This was a beautiful brunch spot. I was skeptical about the mixed reviews. But I'm honestly glad I stopped by. I had the Chicken Florentine and let me say it was flavorful!! My husband had the American breakfast and he added a pancake on the side & he loved his food also. Definitely will be back :) read more

I know its Mardi Gras and they may have been short staffed but to not have anyone manning the hostess station is crazy. There were at least 4 to 5 parties waiting to put their name on the list. We left and went to another breakfast spot. read more

I have been here twice and both times the food was amazing. The servers was nice respectful and help us with anything we needed. I went for my 21st birthday and I didn't know at the time you couldn't have large groups but they still accommodated us which I really appreciate because they did not have to do that. read more

Not the Brick and Spoon of years past. Brick and Spoon was a fan fave for my family, especially when I come in town. Quality of service declined long before new owner. I had hope it would turn around... it did not. Portion and taste is substandard. read more

Service was slow and every employee acted as if it was the worst thing on earth to be there. As well as one of the waitresses butt was hanging out of her skirt. My eggs Benedict was horrible - soggy english muffin, very under cooked eggs and hardly any sauce. So to try and make the best of the situation I asked for more hollandaise that I was just going to add to the muffin it took me asking twice and forever. Once I got it it was cold. They are going to make someone sick. read more

Started off a bit questionable with no one acknowledging us at the door but well worth the wait!! They sat us in a party room that would be perfect for a bridal breakfast or birthday brunch. The decor in the whole restaurant is really cute and modern. Our server was every attentive and nice. Irish coffee and espresso martini were fantastic. We had the biscuits and gravy and the Cajun omelette. Very fresh and delicious. They may just be short staffed is all I can think would be the reason for the initial wait. Five stars for this local establishment. I should have gotten our servers name but she had red hair if that helps. Highly recommended for breakfast, brunch and lunch. read more

We wouldn't know how the food was because we went this morning and stood at the front waiting to be seated for 10 minutes or more and no one even came out of the kitchen to help or seat us. Only 3 tables seated in the whole place. We never even saw an employee. read more

By far, one of my favorite chains in the south. I fell in love with the Brick & Spoon when I first popped into their location in LaFayette, Louisiana and I love seeing them spring up in other cities as I travel. This one definitely does the original justice. Their Bloody Mary is made to order, starting with their own mix, and a nice selection of vodkas, and options to spice it up with some great garnishes to boot. Check out my Bloody Mary book here: https://amzn.to/2HT8y5E Awesome drinks with equally awesome southern cuisine, it's no surprise that new locations of this gem seem to be popping up all over the gulf coast! read more

Hands down worst service ever this morning, if that short handed don't open doors!! Never got drink orders or even a chance to order.. walked the restaurant and could not find anyone! I have been to other Brick and spoons in another state yall should take lessons from them read more

Service was slow especially since it wasn't crowded. However their mango mimosa-Rita was absolutely incredible. I typically get the Florentine Benedict but decided to switch it up for the crab cake and grits with fried green tomatoes. Let's just say this didn't disappoint. The beignets are good however we're a little over cooked. The restaurant is cute and vibey just a little curious why it wasn't crowded on a Saturday morning. However I will always stop by here when in Mobile. read more

We had never tried this place before. It's close to home and we're looking for a good breakfast spot. WOW, very dissatisfied. It is decorated so cute in there, but they are missing light fixtures and light bulbs are burnt out. It's dirty and disorganized. The service is really bad and the staff is sloppy and spends a lot of time on their phones. The food was very good, it's a shame. read more

Went in for a quick breakfast while passing through Mobile and it was very good. If I lived close I think I would make this a regular breakfast stop for myself. My server was very nice and she was attentive. There was plenty of food that I was able to bring half of it back to my daughter, who didn't feel like getting out of bed to join me at the restaurant. Good stuff. read more

I lovvvved the build your own Bloody Mary - I got mine spicy which was the move. Great spot for brunch drinks! I also suggest the Irish coffees and mimosa flight...and an Uber. I got the Taste of the South and it was good especially with some extra sauce. It's pretty cold in there so bring a jacket! The hostesses and our waitress were very warm though :) read more

Service was very S L O W, and only saw our server to order and pay, with zero checks on us for drink refills, etc. The food was unremarkable with cold fries served with my and my wife's sandwiches. They serve hard liquor and mixed drinks but no beer. Whose stupid idea was that? My advice is don't bother, the new ownership has made no difference nor improvements. read more

This was the best tomato dressing I have ever had! Our sweet waitress recommended it. I didn't even have to add salt or pepper on this before I ate every bite. Since they knew I'm on a gluten free and nut free diet, they crumbled up bacon all over my salad for more flavor. They got us in and out very quickly, even though they were busy. Cute place, very clean, and trendy. read more

I had a brief wait due to me not wanting to sit at the bar. There was no room so I opted to wait for a table. The aioli sauce on the Deviled on the Bayou was absolutely delicious. The shrimp was seasoned and everything fit together. The Brioche French toast tasted like regular bread to me. It wasn't bad however nothing special about it. Finished everything off with a glass of pineapple juice and water. Overall not a bad meal. Reminds me of Ruby Slipper. They do over a military discount :) read more

I am a complete nerd for brunch! We checked in & received free beignets, thanks to Yelp! The decor is fun, bright, & aesthetically pleasing, but the noise level inside makes it hard to converse with the people around you. It wasn't a packed house, so the noise level surprised us. The service was excellent, but the food was just okay. My mother ordered the omelet, my cousin ordered a breakfast sandwich, & I went for my favorite fried green tomatoes & crab cakes. The batter on the fried green tomatoes was too thick & the crab cakes tasted extra fishy for some reason. All in all, I wouldn't refuse to eat here again, but I wouldn't make it a point to dine with them again either. read more

I ordered the omelette with Tasso, shrimp, etc and cheese grits. My grits were as thick as concrete...not smooth nor appetizing and the cheese was in a mini ramekin in the side that didn't help at all... disappointed at the price I paid for a promising photo and description and poor/careless presentation IRL....C'est dommage! read more

This is a nice location! Clean and new! Ample parking spaces ! Located next to a sushi ramen joint! Wait wasn't long...wasn't super busy inside. I had high hopes for this place! Mobile does not have a lot of brunch places. I was super super disappointed. Our server was not personable. She kept cutting us off when we asked questions..."ok" was really all she said. She seemed rush all the time! Food was disappointing. My crab cake dinner was full of fillers and the sauce was soo salty...i'm glad i had it placed on the side. My hubby ordered the crab cake benny with biscuit instead of english muffin...but received it on english muffin. Instead of fixing it...she offered to bring a biscuit on the side. We took her offer but finished our meal before she even brought the biscuit back. My smoked gouda mac and cheese tasted like it came from a premix packaged. it was not good. The order of side fries were sooo cold and limpy. It was like left overs handed to us. The only good food item we enjoyed was the Breakfast taco. Cool concept and delish. Crunchy and fresh tasting. My friend did enjoy his home-made bloody mary! Great idea to be able to create your own. Our bill was over $50 but it was just meh. I'll try to give this place another try on another day. read more

BUSY Sunday Brunch: long bar & bartender occupied with making drinks didn't notice me; Had to wave my hands. Food took a long time--she said two people didn't show. Absolutely amazed at how good this place was, esp considering the location. It would have fit in easily at a fancier location. Service was extremely quick, pricing was reasonable. This was my first visit and it seems this place is more for the vibes than the food. Ordered Shrimp and Grits. The food took a long time to come out, the sauce wasn't my fav, the shrimp were cooked well but not seasoned and you only get a few. I wouldn't order this again. I would give them a second chance because the staff was friendly and the drink menu was good. read more

I want to start that I've been to Brick & Spoon Several times in the past, but it's been awhile since the visit I just had last week. The service was good. My issue was (and this is frustrating when it happens) when I ordered my entree, I came to the table looking like a not so hearty appetizer. This was the classic pay entree prices for not a lot of food. I was with three others and this was their opinion as well. I won't return. If I want an appetizer for breakfast, I'll go to Chick-Fil-A and get a biscuit. read more

Visiting from Houston, Tx and just don't bother. A 30 minute standing wait and hour wait and still never got my food. Bought out some beignets to appease me while I watched 4 tables that got sat after me be served. Came in today for breakfast with the wife and kids. Even though they do not have a kids menu online, they do have one. It's very limited - pancakes, grilled cheese, Mac and cheese. I enjoyed making my own Bloody Mary, as usual. My kids thought it was funny that I had food in my drink. I got the Shrimp Creole Omelette and it was good. Very heavy, and very filling. I couldn't finish it but the flavor was good. The kids were happy with the food and they're hard to please when it comes to new places and things, so we call it a win. read more

I will keep it brief. Service was the worst. This is the only Brick and Spoon location I've been too that served Mimosas out of a plastic champagne glass. The first set we received had still had lipstick on the rim, we had to ask for another set. The wait after ordering was about 50 mins and the restaurant was barely half full. When our food was finally delivered to the table, it was barely warm. Clearly sat in the kitchen for some time before they brought it out. They brought extra beignets to the table due to the long wait, then charged us for them. Who does that??? I will not be returning to this location. read more

The Yelp reviews made me excited to try the Brick & Spoon. Fortunately, I love sitting at the bar as that was my fast pass through the snaking line! #WINNING I had mixed feelings, but the good outweighed the "meh." I loved the bar area and the plentiful brunchy drink options. My two-egg breakfast was the bomb. Hubby's Tasso Mac & cheese, not so much. My coffee was delish, but the cinnamon beignet bites where -- meh. We should have gone with the original style. The service and decor totally tipped the scales for me. The staff is so detail oriented, even with the masses piling in, that you'd think you were the only patron dining. That's pretty impressive. The restaurant itself is also very cute. I love the wall art, brunchy text messages (look for them), and the overall set up. Brick and Spoon is doing Mobile a great service on the brunch end! read more

4 Star experience but I expect it to go up! Went for brunch today and even though they were trying...there was a lot left to be desired, including the poor quality & chewyness of the chicken on both the cobb salad and a chicken club a friend got. My special of Fried Green Tomatoes & Crab Cakes on smoked gouda cheese grits was DELICIOUS! The hostess was super nice and so was our server but the lady at the bar (bloody mary for the 40 min wait) did not seem to be having a jovial day. Also, there was another incident of a kitchen staff busting up in the bathroom talking VERY explicitly about the deuce he was about to drop, incuding F-bombs and other explicatives. Saw me washing my hands and said oh we have a customer in here and started laughing and kept talking about how he was going to be in there till closing time. . C'mon man... it's a professional establishment. Act like it. I'll be back for sure but B&S deserves a ding after that experience. read more

Did the "killer creole omelet" on my way home form a trip to the area it was 8:30AM Friday, restaurant was less than half full, but there was a warning at the front that because of staffing shortages you might have a longer wait than normal. After 30 minutes my server stops by to say the omelet went to the wrong table, they were going to fire it and it would be right out. 15 minutes later, I find the server and let him know that if the food isn't ready now - cancel it - he brought the food right out, but it wasn't what I ordered. I'm sorry, but 45 minutes for an omelet, and still not right - why bother read more

This new Brunch spot in Mobile is a must try. After church one Sunday my family and I decided to see what the hype was all about. At 11:45 a.m. (my church gets out early ) Brick & Spoon was already jammed pack. The hostess said there would be about a 45 minute wait but we were seated in about 10 minutes. Brick & Spoon is so bright and beautiful. They have a bar and regular seating tables. We sat at a table. They have a make your own blood Mary menu. There are some flavored mimosas such a as mango and blackberry. The menu items are brunch/lunch items and I wish I could've tried them all. I ordered the Bananas Foster French toast with eggs and bacon. It was the best Bananas Foster I've had in a really long time. The sauce was so yummy and rich. My family ordered pancakes and regular French toast (the usual brunch items). Which all looked tasty. The only gripe was a few pieces of our bacon was under cooked (a big no-no). I can't wait to go back to try the omelets and shrimp and grits. Brick & Spoon is a must try. read more
