Not sure if it's the case with Zaxby locations elsewhere. Came in this afternoon to have lunch with friends. My wife wanted a cup of water since she's not a fan of soft drinks. As we're concluding the transaction I said 'we didn't order a cup of pickles for a quarter'. She said they don't have a button for water, so if you order water they ring it up as a cup of pickles. I said, 'you're charging us a quarter for a cup of water?' Yup. Now, it's not about the quarter, but it appears to be really cheesy compared with others in the fast food space. C'mon, Zaxby's, you can do better than nickle and diming your customers.

Casa Express had been a Pizza Hut I think and my wife had poopooed it until last week. What a good find it is! We have been back twice since our first experience there. This was our second time at this restaurant after we had visited a couple years ago. Savannah…read moregreeted us and got us seated promptly and got our order of drinks and appetizers going right away. We remembered the garlic knots being some of the best that we had ever had and a slice of banana split cake that was extraordinary, so we started with two orders of the garlic knots for the four of us to start, to one of which we added pepperoni. Sure enough, these things are extraordinary! They didn't need the pepperoni, though. We all prefered the regular knots. The restaurant is pretty big on the inside and there were only two other tables of patrons on a Friday night, but Savannah had great energy and we enjoyed ourselves. -Point One daughter got a pizza, and the other got a salad, and my wife and I shared lasagna. All of these main dishes were just so-so (The pizza was better when we reheated it at home the next day in a cast iron skillet, actually.) They did not have the banana split cake this time around, so we opted for a slice of cheesecake and a chocolate suicide cake. The cheesecake was good, but the chocolate suicide cake was moist and delicious! If we find ourselves in the area again and decide to eat here, I think we might just get garlic knots and cake! And maybe a to-go pizza to reheat at home

Cheddar should not be the first word in the name of this item as there is so little. A better name would be, "Bit O' Cheese" as I could only find a small bit of cheese in the round. I am not impressed, so I am confused why people line up for them. I had a bacon biscuit that was ok and the gravy biscuits were ok. The food was not hot, it was warm if that. I will not get up early again for a Pal's breakfast!

Being from Connecticut and only having stayed in TN twice, I have never been to a Cook Out. I did…read morehear a lot about it from Southern word of mouth, but they are definitely a regional chain that operates in the South. If there's any in other regions of the nation, I'd love to know, especially if they ever end up in the Northeast. So after I was taken to a Bible Study, my brother finally took me to my first Cook Out. For those back home who visit the South, don't sleep on these! They will definitely fill for a cheap price. How cheap you ask? Two tray meals will only set you back $16 and change. To compare, I had to pay almost the exact same price for one meal at WingStop where I live! And for how much you pay, these actually pretty good! My brother had the Double Tray with a chicken quesadilla and hush puppies. Mine was the BBQ Tray with the cheddar bites and the walkin' taco. The barbecue is about as good as it gets for a chain restaurant, and the meal is miles better than any McSad's you would go to. The walkin' taco I needed a spoon to eat because that's how you get inside the bag. The cheddar bites could be better, but they're still about Wayback Burgers quality of food which isn't a bad thing at all. If this is how your typical Cook Out gets, then you got a good regional chain anytime you make a trip to the South.

Cook Out...what are you trying to be? If inconsistent is your goal, stop - you've achieve it. If…read moretasty is your goal, stop - you're not going to get there the way you're going. I've tried a number of Cook Outs across Tennessee. Greeneville's location is, by far, the worst. At this location I can't tell if they are closing the doors for good and just want to get rid of things before the doors lock, or they've just opened for the first time and have no idea what to do. My experience at other locations creates a glimmer of hope at the Greeneville location, but when I try it I am typically left wondering how this location keeps the lights on, but the long lines prove me wrong time and time again. Please, let me help, Cook Out. If the burger patty is crunchy, it should not be placed on the burger. If sauce is to be added, please don't try to add enough sauce to overpower (or maybe soak?) the dry, leathery patty. Just get a fresh patty and use that one. Yes, it's fast food. Yes, you should try to work with expediency. No, you should not do so to create a mess in creating, wrapping, and packing the food. While you may have decent shakes, I remind you that Sonic and Dairy Queen are far, far too close for you to rest on your laurels at better service. If you've read this far and are looking for food recommendations, I recommend you go to Pal's, just a short drive down the road.
