It's ideally located in Clifton and has ample parking. The space is huge and there's no chance of running out of seats. I came here on a Saturday morning and this place was busy. We had to wait about 10 minutes to order. I ordered the herb turkey bagel sandwich. The price isn't too bad. However, I had an e-gift card of $10 and their system just couldn't process it. The guy tried to put in manually and he said it wasn't working. Which is so weird? I paid through my card but this guy absolutely gave no suggestions on how i can deal with this. This is for the Clifton location. The coffee was cold. The iced tea was warm and there was no ice. No fountain drink machines, just some bottles in a refrigerated unit and if the unit doesn't make the drinks cold enough there is no ice machine to make them cold again. I asked for my bagel to toasted and it wasn't. There was a family sitting across from me and the father said their bagels weren't toasted either. He thought either something was wrong with machine used to toast the bagels or it was running them too fast through the toaster oven. Also, the dining room area looks rundown with half the seating they used to have. The family I mentioned earlier had to remove the chairs from on top of the tables in order to sit on them. There is a problem every time we go into this location. Sometimes, the wait is exceptionally long -- 20 minutes for a couple bagels. Usually, the order is made wrong. Today, they "ran out of plain dough" so most bagels were not available. They didn't have a sign at the door or even the register. The cashier didn't apologize. We waited in line, then asked the cashier if any more bagels were coming. She told us, no, that they didn't have any dough and immediately turned and joked with another employee about the woman's hair style. I'm a huge Bruegger's fan - but this location is absolutely awful. I wait at least 20 minutes for a bagel whether they are understaffed or have 10 people behind the counter as they did today. They're completely unorganized and usually get the bagels wrong. I've gone home with the wrong bagel 3 times. I wish I could avoid this location but it's the only one near me. As I'm standing in line currently they got two customers orders wrong and two people have asked when their order is coming up. Ridiculous! Boiled bagels for the win. Bruegger's is all we have right now, so when I have a hankering I come here. This spot is recently renovated and is super sleek inside. Our go-to is the Western breakfast sammie. Another huge win? The bagel bundle perfect for housewarming parties, or to save the day when someone's sick. The onion and chive is delish. Absolutely amazing place to try out new types of bagels. They boast of New York style bagels which have minimum ingredients (no oil). They also customize things for vegans which is great. We went for Honey Grain Bagel with Sun-dried tomatoes and their signature bagel - Leonardo Da Veggie (Onion Bagel with Hummus (substituted against cream cheese)). For the drink, we had a small Chai Tea Latte with Soy Milk. Both the bagels were amazing - not chewy at all and perfectly baked. I loved Honey Grain Bagel more though. Its combination with sundried tomatoes was great. Definitely to be tried. I liked the sandwich - not so amazing - but surely a good option for vegetarians and vegans. They are flexible to change the bread and cheese with non-dairy options - so we substituted Asiago Parmesan with an Onion bagel and cream cheese with hummus. So other vegans may want to try some other combination in case that turns out to be better. Chai Tea Latte was great - after Starbucks, I think this is the next best non-dairy Chai Tea Latte we loved. The staff is amazing - good flexibility to make changes based on eating preferences and also suggesting good options in case you ask one. It looks like they are big time into catering as they were promoting it around in the store. The ambiance is amazing - plenty of seating in terms of tables and booths. There is good natural light with glass walls on almost two sides but specifically, the direct sunlight would be in the mornings since the seating area is facing east. They have many flavors of cream cheese made in-house for purchase available. Overall, great place for quick bites and beverages. Must try if you are in Cincinnati. read more

Put that bad boy on a toasted sesame seed or onion bagel and have them add on some jalapeno schmear and it is on like Donkey Kong! I legitimately do enjoy this bagel chain. Good food, decent prices, and some tasty bagel options like the Rosemary Olive or the Pretzel Bagel keep me coming back. This location had been closed for eons and, while it is clean and shiny on the inside, I'm not entirely sure that the renovation was an upgrade on the customer experience side. The menu is Panera-style overwhelming and if you decide to grab the paper one offered, just know that it varies slightly from the overhead board. I could stand in the line for two days and still not be entirely certain about what I am ordering. What's included? What is an add on? IS there a combo option? Is there a side item available? The bagels are affordable, but your bill can skyrocket if you include drinks, sides, or desserty bits. I don't know about you, but breakfast is not where I want to have to do my most intense thinking. It puts customers into a kind of a stupor. All three customers that ordered before me were debating on what they always get for simplicity sake or attempting to navigate the new menu. One man attempted to ford the unknown river but aborted his mission halfway through the cashier's explanation and meekly announced that an everything bagel with cream cheese would suffice. I wish there was just a list of bagels, cheeses and spreads, veggies and other add ons. Then you can get all fancy with yourself. Still, it's bagels and they are delicious. I love coming here to do work and enjoy a nice bagel sandwich. The staff are typically very nice too. Today they were singing! Today I got the Skinny Zesty Egg White breakfast sandwich. It is really tasty! Everything bagel, egg whites, Swiss, turkey sausage, and a roasted tomato spread. I like to add lettuce, tomato and onion to most sandwiches for some extra filling and veggies. Messy but very good! Their coffees aren't worth it though. I'd rather get a Coke fountain drink for caffeine. read more

If anyone keeps track I check in at Bruegger's more than any other place i go to. I have a difficult time with this place for a few reasons. I enjoy Brueggers and the relaxing environment and decently priced offerings. There is just one thing that I really don't like...and it's Bagels. I don't know why, maybe I just ate too many as a child. I'm oblivious to any particular reason why I don't enjoy Bagel's. But, living with my girlfriend of 5 years I am forced to visit Brueggers often. That is, visit the place that offers her FAVORITE breakfast item; bagels. And boy do they have Bagel's. They even let you watch them make them fresh through a window before you order. I don't hate Brueggers. Like I said I just dislike Bagels. Bruggers though does a nice job of offering things besides bagels for people like me. They have a good selection of breakfast sandwiches on the menu, or you can just make your own. Plus, they offer more bread options than just bagels, the western breakfast sandwich on a garlic softwich being my favorite. Ordering is fast enough but also quite confusing for a newbie. You order lunchroom style down a counter with the next available employee calling you down to there portion of the line. There are several drink stations with vitamin waters and smoothies, and juice drinks along the lines or your may order soda or coffee at the end of the line. I must warn though, I don't feel their coffee is that great. Has a cheap taste to it. Better off going next door and getting some UDF coffee, and heck while your at it get your other drinks their too, they're on the cheaper side. Bruegger's has definitely grown on me and I wouldn't be surprised if they went up a star in my rating in the near future because I keep finding new items that keep me a satisfied enough. A little heads up, Brueggers parking lot is disgustingly small for what they require and in the morning be prepared to either wait, or park across the street. Lifelong bagel eater and have always enjoyed Bruegger's, but I cannot see myself returning after my wife and I's experience this morning. I like to preface this comment and note that my family and I have patronized Bruegger's Bagels for a number of years at various locations throughout the Cincinnati area, but the service that we received today at the Clifton location along with the condescending attitude and racially insensitive interactions with staff was truly appalling. We were actually at the same location on Saturday morning and received excellent customer service. However, today, when my wife and I approached the counter to place our order, we were barely acknowledged by the man in the black polo shirt with tattoos on his arms. He repeatedly exhibited impatience and asked us to repeat our order. There were many exasperation moments on his account, including remarks such as "wait, wait, wait. what?" I asked if there were any more everything bagels and he just looked at me, paused, and said blankly, no. We finally completed our order, inclusive of an iced coffee and hot coffee, and walked away, but then found there were no containers of iced coffee and all of the hot coffee was gone. It took at least ten minutes for me to get the attention of a staff member to inform him that there was no iced coffee and that they need more hot coffee. Eventually, I just swapped out my iced coffee, which never was made, for a hot coffee, which was finally made more than half-way into our visit. When our order was ready, I approached the above-mentioned staff member and he, a white male, began to speak to me in what I assume was Chinese. I was not sure what he said so I asked him to repeat himself. He then asked me if I spoke Chinese, even though not less than five minutes ago, I spoke to him, clearly, in English. I was confused to why we were even engaging in this dialogue and I walked away. My wife and I discussed what transpired and finished our meal, but it nagged me that I had to validate my identity or the staff member's interpretation of my origins when all we wanted was breakfast. I approached the young man on my way out and asked him if he was speaking Chinese to me. He smiled and indicated that he did. I asked him why he thought that was appropriate. He indicated that usually he was pretty good at ascribing racial/ethnic identity to people. I told him that this was unacceptable and that it was offensive for him to speak to Chinese to any Asian appearing person. He was silent and said nothing else. The man who was previously at the register walked over and asked "what was the problem." I gave him a brief overview of everything that occurred and then he remarked, "I will take care of it." We walked away, disgusted. What occurred was unacceptable. Not once did we receive an apology for any part of our experience. "I will take care of it" is not a suitable response. No one should patronize an establishment to have their ethnic identity called into question, especially over a bagel. read more

I've been coming here for almost 9 years.. Curious as to how the renovation has left this place excruciatingly slow. Not a quick in and out stop. 15+ minutes for a toasted bagel time and time again is grounds for me to avoid this place entirely. I thought that the drastic change in efficiency the first few times I visited after they reopened was because of new staff and a new equipment layout, but perhaps it falls on operations management. My birthday is in the month of February. I have signed up for a lot of Birthday freebies. One of them was at Bruegger's Bagels. I was excited to get the Bruegger's email last week. On the way to work Thursday I stopped in for my free bagel and cream cheese. It was going on the lunch hour but they were not busy yet. The store was out of the asiago cheese so I chose the pumpernickel with regular cream cheese. It was great! I was waited on quickly even though there was only one associate taking orders. They asked and my bagel was toasted and sliced within 2 minutes. Then off I went. My receipt has a survey for three free bagels. How cool is that! I suggest that you join the Bruegger's eClub. I don't know why there are a lot of bad reviews for this place. The place was clean and the bagels were numerous and (assumedly) fresh. The friendly workers behind the counter had me and my cinnamon raison bagel out the door in no time. Parking was right by the building and the seating area appeared to be clean as well. Perhaps a number of people are coming during rush and are impatient. Relax people. Enjoy the wait and people watch. I am sure your bagel will taste just as good if you have to wait 10 minutes.
