Really loved the cheesiness of this pizza and overall enjoyed our pizza pie although the sausage was too intense. I felt like the fennel seeds overpowered all other ingredients. Even the pineapple itself. I would come back to eat here again and try their other foods and cookies. Their cookies looked soft and very tempting!

Got the 6" BBQ chicken pizza. It was good with a decent amount of chicken. It was a little small for having a $13 price tag. I loved the texture of these pizzas. They're thin crust on hand-rolled dough and cooked in a wood-fire (?) oven. My son devoured his pizza. I savored and loved every bite of my mushroom pizza - had I not been full, I'd have ordered the veggie (touted as their most popular pizza). Instead, I had the chopped Italian salad with basalmic dressing. You can see that it is generously served. The flavors were well-balanced and super tasty. This place is a keeper and I wound come back and try their calzones. It took about 15 mins for us to get our order because they are made to order - a good thing! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe is chill and appears to be managed by a group of nice guys who are responsive and helpful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We got our order "for here" and sat in their seating area which was very quaint. Arrived in downtown riverside area late and craving for pizza. Looked up yelp and found this place which is closing late at 11pm. Ordered a pepperoni pizza, size and taste okay, but a bit salty.

I really wanted to enjoy this spot since it's located in the Food Lab, but unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the price point. The Service Even with three employees behind the counter, the service was quite slow. It took over 15 minutes just to have my order processed. After ordering, it was another 15-20 minute wait for the pizza to be prepared. For a quick-service environment, the pace felt a bit off. The Food I ordered a simple 12" pepperoni pizza ($20). I usually have high expectations for oven-baked pizzas, but this one missed the mark. * Quality: The pizza was incredibly greasy--easily the greasiest I've had all year. * Value: At $20 for a 12", the quality just didn't justify the cost.

First time at Bricks and Birch and thought of taking it home for that perfect late Saturday night snack! For sure ended up being exactly that. Although before taking it home I had to sneak a piece of the crust before taking it home and all I can say is YES!!! It is fire wood baked deliciousness!! Couldn't decide veggies or meat so the best of both! The Mushroom Brie and the Ron Swanson and Lee me tell you both were absolutely amazing the crust was crispy and chewy and soft the ingredients fresh and savory. Have to go back and see what's next!

The owner wants to edit the post and say I'm lying but the pictures are clear that the pizza was undercooked. The cheese is raw. Based on all her comments on reviews she makes excuses and has no accountability for the low quality food her restaurant puts out. Yelp doesn't lie. There's a reason your rating has plummeted.

Very good service! The food was good and looked AMAZING! The spicy buffalo pizza looked very scrumptious and appetizing. Sadly our order was made wrong, BUT they made up for it and gave very excellent customer service. We are amazed and will definetly come again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's hard to find tables, especially with the Mission Inn festival, but it's not their fault, very comfortable area and environment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Been to the food lab many times and have wanted to always try Bricks and Birch, but there has always been a line. Finally tried it and almost wish I didn't. Ordered a large pepperoni pizza($20) which is really more like a Medium(6 slices), and man it was really soggy. The grease was just puddling on the top. Was very salty, that one slice is already making my stomach hurt as I write this. Should really be one star but we'll give them 2 for the location and service; inside the location because * *What's up with the business owner? Responds to comments very sarcastically. Not a good look for the business, instead of properly addressing the issues, that many people seem to have.

Complete unprofessional behavior from the manager/owner. She reeked of alcohol and was completely rude on top of treat all the staff terrible. I just feel so bad for all her employees, I used to go for the quality of ingredients they used and now it's just turn to trash. read more

Ordered online for pickup. It said they would text me when it was ready. It had been 45 minutes and I hadn't heard anything (I'm not from this state I didn't know if that was normal or not). I finally went there and asked and she grabbed it from right behind her and said oh yeah it's been ready. How was I supposed to know that? How hard is it to text the person. I'm annoyed. Their crust is so good! This is the best food in the food lab AND it has the best vegan food in the food lab. They make their own vegan cheese out of cashews and it's so good. It's not just processed crap like Monty. They have plenty of great regular pizzas too including he Rob Swanson for meat lovers. Highly recommend. read more

I had recommended your pizza to a neighbor. They took my advice and went there this weekend. They informed me it was a disappointment! They stated the pizza was under cooked. If I had to describe my experience at Bricks and Bearch it would only be one word....WOW!!!!!! And that's not to exaggerate. The quality of the pizza was out of this world and I'm gonna tell you why. My grandfather was a master pizza maker and he owned a brick oven, so from the first bite up to the last it took me to that time when he would make pizzas at home. The staff was GREAT, Francis the manager was very attentive and friendly made sure that I was well taken care of, as well as her staff at the facility. I will definitely go back to have dinner in the near future. read more

Had high hopes for this place as I saw it was wood fire pizza. Than I saw it was in the food lab so I became skeptical about the pizza. As I approached the place I saw bunch of hipsters making pizza, which I became even more skeptical because I'm not sure if I trust these guys with my pizza. Anyways, I ordered my pizza which came out to be 10 dollars. When I received I was in disbelief that I just paid 10 dollars for a mini pizza like the ones you get at the freezer section. To make it even worst the pizza was bullshit, and what I mean by bullshit is that the toppings weren't any better than those from fast5 pizza ( no offense). The pizza was insanely small for what you pay, and the pizza was made with no love and soggy. My question is how the fuck you make a soggy pizza in a wood fire oven ?!? I have never been left so disappointed from a pizza place before like this one. Whoever rates this pizza doesn't know pizza. Shameful place! Shambolic! Do not come here or the food lab in general it's all hype! My dank review for this place will be 1.5/10 read more

While traveling through California I stopped in at Bricks and Birch because who doesn't like pizza?! What I had took pizza to the next level and had me asking the owner if they shipped out of state;). All of the pizza is scratch made with fresh ingredients. They use innovative topping choices and leave no herbs unused to create some of the best pizza I have had. All of this and I haven't gotten to the dankkk homemade desserts and yummy beers on tap. Whether you live in Riverside or are just traveling through, stop denying yourself the opportunity at high quality, delicious food. read more

Popped by for lunch and had the BEST pizza and salad. Loved the crispy crust, the ingredients were super fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection. Our salad was flavorful, we thought it was a perfect combo for lunch. We were in and out fast as the pizza cooks quickly. I would def go back and try more of the items on the menu! First time to Riverside location, big fan of their Redlands shop! Food Lab is a new food hall near the Mission Inn in downtown Redlands and worth checking out. Had the Jalapeño Popper pizza and it was bomb! Paired it with Kona Big Wave Ale. Girl at the register was friendly and gave great recommendations on the pizza. Will definitely be back! read more

I went here for the first time yesterday, and I ordered a large caprice pizza. They didnt use fresh mozzarella or put basil, so the pizza was a super let down. When I showed up to pay, the 2 employees were having a super intense conversation with each other, and they seemed to be annoyed that a customer was there. I wrote to the company via email, but they never responded. read more

I have not been to the one in Riverside yet, but the one in Redlands is great. The brick oven pizza is just wonderful and their homemade scones, muffins, etc...are just wonderful. If you haven't tried it, you should! read more

Had some amazing pizza here and the service was great. The cheese was good quality. The dough was good and the vegetables were super fresh. I ordered it well done,crispy and they delivered. The host told us the wait would be about 25 minutes. There were quite a few people ahead of us. As we stood waiting, we noticed several tables and booths sitting empty. I asked the host, "Why isn't anyone sitting at those tables and booths?" Instead of giving a simple answer, he tried to sound like a pseudo-intellectual and gave a long-winded explanation that didn't really make sense. He was basically trying to say, "We don't want to overwhelm the servers." Well, why the heck didn't you just say that in the first place? The game started, and we continued watching while we waited... and waited... and waited. We ended up waiting for about an hour, even though we had been told it would only be 25 minutes. I saw the manager speaking with the host, so I asked if we were even close to being seated. The manager replied, "Yes, you're next." So we waited... and waited... and waited. Eventually, we turned around to see how many people were still waiting behind us and realized the waiting area had almost completely cleared out. There were only two people left waiting! So my friend asked the host, "When are we going to be called? You seated people who came in after us." He responded, "Okay, let me clean a table for you." Keep in mind, we had requested a booth, and there was an available booth that just needed to be bussed. Instead, he cleaned off a table and said, "Okay, I can seat you now." We replied, "We see there's an open booth." He looked at my friend and said, "I see you're adamant about having a booth." Well, yeah! That's what we requested from the very beginning. My friend, doing his best to stay calm, simply said, "Let's go." This is exactly why we usually go to the Buffalo Wild Wings in Moreno Valley. Better service, great hosts and servers, and managers who actually care. DO NOT GO TO THE BUFFALO WILD WINGS AT THE RIVERSIDE TYLER MALL. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! We were sat right next to where they made the tortillas and can see them being made since they had glass windows around it. However, there was one gentleman that was making tortillas who was on his cell phone texting or whatever CONSTANTLY at the same time while doing this. He had a glove on one hand and no glove on the other, and was touching the tortilla dough.....We all know how dirty a cell phone is! And what made it worse is at one point he itched the inside of his nose with his finger, and didn't even wash his hands or have gloves on after that. I suggest a camera be placed at the tortilla station, add the notes about bacon in the beans and chicken in the rice, and add bell peppers to the fajitas.
