Casa Express had been a Pizza Hut I think and my wife had poopooed it until last week. What a good find it is! We have been back twice since our first experience there. The people are very inviting and the food is excellent. You'll have to try for yourself and see what a hidden gem it is. Side note: try the lasagna

We remembered the garlic knots being some of the best that we had ever had and a slice of banana split cake that was extraordinary, so we started with two orders of the garlic knots for the four of us to start, to one of which we added pepperoni. Sure enough, these things are extraordinary! They didn't need the pepperoni, though. We all prefered the regular knots. The restaurant is pretty big on the inside and there were only two other tables of patrons on a Friday night, but Savannah had great energy and we enjoyed ourselves. -Point One daughter got a pizza, and the other got a salad, and my wife and I shared lasagna. All of these main dishes were just so-so (The pizza was better when we reheated it at home the next day in a cast iron skillet, actually.) They did not have the banana split cake this time around, so we opted for a slice of cheesecake and a chocolate suicide cake. The cheesecake was good, but the chocolate suicide cake was moist and delicious! If we find ourselves in the area again and decide to eat here, I think we might just get garlic knots and cake! And maybe a to-go pizza to reheat at home

Inside no real decor to speak to. The booth we sat at had taped up seats, as much as a 2 foot by 2ft spot. The ceiling had watermarks and dirt stains, which was not pleasant to look at. I will say our waitress was very responsive and did an excellent job. We were served breadsticks with a side of sauce. Unfortunately the sauce was very sweet like sugar was added or it came out of a can/jar. I felt the fried zucchini was acceptable when eating it with ranch sauce. I had the Stromboli with eggplant, meatballs, peppers, onions and mozzarella cheese. I felt the onions were a bit thick. Again the same sweet sauce was served. I ate only half and brought the rest home. My spouse had the veal Parmesan with a side of spaghetti and meat sauce. Spouse mentioned the veal was super thin and was something he wouldn't order again. The desserts looked good so we took two slices to go. My spouse had the carrot cake and I got a multi layered chocolate cake with chocolate shavings. It took both of us two days to finish our cake slices. I won't return for dine in but may try a sandwich for takeout. The restaurant really needs a refresh and to reduce the menu options and change the sauce.

She knows the menu like the back of her hand. She steered me toward the easiest and least expensive options for my lunch. The food is very good. The crispy potatoes were also good, and the Parmesan spinach tasted okay. However, the meal ended up causing a severe health issue for both my husband and myself. I ordered the fish and chips and was highly disappointed by the food quality. It wasn't the thick, flaky pub-style fish with a light crust you expect; instead, it was thin, heavily breaded, and tasted like a frozen product. I didn't care for the lemon caper sauce or malt vinegar combination and only ate a few small pieces of fish and two bites of the spinach side. That dinner (along with morning coffee with cream) was all I had consumed that entire day. Around midnight, I woke up with agonizing stomach cramps and spent the next several hours alternately vomiting and dealing with severe diarrhea. It was a miserable experience! My husband only tasted a single piece of my fish to see what I meant about the quality, and he had the Parmesan spinach side with his own meal. On our drive home, he had to make an emergency restroom pitstop and suffered from loose stools multiple times through the night, too. Because the fish and the spinach were the only shared items between us, there was clearly a major food safety issue with one of them. Management needs to urgently investigate their seafood storage, handling, or spinach prep temperatures. Drink here for the cold beer, but be extremely cautious with the food!
