I come here a lot and would normally give this place 5 stars, however, today I got a zeppelin that will probably keep me away for a while. Usually their zeppelins are packed full of salad but today my team ordered lunch to pick up, and upon receiving my sandwich, it felt a little lighter than usual. I opened it up and there was barely half the salad there normally is, after I knocked it on my desk a couple times to pack it, it only filled half the bread - usually you couldn't pack another piece of lettuce in them. Loved the idea of salad in the baguette bread and the food was delicious! It was a long wait for lunch but it's due to a local conference visitors but they're pretty good about keeping people moving. The only thing was the staff got the order mixed up few times for the person before me as well as mine until we tried to fix it like 4 times! I have a love for bread and salads and I love this place because I can have both... in one. I definitely recommend coming here if you want a healthy meal that fills you up. Actually, just go. Bread Zeppelin offers not only salads but zeppelins as well. A zeppelin is bread where the center is removed and replaced with a salad of your choice. While they do have signature salads, you can also build your own and select all the ingredients that go into it from the greens to the proteins to the dressings. I've never actually tried their signature salads because I love building my own. I definitely recommend getting the zeppelin if it's your first time. And I also recommend the cranberry poppyseed vinaigrette (I think that's what it's called). Every time I've come here around lunch time, it's always packed. Even when I came around 1:30, there was still a line. Busy place!! But I promise it's worth it. It's about $10 for a zeppelin depending on what protein you choose, which is a little pricy, but it fills you up good. I love that this place is clean, fresh, and healthy! Great restaurant. The metro cobb zeppelin is my go to. But, I'm not giving this place 5 stars because of the food, although it's great. Shout out to Daylen, an employee that works there. This dude has always been super nice to me. I like to keep the ends of the bread to eat before I start my sandwich. I decided to get the southwest salad but since I am Vegetarian I did the make my own because it was cheaper. The cool thing about this place is heir sandwiches and how they take out a lot of the inside of the sub and stick the salad inside. Next time I'll try that! The salad was fresh and they chop all the salads which is great. The dressings are plentiful but unfortunately nothing too spicy that they have. The amount to of salad is great and filling. Seriously the combination of the bread and the salad is so good and would 10/10 recommend the tejano caesar with steak!! My first time experiencing this place it pretty good. Group order that was called in, the Southwest Salad with Steak, Chicken Salad, Shrimp Salad and a Zeppelin. They toss the salad all together and put the dressing on the side. Love the cool bowl the salads comes, it's sealed it for no spills. I've been here many times and I am obsessed with it. The major downside I see? It's so far from where I live. If they had more locations, I would frequent this place weekly. Bread Zepplin has salad or zeppelins, which is your salad crammed into a hollowed out hoagie. (They WILL give you the warm insides of that hoagie if you ask.) They have options like the NOLA - iceberg lettuce, shrimp, tomatoes, pickles, onion and remoulade - or the Kaleifornia - kale, a protein of choice, currants, Parmesan, and pumpkin seeds. If you don't like an ingredient, they'll swap it for another of your choosing. You can also just make your own concoction by looking at the salad bar and pointing at stuff. Speak loudly though if you're not too tall, the protective barrier between the toppings and you is high. I generally stand on my tiptoes to order. The salads are chopped, so all the ingredients get mixed together. I'm not a salad person ever and I'm 100% convinced that this is why I love them so much. You can also get a rotating soup of the day or these delicious Metro Deli brand chips. Get the jalapeño cheddar. Trust me. They use the hoagie stuffing to make their croutons and bread pudding. So here I was driving from local stores and I see Bread Zeppelins.... hmmmm, I like Led Zeppelin, so it's worth a try. I walk in humming on of my favorite Led Zeppelin tunes and I'm excited to see a large wall menu with lots of yummy treats. It's my first time here, so I want to see what they are about. I'm a little confused by the name, but I'm always up to try something new, even if it means taking one for the YELP team. So I knew what a Zeppelin was (large oval shaped German aircraft filled with air), but I didn't get the affiliation. I asked the girl behind the counter and she explained. They take a sandwich bun and empty out the inside. So no cutting it in half like normal, but hallow the roll out and put the sandwich in through the hole. I thought "what a concept". So on my first try here (I came two days in a row) I tried the sandwich. I'm not sure if they always have the buffalo chicken, but they did today so I tried it. I chose the remaining ingredients and it was done in 2 minutes. What a yummy sandwich, it was incredible and I really enjoyed the experience of eating a filled roll. I enjoyed it so much I came back the next day. My intent was to try another sandwich, but the girl behind the counter recognized me and said "you have to try our salads". Now hers where it gets interesting. I asked her "what is your favorite?" She told me she does her custom. She confirmed each ingredient and approved them all. After paying and consuming this salad, I can say it was one of the best salads I ever had. Before I had a chance to ask, she came to my table and asked how was it. I let her know it was incredible and she pre-planned for my response and had written down the ingredients. Talk about a different level of AWESOME!! I'm a fan of Bread Zeppelin and will continue eating here as it is one of the most awesome quick bites to eat in the area. The service is also great. Carbs carbs carbs. I ran into the manager a couple weeks ago at a gas station and he convinced me to try it. Here's the pitch: French Bread, carved out, and stuffed with your choice of salad! The concept intrigued me and wondered if it was any good. The verdict: It was okay. Walking up to the door, there was a piece of paper taped saying what ingredients they were out of. Chicken, steak, apples, banana peppers, fried chicken, grapes, and fried shrimp. What protein was left on the menu? Turkey. If you're a business open until 9pm, you would think to have at least enough food supplies for the day. Running out of a couple ingredients is understandable, but almost completely running out of the different proteins around 5pm isn't a good sign. In the end, I tried a Caesar Salad Bread Zeppelin. It tasted good, but nothing really special. The bread itself was really good. The salad just tasted like a typical Caesar Salad. I was more impressed with the cup of tomato basil soup they had for the soup of the day. They don't have bread bowls here, but they offered me bread guts for free with my soup! (Bread guts=soft middle bread part surgically removed from Bread Zeppelins) Overall, this seems like a okay place to go to lunch. Fresh ingredients that hopefully haven't run out by the time you get there. I'm definitely willing to try this place again during lunch and see if my experience is any different. We wanted to be able to eat at a place that our vegan friend could eat at, so we checked this place out because it was close to us and had good reviews on Yelp. It's nothing amazing, knock your socks off, out of this world... but it was still good. Basically, you can choose between a giant salad or hollowed out bread with deliciousness inside. I chose the zeppelin (aka the hollowed out bread with deliciousness inside). Pretty cool ordering process. Not really sure why they give you a piece of paper with your order on it because no one looked at it, and I just threw it away at the end. I got the seasonal "sandwich" which was buffalo chicken. It tasted really nice. They have a ton of options... tons! Different ingredients to add to your zeppelin, lots of dressing options, etc etc. Again, it was deliciousness... but I didn't get the hype that a lot of these reviews go on and on about. It was a little expensive for what you got. My friend ordered the salad (or bowl... I guess they call it a bowl). It was really expensive, but you definitely got enough salad to feed a small army. I hate to disagree with all these rave reviews, but I think this place is just ok. My dish was in no way a salad stuffed in bread, but instead sandwich filling that was chopped into bite-sized pieces and then stuffed into bread. The sandwich maker literally put two leaves of romaine into my salad, which to me makes it a sandwich with lettuce. I got the Southwest and it was fine. Nothing spectacular...maybe too much dressing covered up whatever flavor would have been there. The bread and sandwich ingredients were very fresh, just nothing special altogether. Was feeling a bit under the weather and I was trying to find a place to get some soup. The cashier was so nice, he recommended the potato leek soup (which they serve on wednesdays) he compared it to mashed potatoes...and if you know me...i loooove mashed potatoes. I found this place via Yelp, searching for something to eat after church. Now, I am so glad that I did! Not only is this spot close to my job, it has large salads for a fair price. I love the champagne dressing that they have, I mix 6-7 things into the salad and have it skillfully chopped up by a courteous employee. I bet you won't regret trying this place out, I've been several times this week alone. I am not saying that this place will replace how often I go to snappys, and I am also not saying that it will not LOL we will see what happens. Upon entering, the room is bright, clean and spacious. All male employees welcomed me and although I'd prefer them to prepare my food wearing speedos, their uniforms were clean and tidy enough. I had a friend with me who explained everything and how it works. (He didn't wear a speedo either- what gives!?) My Atlantis Zeppelin was prepared swiftly and once again my speedo-less boys were friendly with every move they made. I paid about $11 for my chips, drink and Zeppelin. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I will be back. The only suggestion is that all these handsome boys take a few things off while handling all the dressings and flour caked bread rolls. ;) P.S. The bathrooms are stinky and unisex. read more

Today I had the most life changing experience ... I had Bread Zeppelin for the first time. The restaurant was clean, the employees wore their masks. The vibe was great and the food was fresh. Look, I'm absolutely obsessed with this place. When I worked nearby, I came 3-4 times a week, and never tired of it. My proudest moments have been introducing people to Bread Zeppelin. That said, they used to get their bread from a GREAT bakery off Lover's Lane, and they've switched it to a new bakery. I'm assuming they had to in order to meet demand, but it's just not as good. If you just get a salad, this won't affect you, but honestly the bread was the best thing about this place (besides the owners, who are pretty cool). I'm at the point where I'm considering buying my own bread from their original bakery and taking it to BZ myself, or just copy catting the recipes at home. This is a concept every city needs! Especially Charlotte, where I'm from. The whole aspect of putting a salad inside of bread (not slicing the bread like a sandwich but having a hole in the bread) is genius. Plus it was super filling! I got the Metropolitan Cobb salad (zeppelin style which means inside the bread oppose to a normal salad). I also was able to make a few alterations because I don't like tomatoes or blue cheese. Vegetables do not costing an arm and a leg & every time I come here I am consistently getting smaller than normal portions. Today I basically ate lettuce with an occasional chick pea. I was in the mood for a salad and had heard good things about this place so I stopped in for a late lunch. I passed on the bread and opted for just a salad. They have LOTS of choices to select from or you can just make up your own and select your ingredients. The first person put all the stuff for my salad in a clear plastic bowl and passed it down the line where the second person then chops it up really fine and then adds dressing and mixes it all up and places it back in the salad bowl.
