I was on mile 700 in a 1500 mile road trip with an emergency after realizing previous brake work from another mechanic left me without a caliper bolt. This happened at around 5 O'clock on a Friday and Robirts was the only shop in town willing to take me in a get me my quick fix after typical hours and cut me a deal. My cars serpentine belt, power steering pump, and rack and pinion went out on a Sunday. After a 5 hour wait for a tow, the tow company recommended Robirts. I'm so glad they did too. Even though I was a first time, towed in customer, my car was ready within 5 days. It was a big job! 6 months later my power steering started making noise again, I called Robirts, got it in, it was fix, no charge to me! This is my mechanic place now and I'm happy with them.. Chris.....I've been" thrown under the bus" !! When I bought this 2014 Acadia I asked for the service records and got 1 page of a 2 page service bill from your sales person...it showed $1778.00 approximately. Nothing showed anything about a transmission. Eric and you indicated more like $5000.00 was invested. Regardless here is what I've been told: Thomason says Robirts was responsible for the "inspection" of the car to whatever criteria you have for them. Does " inspection " mean they certify in operating condition...is that your criteria for placing the vehicle on your lot. Both you and Eric have said you " don't want cars with problems on the lot"....that's good business. When the A/C and brake issue was detected, you readily took it to Robirts and they fixed both ....they must have recognized they had a obligation as you did also. Two days later, the transmission failed and 2 codes flashed on the car dashboard....the car was transported to Robirts on a trailer.... Robirts says " no codes" were found on the car but to have the transmission serviced. It appears " your inspection criteria" required a oil service as It was pointed out to me that the oil was 96%....Robirts also recorded the mileage on the repair bill at 104,000 miles and everyone knows a transmission get serviced at 100K miles...Robirts now says take it to " GM in Bend" as they can service the car with there equipment ...they imply a service will solve the problem however they still insist they have " no codes".... Alison Transmission, a reputable transmission repair shop was contacted and down- loaded codes including a " transmission solenoid failure"....they also advised that shifting to 2 gear has a stutter, the oil stinks and is discolored....lastly, Alison said the expensive " flushing " that Robirts wanted GM to do is not recommend by GM as its corrosive to the clutches.... Robrits said nothing about any of this. The car failed again and was take to Elite in Bend by your Eric...I was advised that they tested it "as a second opinion " for Thomason....they advise the transmission was indicating issues and Robirts " didn't do there job" when servicing this car for your lot....they say they do " lots of work" for you and know what's it requires...Robirts didn't do that. I'm "under the bus"....I have no leverage with Robirts...you contracted with them! They say " no codes" yet 2 other repairman have said they exist....Elite Auto says Robirts didn't do the job and need to fix this issue and guarantee it for 50,000 future miles...he did this previously for another transmission. So you can't dump me...my purchase was with you, your my only contact, you have leverage over Robirts , I have conflicts as I'm only reporting what others have said....even if I consider a lawsuit, in all probability it would be your company as I have " no standing, no contact, no inspection criteria, no relationship for Robirts workmanship. You know this car has about 800 miles on it since purchased....80% by Thomason...4 round trips to Redmond, to my home with Eric and across town to Elite ....I've had one casual trip...this isn't fair. I took my Audi to them during the summer time when my ac went out, and they had apparently fixed it but I kept leaking oil and when I called to get it looked out, I got no returned phone call. They ignored my calls and now I have to take it to Audi because I have leaks everywhere that they had caused. DO NOT GO TO THEM. They gave us a "deal" that costed more for me in the end. read more

Vacation saved. Traveling with the family from the Bay Area in California to Northern Idaho, my truck suddenly shut down in Redmond, OR and would not start back up. This was in the late afternoon. Suspected it was the fuel pump, had it towed to this shop and we checked in to a nearby hotel for the night. Will called us shortly after and let us know they verified it did need a new fuel pump, one of the great mechanics there stayed and worked late that night to replace it which was above and beyond great service. It was ready early the next morning and we were back on the road. Very thankful for them and if we ever need a shop in that area again, will 100% use Robirts Auto Experts. Not gonna lie, I was dreading the thought of having to deal with an auto repair shop when I decided to rebuild my 318 small block. 5 stars all the way here for sure. My wife and I were traveling through the area and had a few days. I had some half assed work done to our vehicle in Reno. However the shop there couldn't figure out the problem and basically we ended up spending to much on a tune up with no real results. I called Robirts auto yesterday explained my problems and I brought the vehicle in the next morning. 3 hours later the car was running great. With a new fuel pump and map sensor my rough idle and lack of acceleration was solved. These guys are friendly and very knowledgeable about their work. Also it's nice to see a mechanic shop helping the community with discounts to seniors, veterans, disabled, and low income family discounts.
