Great food and atmosphere! Five star service! Kelsey was attentive and friendly. We will be back!

I ordered the vegetarian eggs benedict with mozzarella cheese tomatoes and basil. The Hollandaise sauce was average the worst thing was is the cheese was cold. When the bill came it was $20 for breakfast I won't be going back. One of the worst breakfast I think I've ever had ready to work. read more

We LOOOOOVE the Broken Yolk!!! This is NOT your traditional breakfast and brunch place. EV- ER- Y- THING I have tried on the menu is the best tasting food of that specific dish I have ever had thus far. Not. Joking. Not. Exaggerating. I take everyone that ever visits me here at least one time (and usually there first visit to the valley.) This is where they request we go every single visit. "There is no need to go anywhere else. It's so cheap compared to anything in Gilbert or Scottsdale and much better tasting!" "I still want to try everything on the menu." We have yet to ever wait in line. The patio has plenty of shade with the umbrellas, And... THEY HAVE A DOG MENU. You read that right, a dog menu. Gourmet coffee and 10+ mimosa flavor options. Signature dishes and cocktails. Vegan friendly. Do it right the first time, just go to, Broken Yolk. read more

My co-workers and I stopped by promptly at 6am this morning after work (love that they open at this time)! The beverages were delicious and absolutely hit the post-work spot. The food was also delicious, I was famished so no pictures were taken BUT I ordered the meat lovers skillet with no eggs and added a side of country gravy and OMG it was so delicious. Our server Kelsey was so sweet and on her game for our 6am slap happy, tired, giggles. The dining room was spacious and clean, loved all the condiments they have right on the table as well! I'll be back :) read more

Not sure why this place has 4 Stars? Ordered breakfast 2 over med eggs, hash browns, and sausage. Eggs were over hard and the hash browns were cold and greasy. Service was good however would suggest for you to save money and go somewhere else where the kitchen knows what they are doing. Unfortunately I did not read recent reviews and looks like the cooking staff is not what they used to be and the owner is slow to respond customer feedback. read more

Love this place best breakfast ever only place I come to for breakfast. It is Bigmom approved.!

I completely love this chain of cafe's. We always order the tiki toast because it's hawaiian sweet bread French toast smothered in coconut flakes and what's not to love?? I also always indulge in 'the messy latte' it's a caramel latte that lives up to its name.. it's super delicious and covered in caramel... think Starbucks on steroids! 1#= Service 2#=Food quality 3#=accuracy 4#=timing 5#=smiles- +=The Broken Yolk read more

My son and I were going to The House of Used in Mesa and figured we would try this place for breakfast. We were seated very quickly and our server was quick with drinks and our orders. He had the hash skillet and I had the country skillet. Yummy! Lots of food and so much flavor! This place gives off a vibe of "mom and pop", it's clean, friendly and a pleasant place to eat! Definitely recommend this place read more

Ok, its again Sunday!! I was craving a hamburger during breakfast hours!! I opted for the Good morning Burger All my favorites on 1 burger.. with a side of onion rings. OMG, HEAVEN on my plate!! Chill breakfast spot, i got the cinna-cakes, very good, just super sweet and a massiveeeee serving size

Food was ok, large portion. Got our bill and it was 67 for 2 of us!! Wrong bill, server came Ack with the same bill Just a 34 credit on it, said it was the correct total. Very expensive regardless. $10 for 2 pancakes and 3.95 for a cup of coffee. Won't be back read more

Even with a slight mess up in my order, I really enjoyed my breakfast. I got the tiki French toast, a kids breakfast (eggs and bacon) and a country fried steak. Everything was exceptional. The hash browns tasted great, and I absolutely loved the tiki French toast. I will definitely order again. You can get delivery through DoorDash. Also the coffee is too sweet but tasty. read more

This was our first time coming to Broken Yolk and I cannot wait to go again. It was very busy when we arrived, line out the door. It was just the two of us and we were told the wait would be about 15 minutes (not bad at all). We were waiting for MAYBE 5 minutes and our table was ready. Our waitress came over to us right away with our drink order and she was incredibly friendly and bubbly. From the time we sat down until the time we got our food, I would say it was maybe 15 minutes. Service was super quick and everything was incredible. Portions are huge and prices are reasonable. There's not a negative thing I can think of about our experience. Look forward to going again soon! read more

We've been here several times, but today will probably be the last. There are way too many brunch options. We had bloody Mary's to start, asked for water three times.... I ordered the pick two Benedicts, when the food runner delivered it had both the same - I told her I ordered the two and she asked which ones and I told her I didn't know what they were called to which she responded, "you don't know what you ordered???" I'm sorry, I don't know the menu that well!?!?! She took my food and five minutes later the server returned with my food. It was cold, and gross (benedict with Carne asada) and she brought the other one and it was also cold (sope) and hard as a rock. She then brought waters. She was really nice and brought me a muffin and told us she took it off our bill- which is great since I didn't eat any if it. Kids pancakes were fine. Husband got chorizo con huev9s and it was hardly edible. We'll stick to first watch, Joe's farm grill, OHSO etc. read more

Seated fairly quickly even when there were people waiting to be seated. Nice quaint place with many tables and a back sectioned off place as well. Anywhere from 2 seats to larger groups. Waitress was friendly and amazing! I got the Classic Avocado Toast with poached egg and everything but bagel seasoning. Can u say scrumptious?!?! For beverage I had cold brew coffee with sugar free vanilla. Pleasantly surprised at how good it tasted ! My friend orderd the sweet trio. She liked it. Definitely loved going at 1230pm on Sunday, they close at 3. So didn't feel any pressure to leave. Great taste great place! Definitely recomme d! Breakfast and lunch options. read more

Service so-so. I ordered eggs benedict, what a disappointment. Almost had sauce, eggs over cooked and dry, came with hash brown (that were actually hash whites). The server did a speed walk by and said is everything ok and I said no, but she just kept walking. Guess she didn't hear me. I choked down the meal with lots of water. Skipped the hash whites, call me picky but I like my potatoes cooked and hot. Most likely will not return here. read more

Came here on a Sunday morning and this place was poppin! Lines and parties out the door flooding the parking lot. I'm not sure if they take reservations as I joined the waitlist on yelp. The waitlist gave us a time to check in and upon checking in found out it would be an additional 20 minutes. Make sure you arrive with patience. Once seated it was obvious our server was slightly over it worked as I took several minutes for us to get waters. The menu is absolutely huge. There's so much to choose from so I would recommend maybe peeking at it before as I was stumped on all the options. Once ordered took a while for us to get our food and upon arriving some items were slightly cold above that I will say that all the food was very delicious. It was again a waiting game for us to get our check. This was a good breakfast spot I would recommend going on the weekday! read more

Plan to wait if you go on a Sat or Sunday, but the food is totally worth it! So delightful! So many selections and everything is prepared so well, you have to try it...and you'll want to try it over and over again!!! This is a second time eating here, and it was amazing twice read more

Usual long line of people after church. However they moved the people through pretty quickly and we got a table sooner than they estimated. Had to wait 5 mins for coffee but it was FRESH. Food came fast and was very good! Ample amounts and great selection read more

Great food, large portions, server was great. A little older, interior needs an update but was clean. Even provided XL To-go cups.

Julie was awesome! My burrito was a little too spicy for me and she made sure I got another one with the sauce on the side, she even let us take the other one home. Thank you Julie! read more

Really really good chicken fried steak. The gravy made the plate. Hashbrowns a little under seasoned but eggs were cooked nicely and the sourdough toast was a hit read more

Chill spot, they have a massive serving. The service could have been a little better.

Had breakfast there. We were seated immediately and the food came out quickly. Service was good. Felt like an old NJ diner.

Took the family here for brunch. I put my name in via Yelp & we were seated within 5 minutes of my entry. I had eaten here before, the the family had not. Nice menu, lots of options. Personally, I am not a huge breakfast eater, so I just had the steel cuts oatmeal. Others had pancakes, green chili pork with eggs. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. Service was good. Food was good. By the time we left, folks were waiting out the door. Enjoyable spot for breakfast / brunch. read more

Been here 3 times and while food is very creative can be cold at times. This time carne Asada chiliquiles, caprese Benedict, and banana marscapone pancakes were all cold. Great food just hit or miss. Amazing service! We will definitely be back to try the Man vs Food challenge. read more

Yummy!! So happy we decided to try this place out today, it was soooo good!! We got there at about 9:15am and JUST beat the breakfast rush! Seriously, after we were seated right away, there was a huge rush and the wait became 15-30 minutes. Top notch customer service during this time, they were handing out fresh blueberry muffins to people who were waiting for tables! How cool is that?! They have a fantastic drink menu if you're in the mood for brunch...bloody Mary's, mimosas, mimosa flights...I'll definitely need to go back when I'm not pregnant!! I ordered the El Fuego omelette, my husband had the "No Name" omelette, and mom had the machaca plate. All food comes w choice of sides (country potatoes, hash browns, beans, or fresh fruit) and bread (English muffin, toast, blueberry muffin, or flour tortilla) The food was delicious, I will say the El Fuego delivered on its promise to be spicy! On top of the food being great, so was service! Our waiter, even though very busy, was attentive, quick, and super friendly! I think the service always makes the difference for me and you get great service at Broken Yolk! Of note, it's a big place, very clean, and decorated cute. Highly recommend but come early to avoid the wait! read more

I was out with a client and coworker and we were looking for a casual lunch spot. Our group was being indecisive when we happened to drive past Broken Yolk Cafe. I flipped a U-turn and made the decision for us. I thought it was cute enough, just a basic diner. The hostess was pleasant. I decided on lunch rather than breakfast. I got the soup, salad, sandwich combo. Berry salad, tomato soup, BLT. It was delicious! The salad was fantastic and fresh! The tomato soup was sweet with little chunks of onion and tomato in it, which I like because it makes it seem more homemade. The BLT was really good, it could have used a little more Mayo, but that is just my preference. I was pleasantly surprised with this cute little spot! My client and coworker also enjoyed their meals. read more
