Pretty decently priced I'd say. I got all that done on my lunch break. Well it was a little over an hour, more like an hour and a half but that was still a lot to get done in that short amount of time. He even knocked off $50 because that's just the kind of guy he is. They clearly explained what was wrong with my car, gave me an estimate, and did the work for the price they quoted. If you are a single woman and have experienced less than complete interest in your explanation of your car's problems, then you know how wonderful and rare it is to be treated with respect and courtesy when you are handling repairs for your own car. I had a problem after my first visit I came back and they looked at my car, diagnosed it and discovered that it needed additional work and because they had missed it, they charged me only for the parts, no labor. This honesty was exceptionally refreshing. They also always acknowledged my experience with how my car was running, performing, and working for me. Took my vehicle in to have the brake pads replaced. Was initially estimated about $160 less than the Toyota dealer. I dropped my vehicle off and got a call 30 minutes later saying my brakes still had 40% left and they didn't need to replace anything. I worked with Josh and he was super helpful and recommended some other maintenance issues they saw as well. It's nice to know there is still honest repair shops around! read more

Got absolutely the best service from Josh. I took my GMC Truck in for a suspected rotor issue. It was the rotor, and it only cost me $85 to get the rotors fixed. I had planned on spending at least $3-400 at the dealership. Josh was super nice to work with and there's no question these guys just run a good honest service. Total scam. They advertise $69 per axle, not true. I have a small inexpensive passenger car and I was told $170 for front brake pads and retouching of rotors. When I informed them the rotors had been serviced recently they said they do not install pads without performing work on the rotors $170. They did not examine my rotors if you were wondering. Bottom line don't fall for their B.S., go elsewhere. I looked up a reputable local auto shop who performed the work for $80 and also noticed a minor issue w my brakes (small clip missing) and fixed it for free!! read more

Go here....they are straight-up. If something needs fixed they'll fix it for a fair price. If nothing needs to be repaired, they'll tell you that too. Took my car in to get a noise investigated. Josh and his crew didn't find anything major, but did a minor realignment at no charge. I will definitely be back when I need more work done. read more

I just went there after another well-known tires and brakes business said my struts were bad (I went in because my car creaked and squealed when driving). Quoted me $675. I then got a recommendation from my grandpa to go to Brakes For Less. I went in and was immediately greeted by all smiles and the sweetest dog you'll ever meet. After looking at my car, the two gentleman came in and told me I only had 2 out of 4 lug nuts on my front passenger wheel. They were surprised that I was even able to drive from my house to their shop. Anyway, after chatting about existential matters for a while with Josh (seriously- that guy is great to talk to. I probably told him more about my life than what's socially acceptable.) Overall, the service was quick and exceptional and most importantly- honest. I ended up only getting the lug nuts which cost pocket change. Not nearly $700 like the previous place quoted me. I won't go anywhere else again. Jeff is a trustworthy experienced brake mechanic who has a passion for doing great work .Very gracious with my schedule and my appointment change . He is a good communicator and will give you the straight scoop of what you need vs what you don't need. I had a great experience from start to finish! He showed me the old parts so I got a good visual of the need for replacement parts. I also made a follow up visit and he was happy to double check my master cylinder and he even made sure my brakes were bled correctly which they were. It's rare now in days that you meet an honest, affordable, service center. These guys are just that. Honest folks who will not sell you a service, or repair you don't need. I went in yesterday with what looked to be a leaking rack and pinion. A few minutes later, they determined it was just a broken o-ring in one of the lines to the rack and pinion. 30 minute repair and back on the road I go! If I had taken it anywhere else, I would have been told to replace the entire rack and pinion. Times are tough for a lot of folks, and replacing an entire rack and pinion wasn't in my budget. I'll be seeing the folks at Brakes for Less from now on for my service and repair needs. read more

Dropped off a U-Haul trailer yesterday (May 13) and asked what we needed to do to rent a tow trolley to take a car back to California. Stopped in to hook-up the tow trolley to our truck and found out car doesn't have enough clearance. Exceptional service at a fair price! Had the brakes done on my daughter's car, and asked that they give me an estimate on struts while they were at it (since a well known tire chain store recommended that I have them done, for about $800). Surprisingly Brakes for Less told me that the struts were not yet needed, and wouldn't do them if this was their car!
