Burger for my pup!!
Candii B.

I'm always looking for dog friendly places to take my pup and Broken Yolk came up during my search and wasn't too far from home. My pup and I were promptly greeted and told to choose a table in the outdoor seating area. I ordered the Chicken & Waffle Benedict with home fries. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. My favorite aspect was the doggie menu!!! I didn't even know they had this before deciding to go here so I was thrilled. For the lovely pup I ordered 2 burger patties which he didn't hesitate to devour. The outdoor area was clean and shaded as well. We will definitely be visiting again!

Brunch with mom. 20% off on Tuesdays for seniors
Michael F.

20% off Tuesdays for seniors! I recently went with my mom for our weekly brunch, and Broken Yolk delivered on every level. Not only did we enjoy a generous 20% Tuesday senior discount, but the service was warm and attentive. As someone who's been skipping carbs and leaning into healthier choices, I was thrilled to find cottage cheese on the menu--something most breakfast spots overlook. It's the little things that make a big difference, and Broken Yolk gets it right. From the cozy vibe to the thoughtful menu options, this place has officially earned a spot in our weekly rotation. Highly recommend for anyone seeking delicious food, great service, and a wellness-friendly brunch experience.

Placed an order for pickup. Spoke with Julie, very friendly. Ordered wild West Burger and fries. Burger was like home cooked, delicious. Also ordered a BLT and onion rings. BLT on sourdough was very good, the onion rings tasted like oil was not fresh and slightly mushy. Julie was taking phone orders and waiting tables, pleasant to everyone. Another worker delivered my order to me, very nice. Indoor and outdoor seating. Thank you Broken Yolk

So don't get me wrong. I love this place. The food is amazing. The pricing is got out of control. It's now $17 for an omelette after taxes. It's almost a 20 spot. Is there anybody doing anything to control food costs? This is unreal.

Chicken & Waffle Benedict

We decided to try a new place and drove a little farther than we normally might. Unfortunately, our food was under seasoned and the avocado on the Wife's toast was really oxidized and just not looking that appealing. I went completely different and tried the chicken and waffle Benedict which was wasn't bad and would have been better with proper seasoning. The coffee is solid. The real standout is the staff. Super friendly, lots of hustle, and proactive problem solvers. Our server, took the Wife's toast off the bill, which we appreciated, as she agreed that it didn't look that great. The staff saved it, we will come back another morning and we hope that our under seasoned experience is a one off.

Grubbin acai bowl. Hit the spot after a morning at the hospital. Their iced chai latte is one of my favorite drinks to get anywhere! I order it almost every time I visit.

We come here often and the food and service are always good. The ambiance is casual and friendly. Never have had any problems and love coming here. Perfect family restaurant.

Great food and presentation, great service and good for people watching. Just have a look at the pictures and you will be tempted to try it yourself. Portions are large enough to share.

What would you recommend I get since I'm having morning sickness but going here tomorrow with some family from out of town?

Hi Kimberlee. Gosh, that is a tough question! I'm sure you know that everybody's taste's vary, and then to factor in morning sickness takes it off the charts hard to answer. We have a very large menu, and the whole menu is available all day. We…

My server was super friendly and brought me water and menu. I chose the clam chowder and fish sandwich. The chowder had a good taste, lots of clams in each bite. It feels very hipster and very retro and it just has so much personality. There is a lot of outdoor seating in what is essentially a front yard. There are tables and string lights and lots of trees and there are even a couple of playground horses. When you walk in there is a hostess desk kind of pieced together with different pieces of furniture and above it is a turning disco ball. Could there be anything better? There are booths all the way around, and there are no tables - - but you can sit at the long counter and watch your food being made. That really is the best place to sit because it is so interesting to watch them. It's amazing to me that they can keep all those balls in the air and still make all this food so delicious. There is a small bar off to one side. Make sure you go to the bathroom. The bathroom is nothing special, just a room full of graffiti and stickers, but if you look up you'll see the ceiling covered with little pinatas and a little donkey in the hallway. The menu is just what you would think for a diner menu. You can order breakfast or some sandwiches, burgers, Mac and cheese, and there is a selection of dinner entrees. Sitting at the counter we saw a plate with a steak being prepared and it looked absolutely fantastic. We were not really very hungry, and just wanted a quick small bite. Have you got that Welcome Burger, and I got the Sasha. Hubby said his Burger was good, although it was quite small. The Sasha has smoked pork and they put the pork on the grill and it becomes a crispy kind of Patty of shredded pork, then they put the crispy shredded pork patty on a noble bun with coleslaw and a fantastic horseradish sauce. My sandwich was a 10 out of 10 for sure! I kind of feel like in Phoenix there are some areas that you can go to or not, but welcome diner is a place that everybody should go to at least once. I really want to go back for breakfast which is kind of shocking because I'm not a breakfast person.

Today, May 16th at VI on Signal Butte - rough start by a waitress who told both of us "I need to know your pie order. NOW." Resturant was not busy. Not at all. It was 4:15 maybe. Slow on a SUNDAY post-winter visitor rush on a late Spring day. Rushed. I pointed to my 3-6pm dinner choice of TURKEY. I showed her. "Just as it comes. She repeated it back to me as she typed in into her handheld computer. Chicken fried steak arrived. And a sausage looking oval patty shape of stuffing. Two long finger prints in it. I wondered if she picked up my loose stuffing as it's normally served here in America, or rather the chef did this to all who request it. I told my husband to look for spit in his food. My hubby? Nicest guy ever. But when he knows I didn't want and could not manage fried beef..but I had fasted 21 hours. I needed sliced fresh high protein meat. Wait another 15 min or eat the mess on my plate? "Just eat the 'steak' I picked the stuffing apart - could not eat more than a thimble. Gummy gluten salty yuck was inedible. The FINGERPRINTS! 2 Fingertips past knuckles imprinted. I left it and hope someone there stopped to think "Why?" Our Waitress tried to make up by suddendly being nice when she walked behind me with a second piece of pie ...to go home. Thanked me for being agreeable or something. I nodded. I remember this saying if you l oh someone's attention the first three seconds and first three steps you'll spend the next 30 min trying to make them believe you're hiring. It's true. I was too tired this week to be extremely understanding but I'm never rude. I told my hubby let's both let this one go. And I said "But we won't return here." He nodded in agreement. Because I see people come in and sit down I see how tired they are and make quick calls to be able to turn their day around if only for a short time before they return home....to being a caregiver or to grieve a loss.
