EV- ER- Y- THING I have tried on the menu is the best tasting food of that specific dish I have ever had thus far. Not. Joking. Not. Exaggerating. I take everyone that ever visits me here at least one time (and usually there first visit to the valley.) This is where they request we go every single visit. "There is no need to go anywhere else. Service so-so. I ordered eggs benedict, what a disappointment. Almost had sauce, eggs over cooked and dry, came with hash brown (that were actually hash whites). The server did a speed walk by and said is everything ok and I said no, but she just kept walking. Guess she didn't hear me. I choked down the meal with lots of water. Skipped the hash whites, call me picky but I like my potatoes cooked and hot. Most likely will not return here. read more

I completely love this chain of cafe's. We always order the tiki toast because it's hawaiian sweet bread French toast smothered in coconut flakes and what's not to love?? We've been here several times, but today will probably be the last. There are way too many brunch options. We had bloody Mary's to start, asked for water three times.... I ordered the pick two Benedicts, when the food runner delivered it had both the same - I told her I ordered the two and she asked which ones and I told her I didn't know what they were called to which she responded, "you don't know what you ordered???" I'm sorry, I don't know the menu that well!?!?! She took my food and five minutes later the server returned with my food. It was cold, and gross (benedict with Carne asada) and she brought the other one and it was also cold (sope) and hard as a rock. She then brought waters. She was really nice and brought me a muffin and told us she took it off our bill- which is great since I didn't eat any if it. Kids pancakes were fine. Ok, its again Sunday!! I was craving a hamburger during breakfast hours!! I opted for the Good morning Burger All my favorites on 1 burger.. with a side of onion rings. OMG, HEAVEN on my plate!! Came here on a Sunday morning and this place was poppin! Lines and parties out the door flooding the parking lot. I'm not sure if they take reservations as I joined the waitlist on yelp. The waitlist gave us a time to check in and upon checking in found out it would be an additional 20 minutes. Make sure you arrive with patience. Once seated it was obvious our server was slightly over it worked as I took several minutes for us to get waters. The menu is absolutely huge. There's so much to choose from so I would recommend maybe peeking at it before as I was stumped on all the options. Once ordered took a while for us to get our food and upon arriving some items were slightly cold above that I will say that all the food was very delicious. It was again a waiting game for us to get our check. This was a good breakfast spot I would recommend going on the weekday! read more

This was our first time coming to Broken Yolk and I cannot wait to go again. It was very busy when we arrived, line out the door. It was just the two of us and we were told the wait would be about 15 minutes (not bad at all). We were waiting for MAYBE 5 minutes and our table was ready. Our waitress came over to us right away with our drink order and she was incredibly friendly and bubbly. From the time we sat down until the time we got our food, I would say it was maybe 15 minutes. Service was super quick and everything was incredible. Portions are huge and prices are reasonable. There's not a negative thing I can think of about our experience. Seated fairly quickly even when there were people waiting to be seated. Nice quaint place with many tables and a back sectioned off place as well. Anywhere from 2 seats to larger groups. Waitress was friendly and amazing! I got the Classic Avocado Toast with poached egg and everything but bagel seasoning. Can u say scrumptious?!?! For beverage I had cold brew coffee with sugar free vanilla. Pleasantly surprised at how good it tasted ! My friend orderd the sweet trio. She liked it. I was out with a client and coworker and we were looking for a casual lunch spot. Our group was being indecisive when we happened to drive past Broken Yolk Cafe. I flipped a U-turn and made the decision for us. I thought it was cute enough, just a basic diner. The hostess was pleasant. I decided on lunch rather than breakfast. I got the soup, salad, sandwich combo. Berry salad, tomato soup, BLT. It was delicious! The salad was fantastic and fresh! The tomato soup was sweet with little chunks of onion and tomato in it, which I like because it makes it seem more homemade. The BLT was really good, it could have used a little more Mayo, but that is just my preference. I was pleasantly surprised with this cute little spot! This place used to be great, but the kitchen staff and management have clearly stopped caring at this point. Soggy potatoes and waffles, poached eggs like lumps of rubber, sopes completely uncooked. My wife and I each had about three bites of our food and were told the food would be comped, but when the waitress brought the check she said the manager gave us free coffee and 50% off the rest. So we paid $30 ($18 plus tip) for coffee and a couple bites of substandard food. We won't be back; there's plenty of great breakfast spots in the east valley. read more

Yummy!! So happy we decided to try this place out today, it was soooo good!! We got there at about 9:15am and JUST beat the breakfast rush! Seriously, after we were seated right away, there was a huge rush and the wait became 15-30 minutes. Top notch customer service during this time, they were handing out fresh blueberry muffins to people who were waiting for tables! How cool is that?! They have a fantastic drink menu if you're in the mood for brunch...bloody Mary's, mimosas, mimosa flights...I'll definitely need to go back when I'm not pregnant!! I ordered the El Fuego omelette, my husband had the "No Name" omelette, and mom had the machaca plate. All food comes w choice of sides (country potatoes, hash browns, beans, or fresh fruit) and bread (English muffin, toast, blueberry muffin, or flour tortilla) The food was delicious, I will say the El Fuego delivered on its promise to be spicy! On top of the food being great, so was service! Our waiter, even though very busy, was attentive, quick, and super friendly! was craving biscuits and gravy, not my moms for sure! I ordered the chicken fried steak, it was good but shouldn't have put the gravy on it. My order came with two eggs, I ordered over easy. One was hard and the other the white was runny! Didn't eat those! Lines were out the door, the place was packed. Our waitress was good but way over loaded! Not sure how many tables she had, but was too many. I'll give them another shot, but I'm not going back when they're that busy. We really enjoy our time at the Broken Yolk. The food is very good and the selection is very good. The restaurant is always clean and is bright and inviting. The Broken Yolk staff is phenomenal and really takes care of their customers, we asked for Julie to be our server, and she did a great job, as does most of their staff.
