I sat a the bar alone and was greeted by the sweetest person sitting next to me. Ordered a Bloody Mary and Ham and Cheese Omelet with Grits. She got ready to leave and told me to enjoy my meal. My question to her...do you work here? No, she relied, my son Alex owns it. Have you met Alex she asked...I told her we had only been here one time before. Only complaint I had is a boy, maybe about 8 sat next to me at the bar. I didn't know this was allowed. I had 4 different people help me at the bar. One took my order and brought me my drink, another came and refilled my water, another brought me my food and yet another brought me my check. Sure hope they get to share the tip. Went here with my brother in law recently and it was decent. He got the truckers breakfast and I got the chicken sandwich. The service was okay, both of us enjoyed our food but it took a long time for everything, to get our order taken, to get our check, to get our food, but they did look pretty busy. For my first trip to this location I must say that I was very impressed with the quality of food and service. Our waitress Margaret was fabulous and made sure we were taken care of. As for the food, AMAZING! I had the Killer Creole omelette with shrimp added to my grits and it was really good. If you want a great meal then don't hesitate on trying this restaurant. I enjoyed this as a lone diner looking for something yummy than I had the ingredients for handy. They mark was hit! I had a seafood omelet that was light and very fresh. It was not the normal paper-weight heavy loaf you expect on the plate. Service was great! The only missing star is for inspiration. I have yet to find a local place with a Western European menu and this place could pull it off and more. Think of special sliced meat and cheese selection with lots of fresh vegetables. A low carb high protein brunch such as that is my dream. But don't blow off that omelet or the coffee! read more

It has bacon and tomato and cheese was just spilling out of the sandwhich. It was a bit on the oily side, but it is a grilled cheese. I got the truffle fries with it and those were pretty good. The fries were a little too soggy for my taste, I prefer more crunch, but the taste was good. I visited Mobile a couple weeks ago on a weekend, so of course I couldn't let Sunday pass without a decent brunch. My friend recommended this spot so we went over there around noon. It's located at the end of a strip mall and seem out of place, but the inside was very cute. The wait was 45 minutes so we walked around and were seating in about 30. I ordered the chicken Alfredo eggs Benedict with a side of hash browns. Although the hashbrowns were a bit bland, I was very pleased with the overall dish especially with all the flavors combined. I also ordered a mimosa sampler which was both colorful and delicious! The service, however, took entirely too long. We realized the wait to be seated was so long not because of the rush, but because the servers were taking too long to get people out. We waited on our check for about 20 minutes. Overall I would go back just for the food, although maybe at a less busier time. read more

This place was awesome, we got seated right and received our appetizer within only a few minutes. We got the Deviled on the Bayou to start, they were fantastic, highly recommend! We also got a pitcher of original mimosas and we appreciated the champagne to orange juice ratio :) For our entrees, we tried the stuffed French toast sliders, grown up grilled cheese, and the Taste of the South, all of which we would give 5/5 stars, so good, we ended up sharing everything. The coffee was also fantastic and I believe was local. My only complaint would be the latte was very tiny for the price, but I still give this place 5/5 and would recommend to anyone! read more

One thing that irritated my part was that we were told there were no more crab cakes so we had ordered the shrimp and grits instead, about 10 minutes later the party behind us was served CRAB CAKES. We decided to double check with the cook who delivered our food and he told us that they in fact did had crab cakes. We found that out after the food arrived but we were so hungry it didn't matter. We literally had to go grab the hostess at the door to get our orders placed. Let me start this review by saying this, always stick to your first instincts. Typically on the weekends I cook my own breakfast at home but with COVID-19 I have been trying my hardest to support local businesses and restaurants because I know many of them were hit hard. I ordered a large mimosa but they ran out of glasses so the bartender gave me a small glass as said she would refill it. No big deal...cool right ? This was my first meal of the day and when it finally arrived (after 2:15pm) it was cold and very salty!!! I was pissed but since I haven't eaten all day I was starving and didn't want to complain. Ambiance was nice but the food not so much. I tried the traditional Eggs Benedict and grits on the side. The eggs were nicely cooked but the english muffin was dry and the ham or canadian bacon overcooked and hard to cut. They put on the hollandaise as if it were a decoration so the whole dish was too dry. I asked for more hollandaise and it was brought to me cold. I had to ask for it to be heated. The grits were dry, cold, and full of whole corn kernels. Worst grits I have ever tasted. I might go back but it will probably be a long time. I'm guessing others felt the same as the place was virtually empty. Please hire someone who knows how to cook, how to cook grits and how to serve hot food to hungry customers. read more

We met friends here from out of town at 7am on a Monday morning. First things first, it was clean and seating was all safe social distancing. Service was basically non existent aside from her getting our orders and bringing them then the bill. The food was I don't know, mediocre I guess. I had the brioche French toast and a side of bacon. I don't mind paying a good price for food but for what I got I was disappointing. The bacon is over smoked so it felt like I was chewing on wood. The brioche French toast was bland and not anything better than my 12 year old can make. My husband had the pancakes and sausage. He said the sausage wasn't bad but the pancakes were rubbery and left a lot to be desired in the fluff department. Overall I highly doubt this is a place we'd return to. But kudos for being clean, oh and the coffee wasn't too bad! read more

My friend and I were on a road trip heading to Austin & decided to get some Louisiana comfort food. Man, this place was delicious! I ordered the Grown Up Grilled Cheese that comes with gouda, monterey jack, a fried egg, bacon, greens on sourdough. It was A+++++. I made it a point to have grilled cheese everyday on this road trip & this was my favorite one by far! Oh and the drink, cafe barbados (dark rum, kahlua & coffee with whipped cream on top), was truly a great way to get the afternoon started. They lire you in with a 5 star yelp rating and the promise of it being a top 10 breakfast spot in the country, and they don't even give you a wheelbarrow to cart yourself out of the place in! Don't let the crowd or the wait time turn you away, there's a very good reason for them both. I had the truckers breakfast, and the pancake was the size of the plate! My wife had the french toast "sliders", but it was actually a full sized loaf of french bread cut into fourths with a mountain of diabetes poured on top of it. We even had an amazing strawberry mimosa, that was absolutely free! I never review places, but this place deserves every 5 star rating thrown at it. read more

This is a really good choice for a unique brunch menu. I had the Brioche French Toast which was really good. The Pecan Smoked Bacon was to die for .. I could have just eaten a pound of that! My husband had the grilled fish Tacos with cheese grits. The Taco was good but only had one smaller strip of fish on it and a lot of greens - a lot less fish than he normally sees on a fish taco. These Omlettes they have are huge and I substituted the fire roasted grits for hash browns. My brunch partner has the Banana's Foster French Toast. Yummmm. We started off our meal with the soft & warm Beignets. Also the buttered biscuits are sooo good! They have a Bloody Mary Bar that just didn't live up to the hype.
