I convinced my wife to try a small Italian restaurant we had seen many times. I thought it could have been a Mexican restaurant, and judging by the name it could have been. Casa Express had been a Pizza Hut I think and my wife had poopooed it until last week. What a good find it is! We have been back twice since our first experience there. This was our second time at this restaurant after we had visited a couple years ago. Savannah greeted us and got us seated promptly and got our order of drinks and appetizers going right away. We remembered the garlic knots being some of the best that we had ever had and a slice of banana split cake that was extraordinary, so we started with two orders of the garlic knots for the four of us to start, to one of which we added pepperoni. Sure enough, these things are extraordinary! They didn't need the pepperoni, though. We all prefered the regular knots. The restaurant is pretty big on the inside and there were only two other tables of patrons on a Friday night, but Savannah had great energy and we enjoyed ourselves. -Point One daughter got a pizza, and the other got a salad, and my wife and I shared lasagna. All of these main dishes were just so-so (The pizza was better when we reheated it at home the next day in a cast iron skillet, actually.) They did not have the banana split cake this time around, so we opted for a slice of cheesecake and a chocolate suicide cake. The cheesecake was good, but the chocolate suicide cake was moist and delicious! If we find ourselves in the area again and decide to eat here, I think we might just get garlic knots and cake! Tabasco and red pepper already on the table, love that! The garlic cheese knots are so good, fresh, warm and gooey. The service is friendly. The building is an old pizza place. It could use some updating but that doesn't affect the food. All the local patrons seem to be happy. As far as the pizza. I like greasy, soft crust pizza. I know a lot of people don't but I do so it didn't bother me. But I took the picture of the greasy napkins from where we blotted the grease in case this kind of thing upsets your stomach. We went for our 3rd visit here and they are consistently good! They were pretty busy but not packed yet and we were seated right away. The hostess could use some work on not scowling but she was efficient. Our server came right away and was very pleasant. Now to the important stuff: the food! It was excellent! I ordered the 10" Stromboli without pepperoni or mushrooms. It was made perfectly and came out hot and fresh. I was pleasantly surprised that it had a lot of Italian sausage, mozzarella, seasonings and a rich tomato sauce. These things are lacking and bland in some other local eateries. The first bite was as good as the last! It was so large and stuffed, even I could not finish it. My hubs decided to order 2 appetizers instead of an entree, because why not? He opted for the cheesy garlic knots and jalapeno poppers, which were one of their specials of the day. He was thrilled with both! The owner stopped by and was gracious enough to give us a big slice of German chocolate cake when he found out we had trouble getting drink refills. Finally! Real chicken wings that you can bite into. Not these two second strip the meat to the bone, so called chicken wings that I have experienced. To be fair, I haven't tried every local chicken wing offering but these are the best so far. The fried mushrooms were huge and equally delicious. Extra star for military/veteran discount. Casa Express was just that, fine Italian dining at a very fair price, Greeneville residents & it's visitors will love Casa Express, if they're wanting true Italian food! We did First of all, we were greeted by friendly servers & then we were allowed to eat at a booth or a table of our choice. The waitress, Nikki was excellent & waited on us as a server should, met all our needs that were her responsibility & kept our glasses full (thank you Nikki, you were great!). We've dined here about once a month since the beginning of the year. Food has always been good, service has always been friendly and attentive, and the restaurant is clean. The ambiance is casual and not overly noisy. I've tried different meals each time. Last night I had a 10" calzone with pepperoni and black olives. It was absolutely delicious. I was impressed that the cheese and filling went all the way to each edge (whereas at other places, they don't do that and you just get big bites of the crust only in the corners). It was seasoned well and is extremely well priced for the amount that you receive. My aunt had the lasagna, which is one of her go-to favorite dishes here. It's a great dining experience for families, couples and groups and they have a decent variety of items to choose from to make everyone happy. read more

I'm giving 4 stars because we really do like this place , I get the 10" pizza and am always happy with it. My husband usually gets the hoagies and he seems to like them but there are things that could use an update. The meat on the sandwiches is never enough, there are just a few pieces and the meat looks like pre packaged meat from the grocery store, thin and unappealing. I have never tried the sandwiches because of this. They cost around $10 and comes with chips. We were told by our waitress that we could sub the chips For fries then without being told we're charged a $2 up charge. I don't mind spending more for what I want but I really appreciate transparency, which we absolutely did not get. The other thing that I am not really happy about is when I received my bill and we were paying with card we were charged a fee for using our card. To me that is just the cost of doing business and you don't put that fee on to your customers. Like I said we do like this restaurant but it would be great if these two items were taken into consideration. read more

Greasy food beyond belief, My pizza brought no relief. Two flying roaches joined the fun, Turning dinner into a run. The staff was nice, I must confess, But that alone can't fix this mess. For a meal that's more fright than delight, Bring bug spray and an appetite. read more

An Italian restaurant with freshly made pizzas( numerous toppings available) and delicious pasta dishes. Service is excellent and so friendly. I had the veggie pizza with alfredo sauce the small was $10 plenty for two women, and loaded with fresh beautiful vegetables. Will be back often! read more

The spaghetti with marinara was good but the serving was small and for the price it was not worth it. The salad needed much improvement and the bread was not good. We hope they improve and will give it one more try at another time read more
