After residing in Greeneville TN for 1 1/2 years we decided to give Echo Station a try. Tonight…read morethey had a chef provide some Italian food which I will describe. Inside contained a hodgepodge of mixed tables and chairs along with two cabinets filled with glasses for drinks. As you enter you provide proof of age and get a wristband after proving your credit card to capture the charges you pick a table. My spouse had one full glass of beer then tried a flight of different beers and liked the cherry flavored one best. I stuck with ice water as it was a very hot evening and although they had lots of fans it was a bit uncomfortable. I would return again when the cooler temperatures return. You can select any board game to play for $4 a game which we decided to skip this time. They had 4 large tv's and a dart game on another wall. Apparently they plan to add some virtual reality games in the future. I tried the meatball sub without the olive medley, there was very little cheese, the bread was soggy but the sauce and meatballs were fine. I skipped the bread. My spouse had the sausage rigatoni which was very good but extremely hot, we had to let it cool a bit. He wished the two pieces of garlic bread were a bit larger. We let after eating due to high temps inside. We did see a band getting ready to setup and play. I would definitely return when cooler temperatures return to play a game and enjoy food.

First of all, let me begin by saying this was a trip to the bar area of this restaurant. I was in…read moretown visiting friends and they have a regular routine on Friday. They go to Aubrey's for drinks with friends they've met there who also have made this their favorite spot on Friday. Anyway, the bartenders Sid and Brian are friendly and great servers. If you enjoy a variety of beer types, Aubrey's has you covered. Ask for a taster of the PB&J beer. I know it sounds weird but it's actually pretty tasty. If you live nearby and feel the need to socialize and maybe meet a few new people, come to Aubrey's and ask for Sharon. She is one of the regulars and has never met a stranger

The crispy potatoes were also good, and the Parmesan spinach tasted okay. However, the meal ended up causing a severe health issue for both my husband and myself. I ordered the fish and chips and was highly disappointed by the food quality. It wasn't the thick, flaky pub-style fish with a light crust you expect; instead, it was thin, heavily breaded, and tasted like a frozen product. I didn't care for the lemon caper sauce or malt vinegar combination and only ate a few small pieces of fish and two bites of the spinach side. That dinner (along with morning coffee with cream) was all I had consumed that entire day. Around midnight, I woke up with agonizing stomach cramps and spent the next several hours alternately vomiting and dealing with severe diarrhea. It was a miserable experience! My husband only tasted a single piece of my fish to see what I meant about the quality, and he had the Parmesan spinach side with his own meal. On our drive home, he had to make an emergency restroom pitstop and suffered from loose stools multiple times through the night, too. Because the fish and the spinach were the only shared items between us, there was clearly a major food safety issue with one of them. Management needs to urgently investigate their seafood storage, handling, or spinach prep temperatures. Drink here for the cold beer, but be extremely cautious with the food!

The locals raved over the nachos and I heard them ask for the recipe. I'm here to rave to you over the side salad. You get a choice of "boring fries" (their name not mine) or a side salad with your sandwich. Holy cow, that's the best side salad I've ever had. No boring iceberg and insipid tomatoes here. Spring greens, sweet onion, shaved fennel, gourmet tomatoes, pepitas (pumpkin seeds), Craisins and lots of fresh herbs with an amazing house-made vinaigrette dressing. Impressive. Absolutely make a stop here and see for yourself.

Killer vibe inside with 10 seat bar, 2 lounge areas, hightop seating and a large/covered dog and kid friendly patio. Best chicken sandwich and roast beef sandwich in all of WNC. All the sides, apps and desserts are amazing and worth going back to fryer everything on the menu. Chef Dano(founder of Root Down) started with a food truck rocking out at all those amazing Pisgah Brewery outdoor shows and most recently ran the food program at salvage station(RIP). Our guy is back and now are doing the same high quality tasty fare in beautiful West Black Mountain
