The reviews are incredibly mixed for this place, but after coming here three times, Bubble Bubble is winning as my favorite spot to grab boba in the Portland area. I've gotten a different flavor each visit, and the quality has always been consistent. What makes this place fantastic is the number of choices. You choose the type of tea you want, milk/no milk, and flavor. They have a few flavors of jelly, pudding, and sweet boba. My personal favorite is a matcha green milk tea with half strawberry jelly and half boba. The boba is always perfectly cooked, not too chewy or soggy. I am a big fan of bubble tea - but I found the tea here to be a bit very dilute ...and little expensive.They use some kind of powders for the flavors and I dont know if it is natural or artificially made. But I still keep going back for some reason..may be until I find something better. read more

While the spot is cool and the service is friendly, the bubble teas are lacking. I got probably one of the worst Taro bubble teas I've ever tasted. It was brown and tasted more like coffee, and had chunks of powder still floating around. To get your bubble tea fix, I'd look elsewhere. read more

Today I visited this lovely place.. For starters, let me be clear about something. I LOVE LOVE THEIR SNOW BUBBLES , they are absolutely the best next to bubble Crunch. HOWEVER, due to the service that I received today upon my visit; I therefore no longer want to bring any business to this business... And here's why. I paid with my debit card, where they asked for my ID. Went back out to the car to retrieve it. The customer service Rep said "if you want to avoid it in the future just remember to sign the back of your card, and we can compare it to your signature (on the receipt)." To make matters worse, and here's the kicker. I recently had a baby, and it's kinda difficult to hold things tightly. So when I was heading out the door, and went to step down off the curb.. Bam! There's goes my slushy smoothie. So I proceed to go back in side, apologize to myself silently for being such a dolt and ask for it to be remade. The sales clerk gives me a look, her coworker isn't paying attention.. So instead the barista says " sorry I'm not allowed to remake drinks. " ...I was so embarrassed I ran out.. My S.O. went back inside and PAID for another one. I've never been so angry with a food place. What pisses me off is I even tipped them the first time! Never going back. Best boba I've ever had? No. However, I do love this place for it's low-key atmosphere, friendly staff, and large selection of flavors. It's extremely hard to find a boba place that can do everything well, and this one misses the mark on its limited sizes for hot milk tea and the hot milk tea sometimes being only lukewarm! One thing I do find particularly nice is that the boba flavors I have had so far (Japanese green tea, almond, and chai) are not overly sweet. The almond was by far the most surprising, as that flavor is often served so sweet you can hardly make out the almond flavor! I have never had my boba undercooked here, although I do not know if they reuse their boba (you can tell if the boba freezes in the cold drinks it has absorbed too much water), which is my pet peeve because the boba becomes unbearably gross. What this place has going for them: They do "kid" sizes, which is really the perfect amount. I've never been to a different boba place that does that. However, the problem I have with ALL west coast boba places I've been to is that they make their drinks from reconstituted powder. I lived near a Vietnamese shopping center growing up and they always blended fresh fruit. If Bubble Bubble started doing this, you bet I would be there all the time. I went with my friend and she didn't know if she would like a certain flavour there and the guy wasn't helpful whatsoever. She asked if she could try some of it and he said he'd have to make it... I don't recommend this place at all. I've tried many bubble tea places and this one is my least favorite. They have a lot of flavor choices, but the majority of them are not good because they use powders. I've tried a lot of different drinks here, and in my opinion the only okay ones are some (very few) flavors of Milk Tea smoothie and Snow Bubble smoothie. The inside isn't that cute either, and all the times I've been, the service hasn't been great. If you don't finish the drink and want to save it for later, after letting it stand for a bit, it starts looking very gross and fake. The coloring gets separated from the drink and floats up top while the drink itself on the bottom just looks like mixed water. It makes me not want to drink it. Wish I would have taken a picture of it to add on here. I won't be coming back here anymore. There's much better bubble tea places in the Beaverton area. read more

Hands down this is the best bubble tea around, Westside especially and dare I say...in all of Portland *gasp*!!!! For real though, DELISH!!! If you've never tried bubble tea before, I recommend coming here. The staff is so nice and helpful, and the menus are big, bright, and walk you through the steps from size, hot/cold, type of drink (smoothie, yogurt smoothie, milk tea smoothie, milk tea over ice, etc). If you are a bubble tea connoisseur this is also the place for you as their flavors and varieties are better and beyond anyone else I've had. Their rainbow jellies are the best, and they don't get all uppity if you want to do half jellies/half boba or add extra flavor to your drink. They always do a great job making the drinks, and anything blended is always the perfect consistency. read more

The tapioca bubbles here are sweet and delicious (I think they're actually made from sweet potato). The jasmine tea is dry and clear -- refreshing, and not as sweet as other shops make it. I'm a fan! read more

When I got my drink it didn't look like what I ordered and when I asked her said it was that flavor would I thought maybe this shop just uses stuff I'm not used to but it didn't taste like it either. So I'm pretty sure I didn't get what I ordered. They also put ice in the milk tea with boba so you can't really get any boba because it's blocked by ice. Which defeats the purpose of ordering tea with boba. But maybe I'm the weird one. Just make sure to ask for no ice if you actually want to eat the boba. And don't ask for taro, they don't know what that is apparently. read more

I've grown accustom to either a warm milk tea or a cold fruit tea because of this place. Typically the other Boba shops only have smoothie type drinks, so this place is wonderful when the weather starts to chill out. They have a wide variety of flavours, jellies/tapioca/pudding, and style of drink (milk tea, fruit tea, smoothie, warm milk tea, black or green). They even have blooming tea. My cousin got the mango snow and it's not that worth it bcus they use powder. But for being desperate and craving boba, 3 stars. On the plus side, the boba is chewy! The tea tastes decent, but the service is just awful! The past three times I've gone with friends at least one of our orders are messed up. The first two times they blended it without me asking, and the third time I went I specifically requested that it not be blended and the cashier responded, "We will never blend it unless you ask". Ya right. They have also served us completely wrong flavors and made it cold when asked for hot. NOT ONCE did they offer to remake the drink! Instead of offering to remake our drinks the server just responded as if it wasn't what we asked for and made us feel bad about it, so we just kept it rather than ordering another one. After giving it our third chance we have decided not to settle for the convenient location and just go elsewhere. read more

This place ruined milk tea for me. It was not only my first experience with milk tea but also my worst. I always loved the pearls inside but always thought the drink tasted grossly sweet. It wasn't until years later that I tried another milk tea place and had my eyes opened. The stuff they sell here isn't milk tea; it's powdery garbage. Sure there's a market for powdered fruit drinks but what they advertise as milk tea is closer to drinking straight sugar in milk. They don't use any real tea in any of their drinks and boy are their drinks disgusting. There are so many other milk tea places that deserve your business in the area other than this self-proclaimed "tea" establishment such as bubble N tea and milk + T. If you're even considering checking this place out please just go somewhere else and avoid the pain of having such a wonderful drink ruined for you like I once suffered. read more

Been frequenting here quite a while. It's good bubble tea at an average price. The workers always look really disgruntled. They are probably not paid enough, and are rather slow with the actual drinks. Be prepared to wait 20 to 30 minutes easy for your drink when it should really be done in five or ten minutes. read more

I also tried a sip of my friends chocolate smoothie, and it tasted odd, because I think they put tea in it. Was a bit skeptical, but the milk tea with boba is good. The boba has a great soft, chewy texture, the milk tea not overly sweet. Slight ding for boba needing a bit of flavor, and the dinged up table. Some corners are a bit dusty, and the hand written paper signs with curled edges are not very attractive. I might even consider giving this place two stars. Do not even think about using their bathroom. Last time I was there, it was so gross that I walked out. I came back twice, even though I said I wouldn't. But it was because my brother bought boba and when I tasted it, it was delicious! So I went back twice. The first time, I went with my friend and the second time, I went with my cousin and brother. Both times, they were delicious and I didn't have the same problem with the powder clumping up at the bottom. However, the real problem was that I had a stomachache both times after drinking Bubble Bubble! And not just a small stomachache! Nope, these stomachache were extremely painful, to the point where I was on the verge of tears. I rarely get stomachaches unless I consume a large quantity of dairy products but it's lactose free! And my friend got a stomachache as well, and she's not even lactose intolerant. But we were both suffering after Bubble Bubble. And as delicious as it is (albeit the color kinda threw me off. Why is it brown?) I won't be returning (for real, this time) because a stomachache is not worth boba. read more
