First of all, let me begin by saying this was a trip to the bar area of this restaurant. I was in town visiting friends and they have a regular routine on Friday. They go to Aubrey's for drinks with friends they've met there who also have made this their favorite spot on Friday. Anyway, the bartenders Sid and Brian are friendly and great servers. I really wanted to like this place because the bartender was friendly, the Pacifico beer was ice cold, and they have an excellent tap list. The crispy potatoes were also good, and the Parmesan spinach tasted okay. However, the meal ended up causing a severe health issue for both my husband and myself. I ordered the fish and chips and was highly disappointed by the food quality. It wasn't the thick, flaky pub-style fish with a light crust you expect; instead, it was thin, heavily breaded, and tasted like a frozen product. I didn't care for the lemon caper sauce or malt vinegar combination and only ate a few small pieces of fish and two bites of the spinach side. That dinner (along with morning coffee with cream) was all I had consumed that entire day. Around midnight, I woke up with agonizing stomach cramps and spent the next several hours alternately vomiting and dealing with severe diarrhea. It was a miserable experience! My husband only tasted a single piece of my fish to see what I meant about the quality, and he had the Parmesan spinach side with his own meal. On our drive home, he had to make an emergency restroom pitstop and suffered from loose stools multiple times through the night, too. Because the fish and the spinach were the only shared items between us, there was clearly a major food safety issue with one of them. Management needs to urgently investigate their seafood storage, handling, or spinach prep temperatures. Drink here for the cold beer, but be extremely cautious with the food! read more

I have heard a lot about this restaurant and was excited to give it a try but it wasn't anything special. First I ordered the Caesar salad, and had to ask for dressing to be put on it. It wasn't anything to write home about. I got the center cut 10 oz sirloin with sweet potato fries and that was good and a hearty portion. We also ordered the Tuscan chicken, and it was the most flavorful thing we ordered. Our waiter was lovely and very attentive. I will not be coming back unfortunately. read more

Great first visit. We liked the layout -- the bar was walled off with glass which cut out noise. The waitress was attentive, and the food choices were plentiful and interesting. Late lunch, 1 PM. I had the Haystack Pasta, garden salad with Blue Cheese dressing, and a Coke! Pasta was fantabulous, cream sauce as good as I've ever had. Salad was extra, but excellent with terrific dressing. Our wait person was personable and anticipated our needs. Was the lunch expensive, maybe not, but it was served hot, with good sized portions, and worth every bit and more of the price! I will definitely be returning more and trying other menu offerings. I'm OK with waiting for a table as long as it's fair and everyone who comes in after me gets seated after me. Tonight, after I waited 30 minutes for a seat, a couple came through the front door for the first time and asked to speak to the manager. Because I was standing next to the greeter when this happened, it became clear to me that the manager knew these people. I didn't think anything more of it and bided my time another five minutes until our buzzer vibrated and we went to the greeter stand. She asked us if a booth was OK. I said sure, but I'd rather sit in the bar area. She said unfortunately, someone else just took our table in the bar area! I asked her if they couldn't be kicked out, but she said the manager had OK'd it. When I looked at the table in the corner of the bar that she said should have been mine, there was the couple that just walked in the door! Now, I don't know if the manager OK'd that, or if that couple just felt like the rules were only meant for the little people like me. Either way, it isn't OK. So, my lesson here is twofold: A-If you are told you need to wait for a table at Aubrey's, don't. Just take one instead of stupidly following the rules like we did. OR, B-Don't go to Aubrey's. I've been here a few times. Great food great service a little pricey just a little. But it's very fine. Food taste great and the service is fabulous. So if you don't mind to pay a little a few more dollars to enjoy yourself eating out. I recommend this place to the fullest go and enjoy yourself very clean. Staff is very happy. Went there last night and the food was mostly good. the friends we were with had the prime rib and a filet but unfortunately the Medium Prime Rib ordered came out well done and Medium Well filet came out rare. Other than that the food was good. I ordered the Rattlesnake pasta which was good but no kick to it and my wife enjoyed the ribs. Our waitress was very attentive and she provided good service though I think a really good waitress would have noticed the screw up on the meat doneness. I am sure we will be back to try it again! Sunday afternoon dinner. The restaurant wasn't crowded at all. We were seated right away but by the side door, which wasn't ideal but we stayed. Our waitress was SO friendly & very attentive. I had the strawberry salad & it was delicious & huge! There was enough to take home for the next day. My husband had the chicken tenders & he said they were very good as well. He also got the squash casserole which I ended eating most of it because it was delicious as well. The bread was just ok. Not bad, but not the best either. All in all, we will definitely return to the Greeneville Aubrey's. read more

We eat here a lot. I love their Pizza Rockefeller and Rattlesnake Pasta. The only thing that was super annoying on our visit this past Friday was the selection of loud head banger music playing. There was no available seating in the restaurant section so we sat at a little table in the bar area. The music was so loud that the waitress struggle to hear us to take our order. When asked who controls the music that is playing, the waitress replied saying the bartender. I told her that it was horrible and too loud. Nothing was done about it. At minimum she should have asked that it be turned down a bit. You want to relax and talk to your company when you're enjoying your meal. Instead we just didn't talk because you had to scream over the music. Needless to say, I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Next time I will check the music before I decide to stay. ‍ To the Management: you should have a neutral type of music playing. Most definitely not metal music! read more

The best place to grab some drinks and good food if you are in town. If you are going here during the weekdays they have some really good happy hour deals. The ambience, food, collection of beers on the tap are way beyond any other bar and restaurant around the area. It has a very huge seating capacity and good staff. We were traveling back home to New York after attending a wedding in Cartersville, GA. Wanting to stop to eat (and not wanting to eat fast food), we looked around for something that offered casual dining. Aubrey's was a little farther away from our route than we wanted, but it had good reviews. Am I glad we stopped here. The food was really good (and I mean REALLY good). My daughter had the Rooster Grill sandwich, my wife had the Chicken Salad Club and I had the Cranberry Chicken Salad. We absolutely devoured the food. Our waitress, Bethany, recommended the Apple Cobbler, my wife had the Key Lime pie and my daughter had the Peanut Butter pie. It was really good and it was not that expensive. I would most definitely visit an Aubrey's if I am ever in the area again. And a shoutout to Bethany who is very friendly and professional. read more

Visiting family here in Tennessee and we went to Aubrey's for dinner & trivia (Wednesday nights). It was Thanksgiving eve, so trivia wasn't on the menu; but my cranberry chicken salad and craft beer were excellent! It seems like a popular place; was pretty busy, yet our waiter, Mickey, was friendly & helpful. My salad was huge and looked as appealing as it tasted. The Cubano Coffee Brown from Alliance Brewing was a craft success as well. My taste buds definitely left Aubrey's quite pleased. read more
