This restaurant is located in the General Morgan Hotel. Hotel is amazing. The restaurant is the only fine dining restaurant in Greeneville, TN. We got in late on Friday so we ordered at the restaurant and they brought the food to our room. Great service. I ordered the Duck appetizer and the tuna salad. The tuna was obviously frozen and parts of it was still frozen. Salad was not good at all. The duck was ok but probably should be on something different then the bread it was served on. My husband had the prime rib and he would have given it a 3 out of 5 stars. Creme brulee was good but the top sugar layer was so thin it was soft. They have a small selection of wine and alcohol if you drink. I expected better but maybe it would have been if we could have sat down and ate. It's definately not kid friendly. read more

Awesome dining experience tonight! Fancy downtown restaurant but No Dress Code so I felt welcome in capris and flip flops. I chose duck, potato cake and roasted radishes. The chef graciously substituted braised spinach for most of the radishes since I didn't think it would be very yummy. However the radishes were really good....I may have a new favorite veggie! The duck was more done than medium rare but they took a % off of my ticket so no complaints. I can def see coming back here! read more

I took my wife to what I was hoping would be a nice upscale Christmas Buffet. After looking on line I found Brumley's Restaurant in Greenville, TN. Their menu caught my attention Prime Rib, Oysters, Shrimp and more. I gave them a call and was assured we would not be disappointed after all it was ONLY $48.00/person. I was ok with the price as I'm the one that chose to go knowing that. When we arrived for out 1:30 reservation. I was impressed at the décor and decorations. We were seated at out table. I went to the cold Seafood Bar only to find there were no Oysters as their menu on line indicated. I then went to the soup station only to find Chicken & Rice (Not the Seafood Bisque) again as their on line menu stated! I asked our waitress and her reply was she didn't know why there was none out. I asked to speak to a Manager and (Becky) came to my table and when I asked her the same question I was told "I will bring up your concerns in our Wednesday Mgr Meeting) but did offer to "comp" our desserts on our next visit! In my option Becky should have done something for this visit as there might not be a second if this is how a concern is handled with a customer sitting there. Haven't had a bad meal ever from Brumley's. From the day we first got here in 2018 until the last time we visited their meals have been amazing. Service is also tops. My wife and I heard about Brumley's but were skeptical because it was inside a hotel. Boy were we surprised. We went for brunch and the food was amazing. We both had the omelette. I had the sausage and peppers and she had the ham and cheese. The eggs were perfectly cooked. The ranch potatoes were really good. The atmosphere was incredible and the service was fantastic. If you go get Grace as your server. She was fantastic. Made some great suggestions. You won't go wrong heading to Brumley's inside the General Morgan Inn. read more

Service and atmosphere were brilliant. They offer a show menu on days where there is an event at the NPAC so be aware of that. Food was definitely good and interesting but not the quality and portion size I would expect for a restaurant at this price point. read more

One of the best restaurants in E TN. Really inspired food. The menu seems to change often. I have dined here 3 times since the new chef came and been very pleased with the food and service. Be sure to arrive early to have a chance to enjoy to haha skills of the bar staff. read more

Disappointed that Brumleys will not allow patrons to bring in your own special bottle of wine. Many better restaurants will charge a corkage fee to open and serve your special wine. I have reviewed Brumley's wine list and it is limited. I have some great French Bordeaux's and a good selection of Ca wines! Choose another restaurant if you want to drink your special wine! Went again last night "show nite" and expect the limited menu. The food is good not great for price point. Also pricing on show nite is higher than non show nites! Show nite menu uses Brussels spouts in many dishes, it would be nice to have an option. I am medically gluten free there were 2 option pork chop or prime rib. Show menu gets boring if you go to many shows! read more

Wish we would have known about Brumleys the first morning we stayed @ General Morgan Inn!! We stayed at the General Morgan Inn for the storytellers convention and the hotel gave us a voucher for the Catalist coffee shop. ($7.00 voucher) Because we got the voucher we went to the Catalist and waited in line for 30 minutes for one black coffee and a ham & cheese croissant. We served ourselves and had to walk to the counter for refills and they wait for refills (10 min) they were very understaffed and the overall experience was underwhelming. So, the next morning we went to Brumleys and it was AMAZING! My mother and my boyfriends mom & I had a fantastic southern bell breakfast. We got there at 10:00 am on Sunday morning (they open at 10:00) and they sat us at a beautiful table overlooking the street. They served us scones and butter shaped liked roses and coffee before we even ordered anything. I got the omelette with a side of bacon and it wax all cooked to perfection. The pancakes were amazing and the preserves for the biscuits were great. Basically, it was a girls trip and we left feeling like debutants from the 1850's. My bill was 15.00 but well worth the cost for the overall experience and memory. read more

I guess we went on an off night, after reading the reviews I took my wife there for dinner before the show. No seating so we sat at the bar. On a good note, the bartender was excellent Mr. T. was cordial and served fair portions. We ordered crab cakes and pork loin, I asked for mine to be over goulash vs. roasted cheese. Both dinners were Luke warm and my pork loin was maybe 3 oz. Our total tab was almost $100 total. We will try again and this time make reservations! read more

Our most recent visit to Brumley's was a great experience. Pleasant surroundings, attentive service and good food. I must mention that I live in Greeneville and have been to Brumley's several times since it's start-up. Past experiences were varied since chefs and menus changed frequently. I think they've got it now. A more varied menu with some interesting appetizers, salads, and some modest priced plates along with the steaks, salmon & scallops helps everyone find something on the menu they can enjoy. We tried several several salads and appetizers including the Charcuterie, Pobalano Peppers stuffed with pieces of filet, Crab beignets, Pecan Chicken Salad and Antipasti Salad. Everything was well prepared and very tasty. Since Mr is picky, he thought some stronger cheese would have made the Charcuterie better - I like mild cheese so I was happy:) Only disappointment was desert - cake was obviously thawed from frozen and very dry. I will follow up in a month or two and see if they are still doing well. read more

Great service. Very poor execution of what could be an excellent menu. Dry food that was obviously sitting on the counter long before served. We asked for olive oil and vinegar and got two kinds of vinegar, white and red. Lamb overdone. Broken glassware. Disappointing for the price. read more

Had an amazing culinary experience at Brumleys. Ambiance was excellent, beautiful setting in a lovely 19th century hotel. Service was great, friendly enthusiastic staff eager to please. Food was fantastic. Local farm to table plates that were an epicurean delight. Every course was as good or better than the previous. Presentation, flavors, originality, and quality of the fare was far and away the best dining experience I have had in East TN in many years. I highly recommend a visit soon. This restaurant was a pleasant surprise. I was in Greenville for work and stopped here for lunch. I ordered the salmon with a pesto sauce. It was cooked perfectly and the sauce complimented the salmon. I've been back several times since then. read more

Last night we went to Brumley's for a Tapas & Jazz event. We shared all of the tapas, except for the shrimp cocktail. There was Crispy Hickory Smoked Chicken Croquettes with Alabama White BBQ Sauce, Cumin Roasted Heirloom Carrots with Saffron Yogurt, Harissa Vinaigrette, Pickled Carrots, Pomegranate and Crispy Red Quinoa, Buffalo Cauliflower with Chives and Cruze Buttermilk Blue Cheese Dip, Crispy Fried Brussels Sprouts with Benton's Tennessee Bacon, Spicy Honey, Mexican Parmesan and Pickled Red Onions, and Black Eyed Pea Hummus with Griddled Flatbread, Georgia Olive Oil, Fried Chickpeas and Aleppo Pepper. Everything was good or better with our favorites being the croquettes and brussels sprouts and it was enjoyable sitting in the lobby, eating, drinking, and listening to the musician. We really love the direction that the newest chef has taken Brumley's. He is creating nice combinations of flavors with a good emphasis on vegetables. read more

Brumley's is located in the General Morgan Hotel. I stayed in the hotel on a recent business trip to Greeneville. I do not write many reviews; however, the dinner at Brumley's justified writing. It was outstanding! I ordered a wedge salad, rack of lamb and chocolate brulle. All dishes exceeded my expectations. The lamb was cooked to perfection, and the side dishes were perfect. Don't waste your time or money. Living in large cities across the country must spoil me. When I return home, I always wish that there was a really nice restaurant in Greeneville... unfortunately there isn't - at least as far as food quality is concerned. I've eaten at Brumley's a couple of times, and each time been thoroughly disappointed. The first time (several years ago) was a catered event at which I had an extremely overcooked spinach and cheese stuffed chicken breast. The side dishes were evidently not memorable, but the dessert was; it was an absolutely horrid sponge-like cake with a rancidly sweet sauce. I also dined there not long ago, at my out-of-town friend's suggestion (I didn't have the heart to tell her of my previous bad experiences). I had the crab cakes and mushroom and spinach crepes. As a crab cake connoisseur, I almost always have them if listed on a menu, and I can attest that Brumley's were some of the worst (if not the worst) I've ever had. Sarah's recommendation to skip the seafood is sound. The crepes were good, not great, but much more palatable than the crab cakes. I believe that Brumley's specialty is the brunch/lunch buffets, but I've never been to the restaurant outside of dinner. My dinner experiences have left me with little incentive to give the buffets a chance. read more
