Hands down my favorite breakfast spot I have found in AZ. I got the pick any two Benedict's, Golden Benedict and Sope Benedict with had browns. Both were so different but delicious. I also got one strawberry Nutella crepe on the side. Delicious overall. Our server Sarah was so sweet and helpful when trying to decide. Quick service, quick food! Highly recommend! read more

Broken Yolk Cafe - Golden State Benedict, Sope Benedict, strawberry Nutella Crepes, Meat Lover's Skillet - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

That was probably one of the worst breakfast I have ever had.... I don't write many reviews. But this place was horrendous. Bread was all stale, fruit old and mealy, my breakfast was freezing & not one order came out right. Our server was a sweet heart- that is the only reason we didn't walk out. read more

Good food great service. Always fast too. Coffee is always fresh. Never a big wait .....

Broken Yolk, with warm and accommodating staff, provided us a hearty and affordable breakfast. Broken Yolk has a few locations and it's easy to see why. It's very casual and local. We don't have breakfast diners like this where I'm from, in the way that they even served alcohol. I ordered a Bloody Mary flight and loved all 4. Our waitress was quick on her toes, and created a chicken strip meal for my son. Very appreciative. Everyone's food looked and tasted amazing. Highly recommend Broken Yolk! read more

We always get the best most personal service here. The food is always cooked to perfection... great brunch destination. Julie took amazing care of us today read more

Oh, I have to give him a four stars. The food was good, but the omelette was very disappointing. It was a omelette taco they did the egg through all the ingredients in the already done egg then roll the egg over the top and put a little cheese on it I call a egg tacos. read more

Yummy crepes and our server, Josh, was very attentive and fun! The mimosa flight gave me a bang for my buck.

Great service and good food. We ordered the tiki toast and it was delicious and a hamburger and also was delicious, must try the spicy Bloody Mary!! read more

I would never order the country skillet again. The gravy tasted like nasty grits and the eggs had a slightly texture to them. My wife order the pancakes and they were extremely dry and left a bad after taste. read more

There is nothing broken about this place! It is a cute family diner in the community that is welcoming with lots of good vibes and family charm. It is rare that I can fine a breakfast spot that has great coffee, great food and amazing service and this place hit it out of the park!!! The coffee was a rich dark roast full of flavor I had two cups or maybe 3. They have all types of specialty coffees hot or cold for your fancy. The food was just amazingly on time delicious! We ordered the cinnamon French toast, a skillet and the Monte Cristo French toast. Everything was fresh and seasoned well. The wait staff was friendly, made recommendations on food choices and even shared a secret on the brand of coffee they use in house. I immediately ordered it on line for my home. The restaurant is a real winner. I'm in town for another week and I will be back for the charming atmosphere, to try other delicious creations off the menu and get treated like a queen! read more

Wonderful food and service! We had a party of 10 and called prior to secure a table which was ready and waiting for us. I ordered a barria bowl and am still enjoying it; tomorrow will be my third and last serving of it. Our server was very hospitable and accommodating which made our birthday breakfast so enjoyable. Totally recommend and will return. read more

The food was very good. The restaurant was nice and clean. Would definitely eat there again. It's definitely family owned.

Service was amazing! Juli is the best waitress ever! She kept our drinks full at all times and was constantly checking on us! The food was so good, we got the Chilaquiles with green sauce, chicken & over medium eggs and we also got the churro French toast. It was amazing! Can't wait to go back! read more

Cute little café that makes you feel right at home. I really loved the atmosphere and the vibe at this place. I had never been here before and stumbled on it trying to find a breakfast place. It's located in the target shopping center. The waitress was nice and helpful and suggested some good menu items and I took her advice I got the chicken and waffles breakfast item which had bacon hashbrowns on the side scrambled eggs and side and chicken in between a large waffle. It was pretty delicious! This is in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking however we missed it on our way in the logo is of a palm tree and there are colorful umbrellas out on the patio. I really love this place and I will definitely be back! read more

Thought I would treat myself to a nice "me" time breakfast. I can't remember when I got so sick within 30 minutes of taking 3 bites. I had eggs, hash browns, english muffin and chicken fried steak. Of course didnt eat any more, was still charged full price. Acted like they didn't care. Never again read more

Looks like an East coast dinner/breakfast place. Coffee-decaf tasted like iodine and the first cup was lukewarm. The waitress was very nice and brewed a fresh pot. The next cup was nice and hot but still didn't taste great. The feta avocado toast with 2 well done poached eggs was delicious. The bread had a nice chew to it. The eggs, avocado and feta with a drizzle of balsamic plated well off of each other. The buttermilk pancakes were great. They were just right amount of fluffy with a delicate vanilla. The bacon was cooked just as we liked it. The eggs, a second try because the first was cold, were pretty good. The amount of food was a lot. read more

Went here for lunch today. As soon as we entered we were greeted and taken to a nice table. Our waitress, Kelsey H , came soon after to take our drink order. She answered our questions about a couple things on the menu. One friend and I ordered the tomato soup and half of a tuna sandwich. We were surprised that your choice of salad was part of the deal. The other friend got a grilled cheese sandwich with her tomato soup. We all chose a strawberry salad. To our surprise the serving was huge. None of us could eat the salad. Everything was fresh and delicious. I would recommend this restaurant and i would come again. read more

First of all, the service was great. Our waitress did a great job. The food was fine. Not at all special- the avocado on the toast had no seasoning. No salt, lime or spice. The balsamic drizzle was the only saving Grace. The iced latte was pretty bland as well. Maybe other choices would have been more interesting. read more

I came here with a good friend of mine this morning and everything was great! We ordered the eggs, Benedict and gluten-free pancakes, and we were splitting everything and had ordered just the two entrées and the waitress offered to split them on plates for us which was super nice. The coffee was super good. Service was super quick and the eggs Benedict was great even though I didn't have the bread part because of my gluten allergy. This is a great little breakfast spot located in the parking lot of target if you wanna do a little shopping after. read more

This place was packed when we went. Everything on the menu looked good. I decided on the mom omelet. It was a bit bland, could have been more tasty with some salsa or sauce. There was a food mishap, but the manager apologized and made up for it. 4/5 stars. read more

Added my party of 4 to the waitlist through Yelp- worked perfectly. Arrived and was seated almost right away despite the crowd waiting. Service was great- we had a very attentive server. Coffee is great- nice and dark, not weak, one suggestion to this restaurant- buy real half and half! I feel like breakfast places always get it wrong with coffee and cream. A great great breakfast place is set apart by how good their coffee is and if they have fresh cream, not the prepackaged cups left on the table. I tried the sweet corn cakes with carne asada- unique flavors! All of our dishes were luke warm and not hot when they arrived- my only complaint, food was otherwise great. We will be back! read more

My wife and I had wanted to try and new place for breakfast and I had found this place to be in the top best places on the lists that I had found. The ambiance reminded me of an old school restaurant and there wasn't very many people there. I service was nice and friendly and typical for most places you go. I thought the Eggs Benedict options were pretty cool in which you could choose two, which was great for both of us so we could try multiple options. My favorites out of the four were the Caprese and the Sope benedicts. Very tasty and a lot of flavor. The chicken and waffle was our least favorite. Overall the food was mediocre because it wasn't very hot when we had received it. read more

Mostly great food. Got the sweet trio which comes with the Tiki Toast, the crunchy French toast, and a cinna-cake. I liked that they weren't overly sweet and rich. My wife the the biscuits and gravy which was kind of odd because her gravy was a little sweet and the taste overall was a little off. I've only been a few times so I'll have to try the other items in the menu another time read more

Portion sizes here were ginormous. I ordered the pick two Benedict for breakfast with house potatoes. Both the potatoes and the eggs Benedict came out cold. Don't taste any seasonings either. Just bland and cold. Gross. What a serious disappointment. Service was typical for a diner but I think we got checked on once for a large table of 14 of us. Don't know how this place has so many high reviews. UPDATED: The restaurant was kind enough to reach out to me after the review. I do understand that sometimes restaurants have bad moments and mistakes can be made. I will try them again. read more

We love this breakfast spot. Food is always good and the staff is always really nice.

This is a great breakfast place. They have wonderful selection of omelettes, Benedict, and skillets. I tried the Golden State and the chicken waffle Benedict. They let you choose two different ones which is kind of fun. The Golden State was far better. Very delicious. Coffee was great. My sister liked the standard Benedict. Give it a try - waitress was very friendly. read more

We love coming here we only do it for curbside but it's really good! The ranchero skillet is so good but I switched it up and got country skillet this time next Time I'll ask for less gravy? What it was still really good! Sausage patty's are like hamburger sized pattys lol (not mad at that) and my sons kids meal was good as well he ate every single bite! Keep up the good work! read more

A bit pricey but food is delicious. Service is quick even when they are packed full of customers. Definitely worth the wait for a seat which happens on weekends. read more

Seems like the quality has dipped over the past six months. I still love their gluten free waffles but every time I go it seems they forget my side of bacon or something. The server always rectifies the situation but it is still disappointing. Also this past weekend most of our food was lukewarm when we received it. The drip coffee was very bitter and my orange juice tasted awful, undrinkable. Staff is always friendly though!! read more

I am a huge fan of the Broken Yoke franchise. I grew up in San Diego and have been to many of them. My friend's brother runs the one in Vegas. I arrived around 7:30am Friday morning. Only a few tables occupied. Service was great but, the Chicken fried steak and eggs were not what I expected. The gravy had some sort of green seasoning in it? Kind of powdery as well. read more

Server was sweet, but the chicken and waffles were incredibly underwhelming. Online all the review photos and the photos that the restaurant had posted of it looked so good, Unfortunately expectation did not match reality this literally looks and tastes like it came out of the freezer. Last week we went to the Broken Yolk Cafe in Mesa,AZ for the first time ever! Someone shared with us that they had vegan options for me so we were thrilled for the experience! In all honesty, my expectations are generally low when restaurants have these options...BUT...Broken Yolk blew me away! First of all, we went right when they opened and were greeted and seated promptly! The restaurant was light and clean with great music playing!!! Sarah D did an outstanding job servicing our needs! She was friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, accommodating and very well aware of my dietary restrictions! Outstanding customer service! Next, the food and the presentation were delightful! Hot, tasty, exactly as ordered! We will be back! Thank you Broken Yolk! Oh, and, great rewards program too! Can't wait to try other menu items!!!! read more

Decent food and prices. Nice patio for the winter time. Kids meals are huge! Meat omelet was very good. Server was nice. We will be back!

I went on a weekday and sat outside, enjoying the music on the patio. My server was Sarah, who was very nice and efficient, checking on my a few times. She had quickly taken my order and the food didn't take long to come out... It wasn't busy. The Greek omelet was very good. It was made with olives, which I don't often get in such omelets elsewhere. It made it a little more salty, along with the feta, but it wasn't too much. The blueberry muffin and green matcha latte were just right. Really nice experience! read more
