum places elsewhere.
