The food here is . Straight out of the oven calzones are so good, I wish this place was closer to home so I can eat these regularly. It gets pricey if you build your own ($ by the ingredients) and the wait is long, but everything is made from scratch and right in front of you. It's a good place if you got an hour to wait and enjoy their food. read more

Ordered my pizza and was told to come back in about 15 mins. Came back and was told my pie wasn't ready. I was confused as I had technically come back more than 15mins after I ordered. The cashier told me that my pizza had to be remade. As she told me this I saw a very burnt pizza that looked just like the one I ordered get tossed in the trash bin. They told me to come back in another 15+mins. Not sure if the man cooking the pizzas was new but it seemed like he was having difficulty making pizzas that weren't burnt. The fact that it took 30+ mins for my simple pizza to get made and then remade makes me not too want to come back. In the end the pizza I was given was still burnt on the bottom. A nice even black char on the bottom of my pie and around my crust. Had some hope for my pizza but definitely not coming back. I wish I could say the ingredients made me feel like I was eating a pizza worth the price tag but sadly no. read more

Came in today a Friday night didn't seem overly busy in comparison to the other vendors I ordered a simple pepperoni pizza nothing fancy only issue I had was considering the place wasn't busy I asked a simple yes or no question ..if the cheese on the pizza evenly melted similar to a little Cesar's pizza/domino consistency or was it a chunky mozzarella type the lady working the register said she didn't know. You would think considering she works here and sees the finish product day to day she'd know the answer anywho I docked a star for that reason alone. read more

I was invited back to this location by the manager to try out a different gluten free pizza crust. I was impressed with the gluten free pizza crust, dairy free cheese alternative (cashew based) and the vegan chicken on the BBQ Chicken pizza. My family enjoyed the vegan option. My intention was not to harm the business, but warn everyone that that pizza did not taste good. 9.1/10. I'd get the 12" pepperoni & cheese and it's reminiscent of those pizzas I'd get as a child that happened to be really good. It's like what you'd want the pizza from teenage mutant ninja turtles to taste like. The sauce is really good, and the dough is perfect and smoky. Pepperonis are great quality and so is the cheese. I'd also get the lemonade, although a little pricy, I'm pretty sure they use fresh lemons. Overall this is a gem and definitely my go-to for now :) read more

I've only been once, the bbq chicken pizza I had was really good. The flavor was very defined, kind of garlicky (which I love) and rich. The crust is really well made, a little thick for my preference, but still very good chewyness and crunch. read more

Extremely disappointed! I went to the Riverside Food Lab excited to try some of the specialty pizzas, such as, the Rocket Man or Butternut Ricotta, only to find that these unique specialties and several others had been removed from the the menu. I decided to try their Buffalo Chicken pizza and was extremely disappointed. It was merely a bland pizza crust with a few pieces of chicken smothered in Frank's Red Hot sauce, a meager amount of cheese and a few drops of ranch dressing. The pizza was nothing special nor unique. Definitely not worth the wait for such a disappointing, meager meal. read more

I've been to this place a few times and the pizza is usually pretty good. Recently tried the mushroom & brie pizza and wasn't a fan, it just didn't have the same depth of flavor as the apple one they replaced it with. The biggest issue is I've noticed this place is pretty short-staffed and mismanaged, usually only two people working at a time and they don't seem to separate cashier and food prep duties. This resulted in me seeing the employee go from handling cash to making a pizza without washing their hands or putting on gloves (including putting on toppings/packaging pizza after it was cooked). While the gloves were in plain sight! Didn't regularly sanitize the register either - unlike other places in the Food Lab. Previously my husband ordered for online takeout and despite the confirmation saying they would test when it was ready, they never did. Instead he got cold pizza that we had to reheat at home, might as well have just gotten frozen pizza. They really should have offered to remake them, but I see we weren't the only ones with that experience. I always wondered why it's never as busy as the other stalls, now I have my confirmation why. I won't be back until I see improvement in their management and health practices. read more

10 dollars for a 6 inch pizza that was burnt to a crisp. I added chicken as well which was dry and tasteless, making it 10. I can literally count the amount of chicken pieces they put on there with one hand (about 5 or 6 pieces that had actual weight). I ordered the Caprese pizza, don't make the same mistake. As soon as you pick up a crispy slice every bit of cheese slides right off that oily surface. I paid the price expecting high quality. Their sauce equates to the store bought rague in a jar, and didn't help the pizza much. I came back to pay for their lousy watery marina sauce in a plastic little cup, and the staff was so annoyed with that. As you can see... one slice is more bread than anything. Be wary of what you order I guess, I hope their other pizzas aren't as good as it's the only place that serves pizza in the food lab in Riverside. read more

This place was our go to place for pizza until tonight. We placed an order to be delivered and waited for an hour plus just to call the location; we spoke to the "Manager" Francis who is a female. She was completely rude and actually hung up on me. This was a great spot for great pizza and it's a shame because we ordered there 2-3 times a week on our own and my work Bauman's Ace Hardware makes very large orders at least twice a month; I am personally going to refuse Ace to order from you and we will no longer be ordering from you. Francis is that's even her name needs to bed fired on the spot for unprofessional behavior by disclosing a previous customers name to someone completely different. It breaks my heart, but I will not be going to Brook and Birch until "Francis" is no longer working there!! She needs customer service skills. read more

Pizza is not something I get to indulge in often because gluten and dairy hate me. But last night I got to eat a GF/DF pizza and it was hands down the best one I've had. I had the Thai Pizza and the ingredients were so fresh tasting, giving it a light feeling. The crust was flavorful and the cheese was like real cheese. It's actually so light and delicious that I hate the whole 12" pizza in one sitting which I didn't even know I was capable of doing. So thank you for the amazing pizza eating experience! read more

Went on a Saturday night, so there was a 30 minute wait, no problem, it's a weekend I know it's busy. Waited probably closer to 45 minutes, and they told me they added an ingredient that I specifically asked they omit; they said they'd remake it. Then another worker stepped in to say they'd "front of the line" it, and remake it immediately. Like yeah, no kidding. My kid's cheese pizza was better than my way more expensive one. Half of all our crusts were burnt and inedible. The crust that wasn't burnt wasn't the greatest. I didn't finish it and I always do. $50 for 2 personal pizzas and a mini pizza. I ordered the 6in Margherita pizza and it was delicious. The staff was very nice and made sure I was satisfied with my meal. I was also given a sample of the potato white cheddar soup.
