We ordered wings which were thickly coated surprisingly with a crispy wheat coating. They were tasty but I had wanted to avoided gluten. The BBQ Ribs were dry underneath the BBQ sauce. On a Sunday night coming down from Tahoe finding a restaurant open past 8 is tough! We were so happy to find Bricks open until 830 last night, we arrived at 805pm. We were greeted within 5 min and sat at a table. Our server, Tyler, was so welcoming. We ordered a French dip w/ grilled onions and Gouda cheese(those were add ons), cup of minestrone and a Frisco burger w/ fries with no changes. Both meals were great!! A lot of taste and the French dip was piled high with good quality meat...not full of stringy fat like some places. My husband loved his burger, said it was great and he is a burger guy! The minestrone was okay.... Too many noodles (elbow noodles at that, which is different) and not enough veggies. We will DEFINITELY back!! So happy we found this place! read more

Always consistent food and service. They take being busy in stride which is nice since most the time they are slammed. You don't feel like you are being rushed, ignored or feel like you get lost in the shuffle. The food is always top notch. Taste fresh and comes out quickly and the flavors always blend so nicely. The cocktails are on another level! The bartenders take great pride in creating a drink that is not only pleasing to taste but actually taste like a cocktail and not a mocktail. The pear martini is my go to and every time it's the same cocktail. Being consistent is a strong point with their bar as well as their kitchen staff! Top notch restaurant for sure and a breath of fresh air in the industry. We feel lucky we can eat here anytime we want. read more

The soup wasn't as flavorful as I'd like it to be but it was still a solid French onion and I'd order to again. The meat in my burger was cooked well and their fries are so good. And the food every dish we got was bland the best dish we had was the over priced shrimp appetizer which was $20 and only came with five little shrimps no flavor in the green tomatoes appetizer and when we got our main entrees I was impressed with the plating of the dishes we got the baby back ribs and a chicken pasta which were good but a little on the bland side nothing we had stood out as amazing or even good and worst of all the beer I ordered wasn't even cold. read more

Not overcooked. 5 nice sized pieces of shrimp flavored with tbutter garlic and some spicy sauce how could you go wrong? It came with buttered baguette toasts and James our server even offered more bread to eat with the sauce! My fiancé said the Santa Fe melt was solid. The blue cheese dressing was really good. And our friend said his turkey burger was delicious. It's mixed with jalapeño & parsley but it's not too spicy. And we can't forget the pomegranate mojitos. Visited Brick's Monday, 8 November 2021, and it was another fantastic meal for the books! This place is so consistent. The food is great. Really good options for everyone. The drinks are tasty and not a waste of money (there is actually alcohol in them). The service is great. The host asked us if the booth would be a suitable size for our party before seating us and helped bus our table. The server checked on us frequently, and our orders were exactly the way we ordered them. It was all hands on deck the entire night! The manager/assistant manger (blonde woman, forgot to ask her name ) handled unnecessarily difficult customers so professionally! Brick's is open 7 days a week and is truly a Placerville treasure! The food was just okay not great but okay. The vegetables on the plate was a overkill and would have been better to have a salad offered in place of a monopoly of half cooked bell pepper, carrots, green beans, onions. I had the meatloaf with mashed potato and gravy. My son had the New York steak and au gratin potatoes that were dried out and looked like a square of lasagna. We were not impressed with anything. The noise was annoying of the loud customers and the atmosphere was terrible without a music or sound system to help with making people feel calmer and more relaxed. We entered the restaurant and were immediately, rudely, turned away because we had a dog, we had to defend ourselves by clarifying we had a licensed service dog. The girl then told us it would be at least a 30 minute wait, we ended up leaving, the two hostesses were then laughing at us as we left. A very unprofessional atmosphere. Last night, my girlfriend and I were on our way down from Lake Tahoe to head to my parents house in Auburn. My parents suggested we stop in downtown Placerville so my girlfriend can experience the old town vibe. When we got the area, we were looking up vegan friendly and Brick's was at the top of the list on Yelp. My girlfriend ordered their Beyond Bowl. It consisted of beyond burger meat, rice, sprouts, kale, red cabbage, red peppers, avacado & vegan chipotle sauce. She was quite surprised how vegan friendly their options were for here and was impressed with the bowl! She loved it, and barely said a word while eating because it was so good. I ordered their Frisco Burger. It consisted of grilled mushrooms and onions, avocado, bacon, Swiss cheese & chipotle sauce on grilled sourdough bread. I ordered it medium well and it was perfect crunch and tenderness. Definitely the best burger I've had in a few years. The sauce was a perfect pairing for the ingredients on the burger. Amazing! We stopped in for lunch last Saturday and sat at the bar. The bartender was super friendly (I should have got his name)! We had a white linen and some strawberry fragola cocktail- he didn't skimp on the alcohol which was appreciated :) We ordered the spinach artichoke dip to start - great flavor, but it was reallyyy thick, like hard to dip a chip without it breaking. We also ordered a small house salad, and the Hot Chelelo pasta. Fettuccine with prawns, sun dried tomato, basil, chipotle pepper, garlic, white wine, and cream cheese. The menu notes "ITS SPICY". We asked if they could tone down the spice just a bit and if we could sub chicken for the prawns. He was more than accommodating to our requests! The pasta was absolutely amazing!!! And it came with cheesy garlic bread. Who doesn't love cheesy garlic bread? Overall, friendly service, great cocktails, and delicious food! We will definitely be back! read more

The first time I complained about an injustice from the bartender forgetting to put my order in he made up something so offensive my lawyer said I could sue them for slander!!! First impression was good! Awesome location and a nice vibe in the restaurant. The service was really good as well. But when I go to a restaurant and pay almost $100 for a meal, I want good food! I got the Beef Tenderloin and it looked like a TV dinner. I think that cheeseburgers are one of my favorite foods. And I just had a great cheeseburger at Bricks. The El Paso burger they called it. Cooked perfectly with pickled jalapeños fried onions and my favorite brioche bun. I thoroughly enjoyed this place good atmosphere good food craft beers. Oh yea and the sweet potato planks were bomb. The only thing that I would give a bad mark for was the size of the calamari appetizer. It was good just small portion for the price. Everyone I was with enjoyed their food as much as I did. My father in laws patty melt looked killer. Next time I'm in Placerville I will definitely be back to Bricks. read more

First time trying Bricks and glad we stopped in. Great atmosphere, very casual, good drinks and food choices. A gem for Placerville for sure. It was a bit noisier than I expected but it was a full house the whole time we were there... on a Monday! That in and of itself should say something. My husband had the BLAT and French fries and I tried it as well and it was delicious, fresh, perfect. I ordered the Darcy Burger with Sweet Potato planks- which were super tasty. My ONLY complaint.... and it's a big one, is the "Hot & Spicy" sauce on the Darcy burger. Being covered in Bacon Crispy onions, blue cheese, avocado- the flavor profile sounds amazing. Unfortunately the sauce tasted like nothing more than Buffalo Wing Sauce - a flavor I'm not a fan of in the first place and wish the menu mentioned this was Buffalo wing sauce instead. The worst part is the sauce drowned out the flavor of every single other ingredient in the burger. A total waste of ingredients since I couldn't taste anything but Buffalo Sauce. I will definitely be going back because I believe their food is inventive and tasty- but whoever came up with the Darcy Burger sauce --- big mistake.
